In the year 203X, high school student Soma Yoru lived the life of a goth teenager in a world of heroes and villains. One day during a field trip to Lakewood Plaza Turbo, Soma's class were attacked by mysterious dark purple monsters with Turbonic powers, and Soma discovered he possessed Turbonic of his own, and he and his childhood friend, Sakura Hoshi, was separated from his class and found themselves in Neo Riot City. Starting a quest around the world, Soma and Sakura travel the Danger Zone as they face turbonic creatures known as the Ruin and new and old villains as Soma tries to understand his powers as he learns he's the reincarnation of K.O's former darkside, T.K.O.
