I went back to my dorm after class, slept, and got ready when I woke up
I decided to wear a t-shirt skinny jeans combo because I bet there will be lots of dancing sweaty teenagers bumping onto me
I don't want my favorite clothes to be covered in other people's sweat, it's.. ewwww...
Before heading to the parking lot, I head on out to a nearby fastfood restaurant named Iceland Restaurant and Bakeshop
There are lots of posters with food on them outside the restaurant, which makes me hungrier.
I need food.
The warm air of the restaurant hits my skin, and the aroma of food enters my nose.
The restaurant is jam packed.
I walked around the whole restaurant to see if they had any more seats, but much to my dismay, there wasn't...
Wait! There's one! On the counter between a fluffy haired girl and a guy who's hair looks like the half of a coconut
Yeah. Well I'm hungry, so no 'shy Adriana' today, I need to get my grub on.
I take a look at the menu that was handed to me by the cute chubby waitress, after scanning the menu, I decided to eat Iceland rice and ordered
I was staring at the counter but my own mind was telling me
'Adriana, talk to them, make some new friends'
'I'm shy'
'Being shy will get you nowhere, now stop complaining and talk to them!'
"Hey." I turn to the fluffy hair girl
She points to herself and asks "me?"
"Yup."
"Oh. haha hey, nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you too" I gave her a warm smile "What's your name?"
"Denise. How about you?"
"Adriana, sooo.... you study here?"
"SU? nahhh... I'm just here for the concert"
"Are they good?"
"Yeah. They are awesome. That's why I came all the way from China."
I stare dumbfounded at her "China?"
"Yup. China."
The waitress gave me my order, I took a bite and it was awesome the sauce of the veggies plus the egg was harmony, and the dish wasn't that expensive either. I should come here more often...
"So you know how to speak in Chinese?" I ask
"Heck yeah I do" She laughs at me
"Well then... what's 'hi' in Chinese?"
"你好 (ni hao)"
"Coooooool. What about... beautiful?"
"漂亮 (piao liang)"
"Cool. But seriously, you're not serious that you just came all the way from China just to watch this band..."
"Haha. yeah, I was just joking" she chuckles "I went here for 'family purposes' " she air quotes the words "which I do not know because my parents won't tell me" she lets out a frustrated sigh
"Don't fret, forget about it and just enjoy" And I gave a her a wacky smile
"Haha yeah, I will" and she offers a warm smile "Oh! I think the concert's starting, come on!" and she drags me out of the diner
When she opened the door, the smell of alcohol and sweat hit my nose. Did I forget to tell you that the parking lot was right in front of Iceland restaurant?
We squeezed in between lots of people just so we could get a better place and view; and sh*t. What a view it was.
