Personality
Yura is often rather joyful to be around, he's witty intelligent and a massive flirt. He tends to turn every situation into a joke and can't go into a fight without bringing forth a little banter to 'lighten the mood'. His main motivation in life is money, he goes where the money calls him and will often offer up his services to the highest bidder, saying that you would think that Yura isn't trustworthy but that's not the case. Once Yura has accepted a contract he is incredibly loyal, although loyalty to his contracts is where that ends. He's closed off to people and won't let them get too close, of course, he'll flirt, play and even act like your friend but behind his back will always be a knife. For certain contracts, he has had to get close to people, close enough to know their secrets and then still kill them in the end which is why he often shuts off his heart and emotions only letting the playful fun side of himself out at all times. 

If you ignore the fact that he is probably trying to kill you Yura is a lot of fun and often makes bad jokes to entertain the people around him, at times he is the only one who thinks he is funny but when he isn't around people are quick to notice how dull and dry the atmosphere is without him. He isn't worried about who he plays with, or jokes with, it can be a friend, a boss or even a target, either way, it's all fun and games for Yura. 
Of course if you were able to dig deep into Yura, sometimes he never lets anyone do you may be able to catch small glimpses of a broken child, bloody past and a very lonely man.

Yura is a skilled swordsman, he makes it look like art and sound like music. 
He also has a knack for tracking people down. 
Yura is agile, physically strong and has rather high endurance, he also knows a little about medicine from taking care of himself for so long. 

History 
Yura was taken from the southern water tribe when he was just a baby, parents were killed and his elder sister was taken with him. Bandits were planning on selling the two of them off as slaves, or worse. They were sold to a man in the fire nation who still held onto what Ozai had engraved into them. He was cruel to both children and often abused Yura's sister using Yura as a tool to keep her in place. Yura was eight when his sister killed herself, the fire nation man who owned them had no use for a ratty little water tribe boy and cast him out, he managed to fend for himself for a little while, stealing and often getting beaten for it in the streets. When he was ten Yura was taken in by what he thought was a kind man, he was taught how to use a sword and given anything he could have wanted. Everything seemed okay for a while until Yura learned that what he was given came with a prince, the man would often go into bursts of anger and cruelty taking it out on Yura. 

He would beat him, break his bones and cut his flesh. This went on until Yura was fourteen and couldn't take it anymore, Yura lashed out and killed the man running away with a sword and whatever money he could find. For a while with that money he lived good, hopping from place to place and killing anyone who threatened him. That was until the money ran out and Yura was left with little options, he discovered he was good at killing, and that people were willing to pay for others to disappear. Yura was seventeen when he took his first contract and has been taking them ever since.
