A Dying Flower
Haiku by Joyce Maniaga

A dying flower,

Even one drop of water,

Will bloom in silence.

From the author:

In my Haiku, I depict the poignant narrative of a withering flower, symbolizing the human spirit teetering on the brink of surrendering to life's challenges. However, a single droplet, akin to a guiding force, emerges to offer solace, encouragement, and the strength to blossom anew, embracing life's richness. I draw a parallel with my own experiences as a student grappling with overwhelming struggles. In moments of despair, when the dream feels distant, the Haiku envisions the arrival of someone or something to kindle motivation, awakening resilience and fortitude to persevere and savor the precious gift of life.
