Rory's Pov:

I just kept hearing Tristians words over in my head, and I couldn't get them out.

There was no way he liked me.

He was popular, and I was a bookworm.

I was clumsy, and he seemed like a typical jock, in my opinion.

It just didn't make sense.

I tried the whole day, to push it to the back of my mind.

I was successful, until the class I had with Paris, and Tristian.

"Just fantastic," I think sarcastically to myself.

"Look who joined us Mary," Tristian teases.

Alright this joke was getting old.

"The name is Rory!," I yell at Tristian, and I know he heard me.

He just laughs, he thinks it's funny, that he gets on my nerves.

Paris sits next to me, and just glares at me.

I just stare at my notebook, and listen intently to the lecture.

It was on Anatomy, and I took notes carefully.

I wasn't exactly perfect at this subject, but it was fascinating to me.

I loved to take things apart, and see the organisms involved in it.

The teacher has her back turned, and suddenly I'm hit with a paper note.

I unfold it carefully, so I won't crease it.

It just says:

You're very pretty today.

No signature, but I can guess who it was from.

To my relief, the bell rings, and I go to my locker, to get my books to go home.

Tristian is right behind me though, and smirks at me.

"Hi Mary," Tristian says once again.

"Goodbye Tristian," I say, almost seeing red.

"Wait I thought I could ride you home again," Tristian says hopefully.

"No thanks," I say, hoping he would get the hint, and leave.

But he doesn't.

"Aw come on Mary," Tristian begs.

"No my bus is coming," I say sternly.

"Mary," Tristian says.

"Just leave me alone already." " And if you're going to speak to me call me by my name," I say annoyed, and completely lose it.

"Whatever see you Mary," Tristian says, all jokes aside.

He sounds sad, and I feel kind of bad.

So I do something stupid.

"Wait Tristian I'm sorry," I say, and he hurries back.

"What was that?," Tristian asks, holding his ear like he didn't hear me.

"I'm sorry," I say a little louder.

"It's okay," Tristian shrugs, and walks away.

No snarky annoying comment, that was different.

The bus pulls up, and I am on my way back to Stars Hollow.

Thank god.

Today was crazy.

My head was spinning, and I needed a donut, or something sweet, and sickly.

But instead I walked to Kim's Antiques.

I needed to rant to Lane.

"Lane!," I shout.

"Dining room!," Lane shouts.

"Left or right?," I ask.

"Right!," Lane says.

Finally I find her, and rip off a piece of my pretzel I had got on the way.

"You're a lifesaver," Lane says gratefully.

"No problem." "I need to rant," I say angrily.

"Okay spill," Lane demands.

I go into the whole story about Tristian and Paris, and the whole Chilton situation.

"Wow Rory that's a lot." "As for Tristian I'm pretty sure he likes you," Lane says giggling.

"Your no help," I mumble under my breath.

"Sorry," Lane apologizes.

"What time is it?," I ask suddenly.

"Six," Lane says, staring at the clock.

"I'm late I gotta go." "Thanks for listening," I say gratefully, and hug Lane tightly.

"No problem," Lane smiles, hugging me back.

I run as fast as I can to Luke's Diner.

I see Lorelai siting at our usual table.

She is arguing with Luke.

Good I needed a distraction from my life tonight.

And this was the perfect moment.
