CH 25 - Motion

Surtiluck Main House

"They are gone." Kits father said in a panic rushing into the house. "The boxes are gone too."

"They didn't get arrested." Kong's father checked his phone. "Which boxes?"

"The B&E and the S&I."

Break and enter and surveillance and infiltrate.

"What do we do?" Kit's father looked worried.

Kong's father rubbed his forehead. "I can't take radio silence between them like last time."

His wife used the spare key Kong left and visited his dorm room, what she did was never spoken of but the two didn't talk for three months.

"Get your flipflops." Kong's father headed for the door. "We need help."

"Who can we call?" Kit's father thought of anyone capable of stopping those two. They were hard to handle alone, together they were dangerous.

"Let's take a walk up the street. It's time to call in the big guns."

"You mean...?"

"Yes." His friend gave him a resigned look, they both knew this was only the beginning. "Only he can stop M&M now."

Heart Memorial Hospital

Simi POV

She looked around the room, something woke her from her nap. She came to see the new doctor, he arranged tests and she had to say a few days. Simi slowly got out of bed when she saw something run past her open door. It looked furry, maybe Bas became a bunny again and was looking for his mum.

She padded down the hallway in her slippers, stopping when she heard the strange sound, turning into music as it echoed through the empty halls. She sat against a wall covering her ears. She didn't like it, it scared her and made her feel sick.

She only stood after she was sure it stopped, heading for the staircase when she saw something move that way. Why was Bas running from her, he came to her now they were friends? She found the furry bundle huddled under the small space at the bottom of the stairs.

"How soon?"

"Wait until you are told."

She hid in the small space too, her heart racing as the voices came closer. Something deep inside told her she needed to hide, the bundle next to her shivered and scurried deeper into the corner. It wasn't Bas and was bleeding. She smelled smoke.

"We need to prepare a secure location before we do anything. To many eyes are watching."

"The lab rats will be ready." A man snickered.

"Don't get too cocky." She saw the men now as they opened the door out of the stairway and the light turned on. "Just be prepared, it will happen, soon."

She knew one, he was a doctor at the hospital, the other was a vampire. It took her a while to coax the duck out and pick it up, she went back to her room but couldn't wake her dads who had fallen asleep. Every time she saw someone, they seemed to be sleeping. She still smelled smoke but didn't see anything burning.

There was no one at the nurse's station, she was going to the emergency room when she saw P'Beam. She followed him and when she saw him get into his car, she opened the back door and climbed in too.
