Jennie walked back up to the dorms, needing to talk to Chanyol.

She froze slightly when she saw Kai leave their dorm, eyes filled with hot tears. Without hesitation she ran up to him and engulfed him in a strong hug. Her own golden eyes shimmering with unshed tears.

"I'm so sorry Kai"

He hugged Jennie back with the same strength, allowing the tears to escape his eyes.

"It's okay. Her knows, he's accepted it."

Hot tears ran down Jennie's face.  As much as she wouldn't admit it, Chanyol had become family, they all had. He was like her older brother. He helped her clean out her guns when she couldn't open the barrel. He gave her writing paper, and pencils, pens and markers for her Creature Records. He even helped translate them.

Kai let go of Jennie, holding onto her hand as he did. His eyes never met her's and Jennie could tell he was inches away from breaking down.

"I'm gonna go fix up the stone. I'd suggest you go talk to him now"

Jennie nodded and pulled the boy back into a warm embrace.

"I love you Kai. Always and Forever my brother"

"I love you too Jennie. Always and Forever my sister"

Jennie walked into the boy's shared dorm, seeing a teary eyed Chanyol staring out of the window. She sat next to him and stared at the purple night sky alongside him.

"I didn't think I'd make it this far y'know? I always thought that I'd end up dead before I could even find help. Jisoo found me in my old house. Staring at my family pictures. They were all broken, but the images were pretty intact. I never got to thank her properly for helping me."

Tears begun to pour heavily out of the boy's eyes.

"I-I'm scared Jennie. I'm so scared. Death, it's always been a mystery to me. What if I die in hell, but when I'm gone, there's nothing. No family awaiting me at the gates of heaven, no devil waiting to snatch my soul in the fiery pits of hell. Just complete darkness."

His sobs sent shivers through Jennie's body, as she too begun to cry harder. Her golden eyes leaking red tears.

She grabbed the boy and hugged him tightly.

"Im sorry Chan. I'm sorry I couldn't save you. I'm sorry you have to go"

He sobbed heavily into the girl's shoulder, thankful for the soundproofing that he had installed in each persons dorm.

He sobbed until he could feel his lungs giving in. Even as they did he carried on sobbing.

Jennie held him tight, in hopes of holding him there. Keeping him with her.

"Kill the bastards Jen. I love you all."

Jennie begun to hyperventilate, her breath caught in her throat as sobs tore out of her throat.

"Chan. Chanyol! Ya, come on. Y-you promised, you promised to help fill in my book."

She spluttered out the words, pain consuming her thoughts, covering her heart.

"You said you'd be with us till the end.."

Kai entered the room, seeing Jennie hold his lifeless lovers body in her arms, sobbing loudly.

Not bothering to shut the door he ran up to Jennie, and pulled her away from the body, hugging her tightly. Tears pouring out of his own eyes.

"It's gonna be okay Jen. We'll get through this"

Jennie hugged him tightly, apologising over and over again.

As a leader, she felt as though she had let down her whole group, she didn't deserve to be their leader.

The two weren't sure when, but the rest of the group had entered the room, hearing the sobs and cries.

Each person felt tears leak out of their eyes, as they saw the lifeless body on the bed, the boy had a soft smile on his face, even in death

Chanyol was the brightest.
