Charlie and I laid on the grass, staring up at the clouds. Our shoulders were touching as we laid there.

His left arm was under his head as he looked around. I looked over at Charlie to see him staring upward.

The dim moonlight was shining on his face. The natural reflection of it shining on his face made it look good.

His side profile looked really good, I couldn't help but stare at it. "You wanna take a picture? It'll last longer."

Charlie looked over at me with an eyebrow raised. "You're cocky, you know that right?" I ask making him smile.

"Yeah. But you like it." He winked and then looked away. As we lay there in a comfortable silence, I couldn't help but feel calm.

Charlie has this affect on me. He's like a forest fire growing within me, and there's no putting it out.

"Nationals is coming up fast." Charlie spoke making conversation. He was right. We have the rest of April.

And then we have all of May and June. "I honestly can't wait to perform it. It's going to be amazing." I can see it now.

We win first place while I see my friends in the crowd. "I can't wait to see you preform it." I look at him surprisingly.

"You want to watch it?" I ask him. "Of course, I can't miss my girl at Nationals." I bite my lip as I look away.

Hearing him say my girl put butterflies in my stomach. He reached his hand over and softly touches my chin.

He brings it over so I'm looking at him. I look into his hazel eyes, feeling myself getting soft.

"Do I have something on my face?" I ask as his mouth moves upward. "I just wanted to look at you."

I scrunch my nose up as he does the same. I peck his lips and look away. "What was that for?" He asked innocently.

"You're cute." Now it was his turn to blush. As we looked up at the sky, I felt his hand slither into mine.

We laced our fingers together, sending electricity through my arm. It's like our hands were puzzle pieces that fit together.

I heard the back door open causing me to look at it. Lauren was standing there groggily.

Charlie and I sit up at the same time, still having our hands laced. "You okay, Lauren?" I ask as she shook her head.

"I threw up." I sighed for a second. "Where?" I really hope it wasn't on my floor. "Your kitchen sink." I couldn't even get mad.

I sigh again as I stand up. Charlie follows me to help. "I'll clean the sink." He said as I started grabbing my pills.

I give her anti nausea and some allergy medicine to help her sleep. "You can go sleep in the guest room." She nodded and headed towards it.

Lilli was still asleep on the couch and I figure she'll be there for the rest of the night. I look at Charlie tiredly.

I feel like I was going to be taking care of them for a while. I went to Charlie as he leaned against the counter.

I lean my body against him as he rubbed my back. My head was on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

"You want me to stay and help?" He asked as I took a step back. I shake my head as I look at him.

"You don't have to do that." He shrugged. "I wanna help. Two hungover girls by yourself will be hard."

He amazed me. "You can stay under one condition." He rose his eyebrow at me. "You have to cuddle with me."

He looked at me dumbfounded. "Of course I was gonna cuddle." I giggle as he picked up and spun me around.

"Do you have clothes?" I ask when he puts me down. "I can get some really quick." He looked at Lilli quickly.

"Can you handle them for thirty minutes?" He asked as I nodded. "Thanks, babe." I walk him to the door.

He smiled as I opened the door. "I'll see you soon." He kissed me for a half second and then went off my porch.

I watched him drive off as I smile. I close the door and go to my room. I put on a black shirt and red flannel pants.

I sit at my makeup table and start to take off my makeup. I feel like it's been a long day.

After doing my nightly routine, I go check on the girls. I check on Lauren first, and she's asleep on in the guest room.

I turn the light out and go check on Lilli. She was curled up on the couch, in a deep sleep. I grab one of my throws and gently lay it on her.

My door opens and I see Charlie walking in. He had a t shirt on with the sleeves cut off and basketball shorts.

He had his backpack so I guess he grabbed a few things. "You doing okay?" He whispered asked.

I nodded as we walked to my room. We close the door and he sat the backpack down. I flopped in my bed in exhaustion.

Charlie laid next to me, looking down at my hand. "You got your stitches out!" He cheered as he gently grabbed my hand.

He looked at my scar, which didn't look good. I would think he would get freaked out. But he didn't.

He looked down at my scar, and gently placed his lips on it. He looked into my eyes as I wanted to cry.

That was probably the sweetest thing someone's ever done. "You're beautiful." I started to tear up at his words.

"You're going to make me cry, Charlie." I get out. I see him pout a little as he looks at me.

"That's what I'm trying to do." He joked, ruining the moment. "You're a douche." I stand up to turn my light out.

I lay in my bed, getting under my covers. I curl up next to Charlie as he starts to rub my back.

"Goodnight, Char." I tell him getting comfortable. "Goodnight, Taylor. Sleep well." His voice was already raspy.

That's the thing about me and Charlie. Before we met each other, we were just stray hearts.

And faith led us to each other.
