We were late and the first class had already started, from what I've heard Mr Robert hated late comers. That year I really wanted a clean record and healthy relationship with my teachers, but turned out I attracted r bad things.

"Good morning sir, sorry we are late" Dee said.

"Detention both of you" he answered without even looking our way.

"But sir you haven't heard our reason" I said.

"Don't care this is a Math class you will be early no matter what" he stated.

I turned and went to seat at the back near Nat and Dee followed. They both looked at me like I was an alien. I knew why, if it was last year I wasn't going to go down without a fight. First of two reasons I didn't talk back to Mr R was because he is scary as hell. That man needed to shave his beard. Second reason is I had changed, I was more mature but they would never understand not that I myself did. The previous year I had a reputation of standing up to authority. They would give me detention, I wouldn't attend end of story.

First three classes were boring more or less. It was finally lunch and I was starving. The school didn't allow us to get out side during school hours. Typical. But us students had a backup gate, we were against being caged and made to eat the food that was sold inside the school. The day the Vandals tore the brick wall led by Tim of course was the day Tim got his recognition as a bad guy. People both feared and worshipped, his first order of business as the new leader was to demolish the weakest brick wall know to man and free his humble servants from the cages of education. The school didn't have much money to build a secure wall the wall was already unstable that I could have toppled it over with my left hand.

Most people went to TT's cafe for lunch so it was usually packed. But me and my friends discovered a nice place called Fire up. It was really far from the school but it was worth the walk and time because it was usually empty and they made the best chips/fries.

"Guys guess who walked with us to school today" Dee shouted with a goofy look. I knew this was coming and I had to give it to her, she managed to stay quiet three whole classes. She deserved a standing ovation.

"Was it Jesus?" Chloe said. Dee frowned and smacked her at the back of her head and I couldn't help but laugh.

"So who was it?" Nat asked.

That made Dee smile again and she looked at me. I just shrugged she was going to tell them anywhere and it wasn't not like it was a big deal. Her smile grew wider and she started making a drum roll sound for suspense.

"It was Tim" she whisper shouted her eyes open wide.

Chloe, Chantel and Nat looked at each other and laughed. They laughed so hard that I ended up laughing as well.

"I was with Michael Jackson" Chantel said in-between laughs.

"That's not true he's dead" Dee said with a frown.

"Exactly" Chantel deadpanned.

"Kim you can tell them they will look at your eyes to see if you are lying" Dee exclaimed like she has just made a world changing discovery.

My eyes are unique, I think so. They change colour according to my mood. Purple my happiness and normal mood, red is rage, orange is surprised, blue is sad, green I'm not sure about but it's usually when I'm sick. Then there is white/silver that's when I'm lying. It has it's advantages like moments when you are trying to prove your innocence and that's about all the advantages it has. The list of disadvantages is long.

"It's true" I said.

Just like that they stopped laughing. And looked at me. Now the three of them just looked shocked.

"How?" Nat finally spoke.

"Ask Kim" Dee said.

We had finally arrived at the Fire up and I had no intention of answering that question until after I had ordered. I didn't know if it was a good thing or not but Tim and his gang were right at the entrance, and it seemed my friends saw that too.

Tim and his friends were not in school uniform meaning neither of them went to school.

"OMG guys, please act normal and don't embarrass me" Nat whispered to us.

Well we were acting normal until Tim waved us over and my friends were smiling like the idiots that they are. I for one was not moved by this.

"Hey girls" said one of them, to be honest I really didn't know their names. I knew Tim because we've been classmates for three years and the same school for as long as I can remember and it was really hard to not notice him with all the attention he got.

"Hi" my friends replied in unison.

Tim nudged the one that greeted us at the back then looked at me.

"Tim wants to speak with you in private" the greeter said to me and I nodded. Pecks of being a leader you don't even have to strain your lips and tongue with talking when someone else can do it for you.

As if on cue Tim stood up and led me to the other side of the shop.

"I wanted to thank you properly" he said.

"As I said it was nothing" I reply with a smile. Did I really say it was nothing? I don't remember.

"I knew you will be here so I thought I should thank you and it was something you saved my life" he said.

Stalker alert again.

He knew that I'll be there? That was weird he even knew where I lived.

"Me and my gang also come here" he must have realized what he had said.

"Okay" I said with a nod.

"Would you like to come to my party on Friday?" he asked as if unsure of his own question.

"It's ok if you don't want to" he said probably because I took long to answer.

"I'll come if my friends are also invited" I said.

"Deal" he smiled.

He just smiled he never smiled and I couldn't help but smile too his smile is contagious, he should smile often. For some reason my heart flipped, it was amazing seeing him smile for the first time. It was like the end of the Berlin Wall, pun intended.

"By the way what the hell are you doing here you are injured and you should be resting" I said in a semi serious voice.

"I'm alright" he shrugged it off.

"No you are not" I said.

"Ooh she cares" he smiled.

"I'm your doctor, I'm supposed to care" I said and he laughed and I joined him.

Was this guy trying to give me a heart attack? First he smiled then he had to laugh.

"Are you still coming today at my house for our assignment?" he asked after we had stopped laughing.

I honestly had forgotten about that.

"Sure" I said and he smiled again.

We went back to the others and Dee had ordered food for me, she knew me to well. I dug in immediately. We started chatting and it was really nice talking to The Vandals.

The day was really event less and before I knew it the day was over.

"Dee do you by any chance know where Tim lives cause I don't and we have to start the assignment?" I asked as we walked out the school.

"No I don't but Nat does, me and her are meeting up for our assignment as well so we'll take you there" Dee replied.
