Chapter 36

"I called Stefan yesterday." Elena says.

"And why does that matter?" Damon asked.

"We can track the call." I answer.

"Elena, we aren't tracking him." Damon says

"Damon, he's your brother." I reply.

"He threatened to kill you."

"That's not stopping me, Damon."

"Wait! Stefan threatened to kill you, Emily?" Elena asked.

"Yes, he did and because of that, neither one of you are going to track him down." Damon says.

"Ok, fine." Elena quits.

"Anyways, Elena and I were planning on having a girls day so I'll see you later." I say giving him a kiss on the lips.

Elena and I left and went to the police station. We walked into Sheriff Forbes office.

"Hi, girls. What can I do for you?" She asked.

"We need you to trace a call." Elena answers.

Elena handed Sheriff Forbes her phone. After several minutes, we got the results.

"It traces to Tennessee." Sheriff Forbes says.

"Why are they in Tennessee?" I ask.

"I know where we can get that information." Elena replies.

We leave the station and head to Alaric's apartment. When we get there, I bang on the door.
Alaric opened the door and he looked tired.

"What?" He asked.

Elena and I walked in.

"First, what the hell, Alaric! You left me yesterday."

"I'm sorry." he apologized.

"Second, what's going on with Stefan being in Tennessee?" Elena says.

"Klaus and Stefan have been tracking down werewolves."

"How are we going to find out where they are in Tennessee?" I ask.

"There's only one way. We need to contact Tyler." Elena answers. "I'll call him and have him meet us at the Grill."

"Ok, you two do that. I'm going back to bed." Alaric says walking away.

"No you don't. Your coming with us." I stop him.

"Why?"

"Because we are going to find Klaus and Stefan. We need you to protect us." I say.

He sighed,"Ok let me get changed."

"I'm going to the Grill. Just meet me there." Elena leaves and I stay behind waiting for Alaric.

He finally came from his room. I looked at him.

"What?" He asked.

"You could at least comb your hair." I say.

"I did." he tried fixing it.

"Here let me." I start fixing it. "There it looks better."

"Thanks." Alaric smiles.

"Your welcome. Now lets go. Elena and Tyler are at the Grill."

I took Alaric's keys off the table next to the door. Alaric followed behind me while I walked out the door. I drove us to the Grill. When we arrived, Elena and Tyler were done talking.

"So what did he say?" I ask Elena.

"There's a pack of wolves in the woods in Tennessee. They are probably there."
