New Moon
The year 2006
Jane leans toward Bella but Edward springs in front of her, Jane instead focuses her gaze on Edward which flings him across the room where he collapses, writhing in agony. Jane concentrates on him with a small smile, enjoying his pain.
Dorothea and Jasper look in shock but knows that they can't interrupt or they would cause more trouble. "Stop! Dorothea, help him!" Bella and Alice rush to his side, Dorothea had dodged the fierce eyes of the mortal for not helping, but what Bella didn't realize was that Dorothea had secretly changed Jane's focus, so as soon as Jane looks away, Edward's pain ceases.
"Jane, dear. The girl?" Jane's gaze now turns toward Bella who cringes, awaiting the pain but nothing happens. Jane's grin is replaced by anger. Aro laughs like a child with a new toy. Jane, infuriated, moves toward Bella, but Dorothea stops her with a tiny gesture but a firm tone. "Jane.."
"Remarkable! She confounds us all. So what do we do with you now?
Dorothea had let out a breath of relief knowing her brother is protected now. Jasper had composed her down back to her throne beside Aro as Marcus continued the conversation entirely bored by the drama already. "You already know what you'll do, Aro."
"She knows too much; she's a liability," Caius spoke next, his glare was stuck on Bella throughout the whole time. "That's true. Unless Edward intends to give her immortality... But that's not your intention, is it? Shame." Aro nods to Felix who moves toward Bella, but he only takes a step before Edward tackles him.
Dorothea can just see what was going to happen in the few hours like a written script, and sometimes she would curse her powers, especially at the moment.
Hearing Bella's shouts for her lover to stop while seeing Jasper helping Alice who leaps to help but several Volturi guards keep her back, which is no easy job. Edward is David to Felix's Goliath.
Edward will lose, but he'll go down fighting. Edward is fast, anticipating Felix's moves before he makes them, but Felix is stronger, Felix grabs Edward, and throws him into the ceiling, smashing him against the marble. He drops like a stone. Is then immediately kicked across the room. Dorothea closes her eyes not wanting to see the scene, plus hearing her siblings crying in pain penetrated her intensely.
"Stop this! Please!" But Aro ignores Bella and leans forward to study Edward's actions. Jane is itching to step in but Dorothea gestured her back with a deadly look as a warning. Felix takes some hits, but then lifts Edward overhead, cracking him like a nut, then flinging him against a wall.
Bella runs toward Aro but a Volturi Guard flings her away the same happens when she tries to get closer to fuming at Dorothea but Alec had thrown her making her fly hard against the wall. "Bella, just stay still." Dorothea's voice was deaf in her ears, not fully trusting the vampire.
All the Volturi guards are then occupied by the thrashing Alice in addition to Jasper's amazing battle skills. Bella, bruised, but not broken, makes another attempt to get to Aro and Dorothea, finally reaches them, and she kneels in front of them. "Do it! Kill me! Just leave them alone!"
Bella yanks her collar back, exposing her neck to him. Aro is surprised and intrigued while Dorothea was silently blaspheming the mortal. "Enough." Felix immediately releases Edward who manages to look up. He sees Bella kneeling in front of Aro.
"Get away from her--" Edward moves toward Aro but is immediately pinned by Jane's invisible powers; he writhes in agony. Alice can no longer bear Edward's suffering and finally said some words, which Dorothea dreads hearing again. "Edward, stop. I've already seen it!"
Edward glared at his sister, responding by telling her to shut it. "Alice, stay out of it." / "I know what to do." Aro, intrigued, gestures for Jane to stop as Edward goes limp. "Ah yes, the clairvoyant. I saw your gift in my beloved Dorothea's thoughts. What is it you've seen?"
"... don't..." / "I'm the one who will change Bella."
Jasper had dash off to help Edward to stand back up straight while Bella is taken aback by Alice's words. Aro is surprised, as well. "Please. Be my guest." / "Not here. Her father is in law enforcement. If she goes missing, there will be questions."
"He is easily dealt with." Cuais scoffed at Alice's excuse, not fully believing anything happening or being said. "It will happen, Aro. See for yourself," She thrusts out her hand. Aro nods to the guards who release her. She gives him her hand. He closes his eyes, giving Dorothea a chance to have telepathy communication with Jasper.
Dorothea was worried while her eyes from time to time would glance at Bella who was fully focusing on Aro and Alice while Jasper frowned at the mortal, insulting her for her next words. Edward had heard Jasper's thought and was enraged but chiefly perplexed.
"Mesmerizing! To see the things you've seen, that haven't happened yet-" Aro's booming voice caught Dorothea's attention, getting her hopes up for a positive response while Alice moves to Edward's side, helping him up to ease Jasper's burden "But. I know your future isn't 100% true, dear Alice."
And there goes Dorothea's heart, breaking, looking around to attain a solution before someone else spoke. Alice had a somber look, not knowing how else to help Edward while the man was in a fighting stance ready to fight for Bella.
Bella however hearing this, her eyes landed on Dorothea, remembering Edward's word that the girl can see the genuine prospect till someone's death. Seeing Dorothea avoiding eye contact with Aro, made Bella furious, speculating that she wasn't going to help save her relationship with Edward so she brought it to her hands.
"Y-Your beloved Dorothea can see the future! See can confirm everything for you-" As Bella spoke, she recognized how the room's tension went soaring, Jasper glaring sternly at her while Edward and Alice look frightened, this was meant a secret only within the Cullens.
As for the Volturi, Marcus had given Dorothea an understanding look for concealing such power while Caius and Aro were piercing hard at the red-hair vampire with a frown and harsh scowl.
"-Seems like your bond isn't that surpassing for her to be hiding such amazing powers from-" / "Bella. Shut it!" Alice yelled while every Volturi had gawked hard at Dorothea who was peering down at the marble floor, ducking the hard scowls given to have including from the mortal.
When Aro had stood up to come closer to Dorothea, Jasper promptly began being protective, desiring to hasten off to save Dorothea while the other half desired to kill Bella but was arrested by his siblings to the ground, quite harshly as the marble floor broke under him.
Dorothea slowly glanced up at Aro, terror was what she was feeling but kept a poker face once their eyes meet.
"Is this true?" Dorothea gave her siblings a glance, who had troubled looks for her, scanning through her brain for a rejoinder but one thing she knows is that she refuses to have this conversation in front of them (siblings), knowing the talk would lead to her in physical agony.
She stood up, she didn't have the equal height as Aro but she placed a mighty atmosphere around her to not showcase her nervousness. "Aro. I beg of you. Let us have this discussion confidentially."
"WHO! Knows? Carlisle? Jasper? Alice-" Aro exploded, harshly turning his attention to the three vampires not far.
