--CHAPTER FIFTEEN--
December 25, 1977
Sunday
Arabella woke up gasping for air on Christmas Day. She had a particularly horrific dream that she was being smothered by Bellatrix's body while she was having the time of her life writing nasty things all over her. Arabella looked down at her arms to see that they were completely cleared of slurs and, in their place, beautiful tattoos. She hasn't gotten used to having the runes there; she sometimes gets startled whenever she looks at her back. It was a constant reminder that she needed to speak to the centaurs. She promised herself and everyone else that she would be going in the new year, so that conversation would have to wait for another day.
Looking at her clock, she saw that it was promptly 4:30 am, so it would be hours until everyone woke up. Arabella decided it would be a good time to wrap everyone's presents.
She took out all the objects, some wrapping paper, and parchment to write them notes.
First, she wrapped Lily and Mary's presents. Arabella had gotten both bottles of enchanted perfume that supposedly smelled like the person's favorite flower. Then she wrapped both Marlene and James' gifts. Arabella had brought them some new quidditch broom kits. For Remus, Alice, and Dorcas, she had gotten them different types of books. She got Dorcas a book on astrology because she was always talking about zodiac signs. For Alice, she got her a book on famous Herbologists throughout history, and finally, for Remus, Arabella got him the first edition 1984 by George Orwell. Peter was probably the easiest to shop for, having bought him a large assortment of Honeyduke's candy. Then for Sirius, she had gotten him a shiny new muggle lighter. She was able to engrave his namesake constellation on it; she had to admit she was very proud of her work. For Benji, the search for a present was a bit harder. He was a bit picky, so Arabella settled for the new AC/DC record. She paid a visit to Zonko's and bought an array of prank supplies for the twins. Arabella had gotten McGonagall some exotic teas and cookies. She even got Dumbledore a present; three pairs of new socks with weird designs on them.
Checking her clock once more, it was now a good time to go out, so she put all the presents in her bag and hauled them up to the owlery. Using almost all the free owls, she had managed to send all the gifts to their destinations, only having to use Scorpius to bring the biggest load of presents to the Potters.

It was around lunchtime when Arabella made her way over to the great hall. She made a b-line straight to the teacher's table, where Mcgonnagall was rolling her eyes at something Dumbledore was saying. She kindly greeted them and handed them their respective presents. Ever since the meeting, Dumbledore and Arabella had been tense whenever they were in the same vicinity. Still, something that Arabella hated was awkwardness, so she tried her best to put her differences aside with the old wizard and acted as normal as possible. After a short chat with the professors, Arabella made her way over to the Slytherin table to sit with Regulus and Evan.
