Chapter 11. Decisions

I tried to make school the next day as least awkward as possible. I had normal conversation with people I wouldn't call my friends, but not exactly my enemy's. Everything was going great until I saw Michael in math class. I smiled at him. He didn't return it. He said something about me talking to me after class. Then Maths started. I was utterly bored the entire time. The teacher called on me before once or twice. I wasn't paying attention so after he called on another hopeless student. Classed ended and I was already tempted to ditch school. I had alot on my mind, plus I forgot to take my pills this morning. It was totally my fault, but it sucks being at school with anxiety attacks. My decision was final. I would cut class and walk home. We weren't doing anything important anyway. I headed to my locker before the beginning of second period.  I heard a voice from down the hallway.

"Hey!" It said.

I turned to see a confused Michael jogging  towards my locker.

"What are you doing?" He said looking at me stuffing my books and binder in my bag.

"Leaving" I said closing my locker.

"Oh okay well let me drive you" Michael said.

I looked at him, bringing my eyebrows inward.

"I don't want you to miss class" I said smiling lightly punching his arm.

"Don't worry, I have an off period" Michael said, walking us outside.

We walked to his car. Then we got in.

I told him my address.

"I wanted it first, my off period I mean" Michael said turning on the car.

"You are so weird" I laughed.

"So I heard you and Luke hung out yesterday" Michael said.

"Ya it was pretty fun, why?" I said.

"Look, I love Luke like a brother. We're really close and he's never really liked a girl before. I mean he's had girlfriends before but he's never really connected with them. He hasn't had a girlfriend in 4 years. 8th grade, Alex. " Michael paused.  "Look all I'm trying to get across is that he likes you, even if he hasn't know you for long. Just if you don't like him let him down easy. Your a really sweet girl, and you deserve anything and everything.  I hope you feel better. You really, really, deserve it. You deserve to be extremely happy. No matter your feelings, also I don't want to rush you. Take how ever long you need, Luke can wait"

My brain didn't know which direction to go in. Before I knew I was speaking words were coming out of my mouth.

"My last boyfriend died" I said frowning.

"Are you serious. " Michael said.

I was almost crying,  so I just nodded.

By then we were at my house, so he just pulled me into a hug.

"Alex...I'm so sorry...I'm a jerk" Michael said.

"It's okay you didn't know..." I said pulling away. I opened the car door and got out. My mind was spinning. Zach. I really need so chocolate.  I walked into the house, my Aunt wasn't there. Why was the door open? Whatever. I headed into the kitchen and looked through the cupboards. I opened the top cabinet and finally found what I was looking for. Dark chocolate with orange tang inside. I went into the living room and turned on the t.v.  I checked my phone.  I had two texts from Ashton.

From Ashton: Hey

From Ashton: I coming over.

I can't ever be alone. He doesn't know we're I live so he couldn't ever mange to get here. I just turned off my phone hoping my worries would go away.  About 10 minutes later I heard my door open. 

"Hey" a voice said.

That voice belonged to Ashton.

"How the fuck did you manage to find my house Ashton" I said questioningly.

"Don't ask" he said with wide eyes sitting down next to me.

"How have you been" he asked.

"Confused" I said waving the chocolate, "want some?"

"Yes please" Ashton said taking a piece.

I put my head on his shoulder.

"Why does life have to suck" I asked him.

"Depends on perception" Ashton said.

"I guess, hey why are you here anyway" I said.

"Well Michael said you were having a ruff day and I was already planning on skipped school" Ashton said.

"Why do you guys always talk about me" I said, I really wanted to know. 

"Well your worth talking about" Ashton said well pulling me closer. Maybe this is just what I needed to take my mind of of things.

I had fallen asleep, basically on Ashton.  The woke up in my bed. I saw a note from Ashton sitting on my desk.

"Hey you fell asleep,  I hope I didn't wake you up when transferring you upstairs. You are a really hard sleeper by the way, hope to see you at school tomorrow.  Feel better, don't think to hard and drink water.

-Ashton"

I smiled as I heard the door open. 

"Alex?" My Aunt called.

"Coming" I said running down the stairs.

"Did you skip school" she said.

"I felt sick, I also I forgot to take my pills totally my fault but I just couldn't today" I said.

"Well in that case okay... don't forget to call me if you do...we understand school can be hard but it's something you need to do okay?" My Aunt Jennifer said.

"Okay..." I said smiling "I'm hungry"

My Aunt laughed.

"Why don't we go out, just you and me girls night" my Aunt said.

"Okay sounds like a plan" I said, for once I wasn't thinking about everything.
