"God. How did this happen!?" I could feel my hands shivering with fear as Samantha was cleaning the blood on her face. "Sam, tell me what happened."

She opened her mouth to speak but closed it again. I took her hand and her eyes wouldn't stop staring at the bloodied napkin with which she cleaned her blood. She was frightened.

"Damn it, speak woman!" David shouted but I gave him a glare which made him remain quiet.

"My boyfriend...." Her voice was low but it seemed to echo in the silent room. "He came here. I thought maybe he wanted to get back together so I opened the door and he pushed me. He wasn't alone, Eddie was with him. They asked about you and I wondered why. Tried asking them but they said its none of my business. When I didn't tell them where you were, they beat me up and left the house." She managed to say it in her shaky voice which was full of dismay. My expression had turned grim as I turned my head to look at David, who was leaning against the wall.

Even he was worried. "Why are they trying to-"

"I don't know." My heart began to sink. Why were they looking for me? What did I do to them? I didn't even know who was Samantha's boyfriend.

"Where does your boyfriend live?" David came closer to Samantha who looked up at him.

"David, leave it." I touched his arm but it didn't have any effect on him. His eyes were showing rage and he was ready for a conflict.

When Samantha told him the address, he rushed out of the house and I followed him. He was fast. It was hard to catch up with him.

"Wait!"

He didn't listen, just continued walking.

"David!" I shouted and he finally. Slowly, he turned around. "Stop this madness! Stop being concerned about me! I can't take this anymore. You just came into my life out of nowhere and now, you're acting like if you've known me for years! I know being friends is alright but why are you-"

"Because I care about you!" He answered. "I know you're innocent." He came closer and caressed my cheek with one of his hand. It was cold but his touch sent chills down to my spine. "Have you seen how worried you look when you're in trouble? Have you ever noticed that you have no confidence?"

I couldn't quite make out if he was angry or just frustrated. Even though his voice sounded a bit harsh, his eyes showed the same warmth they always had.

"I can't keep myself away from you." He sighed and looked down. "I'm sorry if I bothered you. You are right. We should have some distance between us." His hand moved away as he stepped backwards and turned around.

Don't go. I didn't mean this.

My body seemed as if it was frozen. No movements were made by me. The least I could do was watch him walk away in that dark narrow street with the moonlight glimmering on him. His figure turned smaller and smaller as he walked more and more away. Soon he vanished. This was my fault.

"I never imagined I'd say this but David is different." Samantha gave her opinion as she lied down on the couch.

"Yeah." My mind wasn't concentrating on Samantha. All I could think about was David. His voice sounded so lonely when he said that last sentence before leaving me, that we should have some distance between us. I didn't want this to happen, not like this.

"Are you even listening?" She raised her eyebrows and looked at me with an annoyed expression. "What happened? Did the docs say something?"

"No. There's this girl, her name is Sara." There was hesitation in my voice but Samantha always had that reassuring look on her face which encouraged me to speak "She's the girl David likes."

"And you are jealous of her?" A smirk formed on her face.

"No, I haven't even seen her. Well that is the problem. I want to see her."

"Sara..." She tapped her finger on her head, trying to recall the name. "Ah, do you know her last name?"

I shook my head and she frowned with a long sigh. "Can't help you then. I might try researching about it later on." Making herself comfortable, she turned on the TV which clearly meant that she didn't want to talk anymore.

I went to my room and I was surprised to see everything in its place and dusted. Sam didn't even touch this place. It was my same cozy little clean room with that comfy looking bed and all the books arranged in the bookcase.

It felt good being back home. I lied down on the bed and closed my eyes. I saw David's face and my eyes opened immediately.

'Stop thinking about him. This is wrong.'

I buried my face into the pillow but again his face appeared. His tempting smile, his warm eyes, his red flushed cheeks and his fluffy hair. He was doing some type of sorcery on me, hypnotising me. Slowly my mind went blank and I drifted into sleep.

David's Point Of View

"Thiago Silva and David Luiz, are you two here?" The coach looked around and we both stood up. He gave a nod and we both sat down.

"This is useless. Why is he taking the attendance? It feels like if we're back to school." My voice sounded annoyed and Thiago laughed.

"This isn't Chelsea." He replied "By the way, why so sad?"

Sad? Was I sad? Thiago knew me very well because we had been friends ever since I became a football player.

A sigh escaped from my mouth "No Thiago. I'm just-"

"David, is it a girl?" He smirked and winked his eye. Damn he was a genius. Did he observe it from the way I was talking?

"Yeah but I don't love her, we're just friends. Or were friends." I looked down at my hand.

"Let me guess. She was fed up of you because you were too caring towards her and told you that she needs some space." He said it as if it was no big deal but for me it was. He was so accurate. It felt like if he was scanning my mind.

"You are a feiticeiro! (sorcerer)" I exclaimed with fascination and punched him on his arm gently.

He chuckled slightly. "Don't worry, she'll come crawling back."

Would she? Last night she sounded like if she didn't care about me. She hated me. Wanted me to go away and leave her alone. I couldn't let go of her like this. There was something about her that got me closer to her.

My phone started to buzz in my pocket and I took it out. When I read the number on the screen, I was startled. Without hesitation, I clicked 'answer' and said it out loud.

"Listen, I'm sorry!"

Thiago looked at me with the cheeky smile on his face.

"No, I'm the one who's supposed to be sorry!" She replied "I can't believe I called on the right time, I was worried your flight might have taken off." She stopped and then with guilt she said "David, forgive me."

"It's alright. Both of us were irritated last night." A smile formed on my face. "Well we are at the airport right now."

She took a minute trying to find correct words to say. "I'll miss you...a lot." I could imagine how her face might have looked like when she said that.

"I'll miss you too, Areesh."

"Areesh? Is that her name?" Thiago slightly punched my arm but I ignored him.

"So...it's a pleasant day today, isn't it?" Her voice was low and a little squeaky.

"Yeah. It's a good day to sit outside in a park and have a cup of latte. That's what I'd do."

"David, it's time to go." Thiago stood up and fixed his hat.

"Areesh, take care of yourself. Don't open the door of your house without checking. If Eddie is there, don't respond."

"David, take care of yourself and Good luck."
