Shadow and Rays of Grey
Haiku by Liana Paulene E. Bacani

Through Thee, the Youth of Mine,

Shadow Bounds of Memories,

Likeness in Rays of Grey.

From the author:

Crafting a Haiku serves as an expression of one's emotions tied to a specific moment, encapsulating actions and reflections. In my Haiku, I delve into memories that may be challenging to recall, carrying a sense of regret. Yet, these memories hold significance, shaping a substantial part of our lives and offering invaluable lessons, often discovered through self-realization. Symbolizing the color grey, I explore the belief that the sun's rays bring hope. However, this Haiku recognizes the reality that not every day is bright and positive, acknowledging the complexities of our experiences.
