"Is she okay?" I ask Michelle the next morning, I had agreed to met her with West and Eldon. If I was going to get any answers, it would be from her "James I don't know how you've managed to mess up this badly again" Eldon said placing his head in his hands "Because I'm an idiot" I replied "But your Riley's idiot" Michelle replied offering me a simple smile. I wanted to take that as a token of good faith but I truly don't know.. "Did she say much last night?" West asked and Michelle shook her head "she came in, gave me a brief run down then sat outside till gone 2am before crying in the guest room" Michelle said and hit my hands into a fist "Where is she now?" I asked "I really don't know James, she left a note thanking me for letting her stay and then she was gone" She said, I wanted to be concerned but we all know Riley wouldn't just disappear without a plan
"What are you going to do?" West asked "I haven't got a clue" I replied sitting back on the sofa "Are you taking Emily's offer?" Eldon asked and I shook my head "no, I never was going to take it" I replied "Why didn't you just tell Riley then?" Michelle asked and I sighed, I really don't know. I know I should have "I thought you would have learnt after the Marie situation" West offered and I nodded "I thought I had too. I just didn't know what to say" I explained "Hey Ri, yeah your sister wants me to go touring with her new company, see you in 2 years?" I suggested "but you said you weren't taking it" Michelle said and I nodded "So you could have said, hey Riley. Emily wanted me to do this but I've decided that I'm not going to go but I thought you should know" Michelle explained... Michelle where were you like 2 weeks ago "I need to talk to her" I groaned "no man, you need to give her space. We all know for a fact she'll be in overdrive right now" West explained, he was right. Riley would be overthinking it all
"What are you working today?" Michelle asked and I shook my head "I'm not, I've taken the weekend off to try and sort this" I replied, Michelle offered my the small smile again "She's okay at least" West said offering me some hope "How do we know that though?" I asked "nobody has a clue where she is anymore" I replied slightly panicked "Well if her Instagram is ever a hint. She is at her childhood home looking through old photos" West said showing me an Instagram. Of course she is there, she'll always turn to her dad in any dark time

I would do anything right now to just run over to Riley and hug her. I know full well that she is hurting and it is killing me knowing that once again. I'm the reason for those tears "That's a positive though right?" Eldon said making me look over at him "most of those photo's are you and Riley" He smiled, he was write Riley loved documenting everything It's one of the many things I love about her "I know how to fix this!" I smiled widely "Michelle I'm going to need your help" I said taking out my phone to make a list of what I needed to do.
Riley's POV
"Hey Peanut" Dad said smiling coming into my old bedroom, I smiled over at him taking my eyes off of the wall of photos "Your mum told me what's happened. Emily didn't tell you about it at all?" He asked and I shook my head During all of this, I couldn't help but feel a little betrayed by Emily too. Why would she keep this from me and also expect James to? But at the same time I'm pretty sure Em would have expected James to talk to me about it "What are you feeling?" He asked placing his hand on mine I looked up at him with tears threatening to fall "I don't want him to go Dad" I cried, Dad sighed pulling me into a tight hug
"But at the same time, I know he needs to" I said trying to calm myself, I looked up at him and he had his usual proud smile on his face "He let me go so that I would go to New York. He didn't want to hold me back and I can't do the same thing to him" I replied "Peanut, I know you well enough to know that you'll make the right choice but you also have to remember. James is a different person then he was all those years ago. He's built a life here while you were gone. There might be more then just you keeping him here" he confessed I had been so selfish I didn't even think about that "He loves you with his whole heart, that I know. I don't like the boys choice in communication skills but I know that no matter what. At the end of the day, you're in safe hands with him and that is all I care about" Dad said smiling wrapping his arms around me again making me smile "What would I do without you" I asked "Well you wouldn't have gotten your good looks now would you" He said teasing, I rolled my eyes "You've got this baby girl, I believe in you" He whispered one more time hugging me, he kissed the top of my head as we hugged I've got this. Dad is right
