33: A Small Talk

"Hello? Is this Abe? Sorry for calling so early in the morning."

I glanced at my clock and it was just 8:00 am. Yeah, it's in the morning and I'm already late for work; I'm awake, of course...I'm perfectly awake.

Nope, I'm still sleepy.

I pulled my blankets again and snuggled on my pillows. I yawned, almost forgetting that someone was calling me.

"Abe? Are you there? I'll just call later then."

"Hmm...who is this again?"

"This is Nanami Kento, speaking."

My eyes immediately opened wide, all my senses slapping me out of the cozy dream world.

"Nanamin?! Ohayooo! How are you?" I quickly got up from my bed and opened up the windows.

It's not really rare for Nanami to call since we've been keeping in touch after a long time. Working in the business district gives us the opportunity to meet at meetings most of the time. Despite his frank personality, who knew we actually became close friends now, like a family figure of some sort.

"Still the same, Abe. I'm sorry for calling you at this time. I just want to ask if you can give me Gojo-san's contact number?" He said.

"Hm? Satoru's number? He didn't change it though, didn't you had one before?"

"I deleted it."

Oh...right.

I chuckled.

No need to think why Nanami did that. I would've done that too but then Satoru would just keep calling until I already memorized his number, so it's basically not an option anymore.

"I'll send you his number. But then Nanamin, is this what I think it is? Finally got bored of your work?" I smirked while pouring milk on my cereals.

He didn't respond. I thought he ended the call but then after a few seconds, he answered, "Well, I guess so..."

I actually took a second look at the call header to see if it's indeed Nanami.

He's coming back?

"Well then, Abe. See you."

"H-Huh? Oh, okay. Got it...see ya!" I replied, still a bit confused.

But then, I'm really looking forward to it!

I took my shower and changed into some appropriate clothes. Today, the old man from Kyoto's going to visit for the preparation of the school event, so to prevent any more criticism I decided to change my clothes a bit. Well, I just changed my tank tops into long-sleeved black turtlenecks, still with my ivory pants and black boots. Certainly, this counts for the 'appropriate'.

Going outside my dorm, I saw Satoru already waiting in the common room, having a seat while drinking coffee. He looked in my direction after sensing I was joining him.

"Good morning,"

"Ohayo, Yuri. Change of wardrobes?" He chuckled.

"Sort of. By the way, I gave your contact to Nanami, I hope it's okay. He called me earlier and asked for it." I took a seat on the couch's armrest beside him.

He smiled. "Nanami, huh? This is going to be fun..."

Somehow, I already feel bad about Nanami even if Satoru still hasn't done anything.

"By the way, Yuri, I got a visit from two unregistered special grades last night." He said boredly while leaning his head on the couch.

My guess was right?
