I didn't have the words to describe the fun in Paris. David was always there, and I was never lonely around him. Going to amusement parks, dinners, tours around the museums and obviously, watching him play football matches. It was the best experience of my life. But my time in Paris was about to end.

"Areesh, have you seen my training shirt?" David shouted from the bathroom.

"Yeah, it's right here." I sighed as I took the shirt and walked lazily towards the bathroom door.

He came out, wearing a white bathrobe and peered at my face before taking the shirt from me. "Is everything alright?"

"It's my last day in Paris." I bit my lower lip.

David was surprised. He probably didn't expect a month to pass so quickly.

"We'll talk about it after you get dressed." With a slight smile on my face, I left the bathroom and made my way to the small kitchen in the suite.

It was frustrating to think about leaving France without David. With him, life was routine, without him, life was unbearable.

For now, I decided to make him a nice warm cup of tea.

"So, you'll be going tonight?" He stood behind me and draped his arms around my waist.

I shrugged. "I guess."

He sighed heavily. "Don't go."

A slight giggle escaped my lips as I heard the childish tone of his voice. "I think you know how important my job is for me."

"What are you doing right now?" David looked over my shoulder, and peeked at what I was making. "Ah, you're making tea?"

"It's for you." I mumbled.

"That's nice of you." He paused for a moment and then said. "Why don't you come with me for the open training session? There will be fans but you can stay with me. I'll also introduce you to the PSG players."

"I'd love to!" I looked up at him and I felt him smile slightly as his lips touched my forehead.

~

All the PSG players were welcoming and fun to be around with. At first, they stood stock still, and stared at me with their mouths wide open. However, after David introduced me, they became friendlier.

After their training, they invited me to the cafeteria which David almost refused but I accepted their request.

"Why'd you refuse to them?" I asked him as we sat on the chairs of a table.

He shrugged. "I don't know-"

Before he could complete his sentence, I heard a scream from the door of the cafeteria. It definitely belonged to a girl.

David and I stood up and made our way towards the door but the others didn't really care much. They just thought it was a fan.

"David!" She shouted. A guard blocked her, though, and her face was invisible from where we stood.

"Let her go!" Me and David said in unison, and the guard loosened his iron grip upon the unknown girl. One look at her was enough to render me speechless.

David stumbled, and took two steps to regain his balance. His hand flew to his mouth and his eyes widened. "Sara..." He whispered.

She dashed towards him and hugged him tightly. "Meu Amor. (My Love)"

My eyes became watery as I watched the whole scene. He looked at me and shook his head. "Areesh, I swear I don't know why she came here..."

Sara pulled back and looked at me with a grin. She touched the small baby-bump on her tummy then said something that I'd never expected to hear. "I'm carrying his child."

Those words stung, harder than any bee sting. I felt numb, as though the ground was about to give way and drop me into the vast, undiscovered unknown. I couldn't think, I just felt pure numbness.

"What are you saying?" David gripped her arm angrily. "We never did anything like that! Areesh, she's lying! Please, believe me."

My eyes leaked tears. "No! You are a liar! I can't believe you lied to me! You said that you were a virgin-"

"I am! Listen to me! Sara is lying!" David shouted but it was too late.

I couldn't stand there any longer. My legs shook in synchrony with my lips, as I darted out of the cafeteria.

The tears made my vision blurry but David's agent came running towards me. "Miss, are you alright?"

"I need to go to the airport. I want to go back to Brazil right now." My words were muffled by tears, and it took him a minute to understand what I was saying.

"Miss, don't cry... I'll do something." He took out his phone and quickly dialled a number as he walked. I followed him.

~

As soon as I arrived in my hotel room, my phone buzzed uncontrollably. I knew exactly who was sending me those messages but it hurt to even look at them. He would have been on his way and that's why I had to hurry. I tossed all my clothes in the bag and closed it.

But I was too late. The door opened and David entered. "You need to listen to me-"

"I can't!" I shouted as I dragged my bag out of the room but he blocked my way. "Move..."

He came closer, and whispered in my ear, his warm breath tickling the nape of my neck. "I won't..."

"Why are you doing this?" A pair of tears raced down my cheeks and my sobs echoed through the quiet room.

His thumb traced my cheek bone, wiping away my tears. "You know I love you."

My voice shook. "You don't."

"Give me a chance." He added.

"I don't want to ruin your family. And if you love me, you'll have to let me go." I moved away, quietly and quickly.

He stood still, his nose turning red and his eyes becoming sterner as the seconds ticked by.

But then he looked down and moved away from the entrance. "I'm doing this because I love you..."

Ignoring his words, I carried the bag outside and I heard his last sentence behind me.

"You will come back to me. I will make sure of that." His words echoed through my mind as I stomped out of the room.

I promised myself that I'd never see him again in my entire life.
