Chapter 54

"Irine, why do you look so upset? Is everything all right?" Yumi asked her friend who suddenly jumped in front of her out of nowhere, making it easier for her since she was looking for her.

The thing is though, her friend was clearly looking flustered and startled and that couldn't help but worry Yumi instantly.

"Oh, nothing, I just fell into a trap. But it's all right, I'm fine." Irine replied as she put her hands on Yumi's shoulders and turned her around, walking in the opposite direction she had left Jimin which was the real reason for her agitation.

"You should be more careful, Irine. Since the worker said that there are many traps around. Were you too scared?" Yumi looked at her with concern for a moment, before she looked down at her feet realizing the fact that Irine had been dragged her along at a fast pace all of a sudden.

"Hold up, Irine. Why are you in such a rush? I'm going to fall somewhere if you keep this up" Yumi immediately complained not waiting for Irine to answer her first question.

"But, the time is ticking away. We must find clues for the treasure. Let's get out of here quickly." Irine told her before grabbing her hand again and starting to pull her through some trees and fake bushes that were around.

"Gosh! You're going to rip my arm off. Irine!" Yumi became indignant after a few minutes and simply pulled her hand out of her grip and gave her an irritated look.

"Let me ask you. Do you take me for a fool? You've been dragging me around for so long. Tell me what really upset you because there's no way a simple trap could have made you like this." Yumi crossed her arms over her chest as her eyes pleadingly demanded the truth from her friend, who let out a heavy breath before lowering her head in obvious stress.

Irine remained silent for a few moments and her expression managed to further alarm Yumi who approached her with a soft look of understanding.

"Even earlier on the photo shoot, you were kinda like this too. Who was that guy in the dressing room with you which who were hiding?" Yumi took the courage to ask though she wasn't sure if she had seen correctly because Irine had also quickly taken her out of the room but she couldn't keep it in any longer because she was worried.

Irine had been acting pretty weird after that point and although at first, Yumi had convinced herself that if it was something serious she would tell her, her mind had been doing a lot of thinking and creating bad scenarios that had only added to her worry.

Yumi had intended to ask her tomorrow when the two of them would be together but since things had come to this and she had faced her earlier than that, she couldn't help but to want to talk to her and now that she looked panicked again, she couldn't wait any longer.

"Did-did you see him?" Irine asked with furrowed brows as she thought that Yumi hadn't noticed Taehyung's existence in the dressing room.

"Some men's shoes caught my eye but I wasn't sure. Tell me, did something happen? You are stressing me out with this silence!" Yumi looked at her with her emotions evident and Irine couldn't help but feel bad that she had kept so many incidents from her so far.

"Okay, I'll tell you. " She told her and took a deep breath, starting to explain about the night Taehyung had gone to her house and told her that he liked her.

Taehyung smiled as he had three items now in his hands, having found one in each place he went to look.

He remembered most of the places where the clues were usually hidden from previous games and luckily the points he looked at hadn't changed and that made him happy.
