A/N: This is going to be a (relatively) looong chapter. It'll be broken up, with events at roughly hour intervals. :) Enjoy!

Ianto's POV

~

"Drive or train?" Jack asks.

I mumble a reply that I don't mind, but I get awful travel sickness, so I'm dreading that he will choose to drive.

"Ianto? You ok?" the back of Jack's hand presses against my forehead.

I gulp. But say nothing. I'll tough out the car journey.

"Either's fine, Jack. I'm not feeling too well, that's all." A small smile is automatically placed on my face and I see Jack relax.

"Ok, car it is. Then we can stop if you feel really ill." Jack's eyes are full of concern. He's got so much kinder since I have known him, after his blaming attitude up until John appeared. A deep blush rises to my cheeks as I think over our first date.

As long as it's not in an office. Some fetishes should be kept to themselves.

~

I love my suitcase. Sleek, black plastic, two wheels. None of that matte or four-wheeler rubbish.

Jack doesn't have a suitcase, he has a rather military looking (and knowing him, he probably kept it since then) holdall that is a dark grey to compliment his coat. Oh, I do love that coat.

We lug them up the ladder, the hardest part will be getting them down again when we return, and proceed in dragging them to the SUV. They nestle nicely in the boot, my suitcase lying on its back and Jack's slouched on top of it, spilling off the end to it looks like a paused slinkey. I suppose it represents our relationship rather well.

I get into the passenger side. I don't get as motion-sick if I'm driving, but I just wolfed down a travel sickness tablet when Jack wasn't looking, and it's made me sleepy.

Jack and I chat as the car goes along. It's a three-hour drive to London if we take the shortest route, so I turn on the CD player. 6 CDs, 3 are mine, 3 are Jack's. It's a strange mix when on shuffle, believe me. My head feels heavy.

"Have a nap, Ianto. I'm going to stop at the next service station so you can sleep until then." Jack's soothing voice envelopes me and I relax, sleep washing over my exhausted mind.

~Ianto's Nightmare~

"I love you, I..."

"Don't. Ianto. Ianto. Ianto, stay with me, Ianto, stay with me, please. Stay with me, stay with me, please, please."

"Hey, it was... Good, yeah?"

"Yeah."

"Don't forget me."

"Never could."

"In a thousand years' time, you won't remember me."

"Yes, I will. I promise, I will."

"Ianto. Ianto? Don't go, don't leave me, please. Please, don't."

~

I wake up crying and covered in sweat. WE are in the service station, Jack was about to wake me up.
