Eyes that Gleam
Figurative poem by Acopio, Marion Joshua C.

The warmth of the sun greeted me,

Waking me from a crazy dream.

Everything feels so hazy,

and I recall those eyes that gleam.

From the author:

When the vibrant hues of your iris stand out distinctly against the pristine white backdrop of your eye, a captivating sparkle often emerges. This sparkle not only conveys a spectrum of emotions but also radiates a sense of excitement, vitality, and overall well-being. Additionally, this twinkle may signify that your eyes have been replenished with a fresh layer of tears, adding a touch of luminosity to their expressiveness.
