and he said you're heart's on your sleeve
you have to put it back into your chest
or get it out of your mind
and i looked at Thanos and wondered
how he knew that but said nothing
because i wanted to listen
to not interrupt
or act smart
he seemed wise
and he possessed this magnetic energy
it was seeping out of him
i felt it instantly
not a sexual energy
but a calming one

i know people expect vampires to have fangs and suck blood
but they're not supernatural beings
we are supernatural
we have superpowers
they want to take it away from us
they want to feed off of us
