// I am back, guys. I am still in mourning because of my mum, but I will eventually get over it some day. her burial will be on 26th June, so I will be on another break, but don't worry, it will only be a short one. Love you all.

Vanessa's POV

I sat back down on my throne, letting out a deep happy sigh. "You look happy..." Alexandra said to me worryingly, her eyes looking at mine as she was trying to investigate on what happened. Luckily, the whole castle was sound proof so nobody could hear Joanne's screams of pain.

"What? Me, happy?" I asked her, turning my head to look at her. "You must be mistaken." I then said to her, before my lips started to randomly grin at what I had just accomplished. Shit. I was super bad at pretending to not be happy around my people. Especially Alex.

"I can sense it all over you. You are incredibly excited, ever since you finally found your true love, you changed your personality. Why?" she then asked me one of those questions...

"I have realised that changing memories is wrong. I saved her sister..."

"How did you save her? Could you tell me how?" Alex asked me, cutting me off from what I was about to say to her. I let out another deep sigh, trying to keep myself calm through this unbearable pressure, I needed to check on Addison, to see what she was doing. So, I stood up from my throne and began to walk away from Alex. The one jealous bitch.

"EVERYONE KNOWS THAT YOUR MATE IS A HUNTER!" I heard Alex shout at the top of her lungs which made me come straight back over to her, grabbing her neck and squeezing it until she could no longer speak. When I watched her eyes closed for sleepy time, I let out a deep growl before hearing a gasp behind me. Oh no.

"Why are you killing your people...?" my mate asked me which made me slowly turn my head to stare at her. "They offend me sometimes, especially when they speak about you." I replied, turning my head back to look at Alexandra. I was glad that I was one of the strongest of them all. When I turned my head to look back at my mate...she had went somewhere else. I guess she was exploring my loving home. Bless her broken soul.

Alexandra was actually right...I was indeed excited about having a mate. I didn't care that she was a hunter or one of the lost ones as we call them when a human manages to survive the entire war on their own, or with a sibling etc. I never wanted a mate until now as it already happened as I keep getting tingly feelings in my stomach. I don't recall having that feeling before either.

"Keep yourself under control, Vanessa..." I told myself before I walked out of the room so that I could find Addison. I could tell that she had a shower as she smelt beautiful and delicious, I could just eat her up right here and there...but she would not want me to and that was understandable as vampires and humans do not get along quite well together.

I was walking towards the dining room until I started to overhear a sweet conversation from Addison...

"I love you, Nat. I love you even if you are a vampire, you will always be my sister. No matter what."

I decided to look into the dining room, only to see them hugging each other. Perfect family reunion.
