We were at Bobby's so he could tell us about a new case he wanted help with.

"I've been getting blasts from hunters all week," Bobby said, pulling out a map and a red marker. He drew a circle around an area on the map. "Nest of vamps. Werewolf dance party." He circled two more locations. "Shifters, six of them. Two hunters died taking them out. Ghouls, ghouls. Ghoul-wraith smorgasbord." He circled a few more locations, revealing a distinct pattern of the attacks.

"Is it just me, or is that a straight kick-line down I-80?" Dean asked.

Bobby nodded. "Exactly."

"Looks to me like it's a Sherman March Monster Mash," Dean said.

"Yeah, but where are they marching to?" Sam asked, and Bobby circled another location on the map. "What is it?"

"Guy bashes in his family's heads," Bobby said.

Dean stalled everyone for a half-hour, coming up with random reasons they couldn't leave to question the suspect. Bobby finally got pissed off.

"Will you come on?" Bobby snapped. "What else could you possibly need to do?"

"Uh, um..." Dean said nervously. "I've gotta..."

"Dean, stop. I know what this is," Sam said, shaking his head.

"What?" Dean asked, his hands outstretched defensively.

"You don't want to leave those two..." Sam pointed at Nate and me. "Alone." He smirked.

Dean shook his head. "What? No?"

I gave Dean a look. "You're kidding."

"What?" Dean raised his voice. "I'm not doing anything."

I glared at him.

Dean shrugged. "What?"

"All right, this is ridiculous." Bobby rolled his eyes and grabbed Dean, pushing him out the door. He turned to Sam. "You too. Let's go."

Sam nodded. "Yes, sir." Then he hurried out.

Bobby turned to Nate. "I can only protect you from him for so long. My suggestion... keep your pants on."

Nate nodded. "Ye– Yes, sir."

"Or better yet! Stay on opposite sides of the house!" Dean shouted.

Bobby sighed and rolled his eyes as he walked out the door.

Nate cleared his throat and asked, "So, um... movie?"

I shrugged. "Yeah, you pick."

After about an hour of watching Die Hard, I stretched and rested my head on Nate's lap so I could look up at him.

"Look, you're gonna miss it," Nate said, staring at the screen, completely engrossed in whatever was going on.

"Ugh, it's so boring." I groaned.

"Boring?" Nate snapped, finally looking down at me. "How is it boring?"

I shrugged. "It's just so unrealistic."

He started laughing. "It's awesome. And why would you care about how realistic it is? You like a movie about kid wizards that go to school together."
