Once I kill him, I'll finally die.

This cursed energy he told me about, I know I couldn't control it. My body's just acting on its own, following my last bit of instincts and I don't even know how to make it stop. Either way, it's fine...

I'll die anyway.

Sukuna instantly brought his hands together and formed a seal before my attack could reach him.

"Domain Expansion..."

A massive cursed energy emerged from him, instantly covering the entire area that surrounded us. I didn't realize the place was already down into rubbles as we fought, as I saw a small shrine suddenly appearing behind him. Sukuna then sent a huge blast of flames which collided with my cursed energy, causing it to eat his attack instead of hitting him.

Even if his cursed energy was dominating the place, mine didn't change at all. I could even feel like my cursed energy was slowly eating his domain little by little.

I can still beat him.

I raised my hand once more towards him but Sukuna noticed this and then suddenly flicked his fingers, "Hachi..." he muttered.

Something came up too fast. Before I could even put up my defenses, I felt a slash, an intense deep cut across my body. I didn't even see it coming.

Blood came out from my mouth and my cursed energy immediately took a halt. My body was beginning to regain its control and I was back in a critical condition where I can feel every cell in my body crying for the pain...it sucks.

I chuckled to myself as my legs gave out. Sukuna caught me before I fell.

"That didn't even kill you instantly? What a pain..." He complained.

"Hah...too bad...I...a-almost...killed you...this sucks..."

"Bakana. Do you think you can kill me by just blasting cursed energy? What are you? A child?"

I felt him lifted me off the ground and carried me in his arms. My chest was leaning to him while my head's resting on his shoulders.

"Does it hurt?" I heard him ask after taking a seat at the weird-looking shrine. I was still leaning to him with his hand supporting my back to keep me in place.

It hurts, alright. 'Hurt' is even an understatement. "No...let go of....me...bastard." I gritted my teeth before replying.

He was resting his chin on his other hand while looking at me boredly. He's probably disappointed that he didn't manage to rip me into pieces like some bread. Good. I didn't want him to feel good about himself after all.

I opened my eyes and saw him looking at me. He looked like he's in deep thought, eyebrows a bit furrowed as he continued to look at my pitiful state. I'm even more pathetic than before.

"Sukuna...kill me..." I said bluntly.

"Yeah, sure. Glad to do that, but no..." He immediately replied with a huge smirk which made me irked.

Even at death, he's pissing me off.

"I...hate you..."

"I know. That's why you can't die yet, Sayuri." He raised my chin for me to look at him and even if my vision was blurred, I can see that he was serious now. "Enter a vow with me." He then said in a low tone.

A what?

I gave him a confused look.

"A vow," He repeated. "Give me your soul, Sayuri, and I'll give you mine as well."
