"hawks, we talked about this" you sigh as you start to change clothes he sighs "I need to keep up my reputation babe" "as a fuck boy!" you shout as he looks at you. And you look at him knowing where this will go

"Well if it weren't for my reputation, you wouldn't be the pro-hero you are today, be grateful" he seethed as he walked away to the bedroom. "that reputation is all you ever cared about" you whisper as you change to more casual and leave the apartment.

You and hawks weren't known to the public for 'hawks sake' but the pro hero's did know, him leaving hickies and being possessive gave off enough hints for you to confess.

But you're starting to think it won't be worth it soon.

A week later walking into the apartment you noticed hawks just sitting at the table looking forward, 'oh great' you think "bad day hun" you asked as he ignores you as you just sigh you weren't ready for those words that spilled his lips

"I want to break up"

You stop and look at him, still staring at the window, you open your mouth only to close it "why-"

"I think I like someone else and don't love you anymore"

'ouch' you thought as you stood there and felt the tears form, "o-okay.... I'll grab my stuff and go to my place tonight" you curse yourself for stuttering, you turn to the bedroom not noticing hawks grab his hair and sigh.

Packing your things you come out and see hawks gone and papers on the table he sat on, curious you look at it.

"oh are you done-"  hawks stops at you holding the paper he was trying to hide, his heart drops as you turn your eyes full of pain but you're holding a knowing smile.

You scream causing the windows to shake stopping hawks in his tracks, "GOD" you laugh as the tears finally cascade down your cheeks stinging "I'm so fucking stupid" you hit your head kneeling down as you control your breathing.

Hawks just stood there, he didn't know what to do, "why did I have to fall in love with you" you say to the air "why do I still love you" you say as you rise up and look at him.

"no wait (y/n)! I didn't really want-" he had no time as the door shut and with your quirk scraps the door metal merged to lock you two away from each other.

He hit the door trying to open it, "fuck" he whispered hitting the door one more time knowing he couldnt break it, the door will just find another way to stay locked "I didn't want to end things" he said as he looked at the paper
