Chapter 7

I woke up and checked my phone, 6 missed calls from mom and texts from Aidan and mom asking where I was. "Sam! Wake up we're late for school! Sam we gotta go!" "Oh shit." He said and we both ran to my car. I let him drive back home.

We got to my house and he parked. "Let's go to school together." He said and I nodded. "Hurry up!" He said and I ran inside. I quickly changed into legging and a white flowy crop top. I put on sandals and put my hair in a messy pony tail. I grabbed my makeup bag so I can do my make up in the car and I ran back to the car. I saw Sam was already in the car so I just got in and he drove. I started doing my makeup. "You don't need it." "Yeah whatever." "I'm serious." He said and I ignored him and continued doing my makeup. I finished and looked at my phone and saw class started in five minutes. "Sam hurry up!" I said and he pulled into Westside. We both ran to Mr. Salazar's class and as soon as we walked in the bell rang. "Goodmorning class today we will..." He began and that was the beginning to a long day.

I was walking out of my last period with Sam when my brother came up to me. "Abi where were you?" He asked and walked with us. "With Sam." I answered. "Oo really?" He said and winked at us. "Seriously?" I said and rolled my eyes while Sam just laughed. "Well next time answer my texts." He said and walked away. I continued walking to the car with Sam. "I wanna drive." I said and he handed me the keys. "Thanks for yesterday. I had a lot of fun. You aren't that bad." I said and smiled at him. "Does that mean I get to call you babe now?" He asked hopefully. "No." I said and he sighed. "But you can call me Abi if it makes a difference." "Perfect Abi." He said and smiled. We arrived at my house and I got out of my car. "Bye thanks again for yesterday." I said. "Anytime bye." He said and we both walked to our houses. I walked in and saw my mom and dad sitting in the living room. "Abigail Hernandez come here right now!" My dad said and I walked to the living room. "Do you think that you can just leave and not tell us where you are?" My mom asked. "I told you that I wasn't going to be home." "You said you were going to be home late not the next day and you didn't even tell me where you were." "Ok I should have told you where I was but I got to school on time and I'm here now." I said trying to get myself out of trouble. "This is a warning Abigail. It better not happen again do you understand?" My dad said. "Yes." I said and walked to my room. I sat on my bed and did my homework. My phone buzzed and Sam texted me,

I put my phone down and waited for him to answer. Minutes later I heard a knock but it didn't come from my door. I opened the balcony door and saw Sam. I laughed and let him in. He laid on my bed and I sat at the end.

"What do you want to do?" I asked Sam.

"Let's go for a walk"

"I told you they aren't gonna let me out of their sight"

"We'll go through the balcony" I shrugged

"Okay" I said and he went out first. He climbed to the middle then jumped off.

"Come on" he said signaling for me to climb down. I threw one leg over the railing then the other and slowly climbed down.

"Sam I'm gonna fall" I say laughing.

"Don't worry I'll catch you" he says seriously.

"Sam I'm seriously going to fall" I say climbing slowly climbing down.

"Ok just fall back. I promise I'll catch you"

"Promise?"

"Promise" he says. I let go and fell back with my eyes closed.

"I told you I would catch you" he says and kisses the side of my forehead.

"Thank you"

"You can put me down now Sam"

"No thank you Abi" he says carrying me around the back of my house to the front. He put me down and we walked to the park. We sat on the swing and talked.

"Hello" I say picking up the phone.

"Abi where are you?! Mom's been calling you, we're having dinner and you have to he home" Aidan says through the phone.

"Are you for real?"

"Yes get home now"

"Can you cover for me for like 5 minutes? Please umm... Tell mom I'm taking a shower I'll be home in 5 minutes"

"Ok hurry" he says and hangs up the phone.

"Sam we need to go now. We're having dinner and I'm not home!"

"Let's go" he says and we run to the house. "Thanks Sam. I'll text you later" I say kissing his cheek and climbing up to the balcony. I opened the door and locked the door. I made sure I didn't look tired before going downstairs to eat dinner.

"Thanks Aidan" I said quietly and sat next to him.

"We're having the Wilkinson's over for dinner tomorrow so make sure your not late" my mom says setting the table. I nodded and we ate.
