Today was the day. It was Brazil's match against Croatia and David was more excited than anyone else in his entire team.

He had bought me a Brazil jersey with his name on the back. Along with the jersey, there were some other gifts; a plush doll of David, and a keychain with the Brazil football team logo. Just showed his loyalty towards the team.

"David, you said you were going for grocery shopping." I sighed as I held the jersey in my hands.

He gave me a vigorous smile. "You have an hour to get ready, I'll meet you at the stadium!" David hastily gave me a kiss on my cheek before leaving the house.

I had to get ready quickly. If this match was important for David, it was important for me.

When I arrived at the stadium, I saw no one except for some people who were passing by on the street. It kept me wondering if I was on the right time. When I walked towards the entrance, the guard gave me a huge smile and granted me entrance. The stadium was empty. This was all so perplexing.

Then some football players entered the pitch, most of them looked at me in a very puzzled manner. I spotted Neymar, Oscar and Thiago but David wasn't with them.

Oscar came towards me with a smile on his face.

"Oscar, where is David?" I asked him.

Just then David came down from the stairs which were near the audience chairs. He was carrying a microphone in one of his hand.

I could see his smirk from so far away. "Areesh, can you believe it? We made it. Nothing stopped us. No one could stop us from loving each other." He spoke in the microphone.

The others looked at me and chanted 'Aww' in unison.

David was now on the pitch and was walking towards me. "Do you remember the day we met?"

"How can I forget? It was this stadium." My voice was loud enough for everyone to hear. "You saved me from falling down on the ground. That wasn't the only time you saved me; you've protected me numerous times."

He laughed. "Sure I did. But you saved me too. You loved me. You made me look at the world in a different manner. You made life worth living."

David was now standing in front of me. "And that's why...." He got on his knee and took out a ring from his pocket.

This was unbelievable. A squeak left my mouth and I covered my mouth with my hands. The tears were about to drop off, but I didn't let them out yet. I wanted to hear those four words.

"Will you marry me?" There it was. My tears dropped uncontrollably.

I screamed as loud as I could. "Yes! David, Yes!"

He quickly slid the ring into my finger and got up. I hugged him tightly. He picked me up in his arms and spun around.

The others were clapping furiously. Some were even whistling.

This day was unforgettable. David had officially become mine. He had proved that his love was true for me in front of the whole world. I loved him and he loved me and nothing could stop us. Nothing.
