It's been a couple weeks and not a peep from Lucas. Let's hope it stays that way or I'll have to bring out my next weapon "Pipe what's wrong?" I asked walking into Riley's Corner to see her on the bench crying "I was talking to Richelle, she's the competition I have next week and she sat there telling me every single thing that was wrong with me! I should have known I wasn't good enough" She cried, I wanted to just hug her and baby her but I knew that if she wanted to make it as a soloist she needed a thick skin "Piper, look at me" I ordered making her look at me "You need to learn to ignore what other people say, they say it because they are threatened by you" I explained and she shook her head bowing her head again "Dance" I replied grabbing the remote to play her song "What?" She asked "dance" I replied I didn't want to do this, but when Emily did this to me even if it was fake. It made my confidence grow.. Grow enough to audition again for International soloist
Piper began to dance and it was beautiful but we aren't here to play nice "You call that a turn Piper? Do we need to being you back to Baby Ballet?" I yelled causing Piper to stumble, she stopped and looked at me "Why are you stopping?" I asked making her look at me "What are you doing" she asked looking like she was on the verge or tears and I was only just beginning "Listen, Piper you know I love you. So It'll hurt more me saying this then someone who you know dislikes you. If you can get passed me saying it to you then you'll smash this audition. Now again" I said playing the music from the beginning
James' POV
I was sat in the green room laughing with the boys when Finn came storming in, I looked at him a little taken back. I've never seen him so angry "Your girlfriend is fucking crazy!" He yelled making all the boys look at him "What?" I asked "Riley! She's fucking lost it!" He yelled "Firstly, watch your tone" I said rising to my feet "What is going on" I asked "She is rehearsing with Piper. I walk in to check on her after she had a rough time with Richelle and Riley is in there yelling at her for how she is dancing!" Finn exclaimed. Now that doesn't sound like Riley at all I look at his in disbelief before we both head to The Next Step
"Piper! If we wanted wobbly legs I'd ask one of my Mini's to go to Nationals!" I heard Riley yell making me take a step back, I looked back at Finn who was giving me a look "Are you going to stumble like this on the National Stage Piper?! Are you going to cost us our title?" Riley yelled and that is when it clicked I know exactly what she was doing "Why are you smiling" Finn whisper yelled at me "I know what she is doing" I replied "Turn turn turn!" Riley yelled "Come on Piper, what was that" she continued "And Again!" Riley yelled once more playing the song over But this time, Riley didn't say a word. I knew that she had accomplished what she needed so I allow Finn and I to enter the room Riley shot us a smile while Finn still had a glare on his face
After a little while the song ended and Piper came to a finish before smiling widely before jumping around finally ending up in Riley's arms who was laughing along with Pipes "What are we all smiling about!" I heard Finn yell, I rolled my eyes "What's up your butt" Piper asked "Oh I don't know, how about the fact I walk in to see Riley yelling at you!" Finn asked "Finn listen" Riley started "I wasn't doing it because it's actually what I thought" Riley explained "What?" Finn asked "When Riley auditioned for National Soloist, during her Audition Emily did nothing but point out her flaws. Although it made Ri feel like crap" I started "It helped me grow as a dancer because if someone I love told me that then someone who doesn't like me saying it, it wouldn't phase me" Riley continued "When Richelle went in hard on me, It hurt a tone but now I know if she was to do it. I couldn't care" Piper smiled joining her boyfriend at the side for a hug as I went over to Riley "It's a great thing to learn as soon as you can. You just need to find the right person to teach you" I explained "Riley was my person" Piper smiled I honestly love the pair of them, they are already like sisters "I don't think anyone could make up the stuff that goes on in this place" Finn laughed and I had to agree with him on that
It was late Friday night and I was at my place trying to figure out if anyone is free to make plans but so far no luck I slumped further into my sofa and began to scroll through Instagram before seeing a post from Riley.
