The first thing Kookie noticed when he woke up, was a strange coldness in his arm. He slowly opened his eyes to see Taehyung sitting on the bed and applying some ointment to his wounds that were not covered in bandages. He didn't say anything and just looked at the beautiful face the man infront of him.
Taehyung must have felt his stare cause he suddenly looked up and Kookie was not fast enough to avert or close his eyes. Taehyung blushed slightly at the intense stare of the other.
"O-oh.. I'm sorry if I woke you up. The doctor said to apply this every six hourly for the open wounds." Taehyung said in a soft voice, showing the ointment tube to the other.
"S-six hourly?" Jungkook looked at the clock and noticed that it was around 8.00am in the morning. That means Taehyung must have applied this at 2.00 am.
"Don't worry about it. I anyway sleep really late." Taehyung said with a light smile as he could guess what the other was thinking.
"Thank you for helping me like this, you really didn't have to. I'm nothing but a stranger. I don't even know my own name." Jungkook said in a sad voice and Taehyung gave a smile in return.
"Don't worry about it, Kookie. I'm sure anyone would have done the same thing. As for your memory, well the doctor said it's probably temporary right. It'll be ok in few days." Taehyung answered as he got up from the bed.
"Would you.. uhh... like me to help you to the bathroom?" Taehyung asked in a tentative voice and Kookie gave a nod to that.
Taehyung helped the wounded man get up from the bed and walked him towards the bathroom. He had one of Kookie's hands over his shoulder to support his weight and his own hand was tightly woven around Kookie's waist.
There bodies were flushed together from the side and Taehyung could practically feel the heat emitting from the man. He knows this is not what he should be focusing on now as he's helping a wounded man but Taehyung couldn't help let his mind wonder. And he definitely couldn't help the blush that was creeping in to his face.
"You won't be able to take a bath now with all the bandages so just wash your face. I'll wait outside for you. Just call me when you are done, ok?"
Taehyung closed the door to give the man some privacy and started to fix the bed. He needs to control himself more. Poor man has lost his memory and must be feeling terrible being in a unknown place like this. The last thing Taehyung wanted was to make him more uncomfortable
Kookie on the other hand, was close to having a panic attack. He definitely liked the closeness he shared with Taehyung just a moments ago. He liked it way too much. He felt angry with himself as he knows he shouldn't misuse the kindness and goodwill these strangers are showing him.
Kookie washed his face with cold water to calm his heart and decided to ignore the weird signals his heart was giving him. He should try to get his memory back and get out these people's life without being a burden.
But all those thoughts went out of the window when opened the bathroom door and his eyes fell upon the beautiful man who were walking towards him. Yep, he falling. Falling too damn fast.
Taehyung had just finished helping him change his cloths, when another man walked in with the breakfast tray. Luckily for him, Kookie only have injuries on his upper body so he need support to change his shirt only. He would be so mortified if he had to have help with changing his shorts.
The new man was tall, with very broad shoulders and gave a gentle vibe.
"Hello, sorry I couldn't come yesterday. I'm Kim SeokJin, Namjoon's husband. You can call me Jin." He gave the tray to Taehyung and extended his hand for Kookie to shake.
"I'm glad to meet you, Mr Jin. Sorry to have intruded on your home and bothering like this." Kookie shook his hand with a polite bow.
"This is not my house, just Taehyung's. So it's him that you're bothering." Jin said with a mischievous smile on his face and Taehyung immediately protested to that.
"Hyung!! Don't joke about things like that. He will think you're serious." Taehyung said with a groan. His brother-in-law is way too much playful for his age.
"Sorry, I'm kidding of course." Jin gave a soft smile to Kookie and the younger couldn't help but return it. If was very clear that Jin didn't mean that. "You are definitely not a bother. Now eat your breakfast before it gets cold."
Jin went out after giving another smile and Taehyung shook his head.
"Don't mind him ok. Sometimes he's such a kid." Taehyung said with a sigh and Kookie laughed a bit at that. Jin seems like a fun person.
Taehyung brought the breakfast tray and set is on the bed. He held a spoon in his hand and looked at the man one bed with a questioning look.
"I-I c-can eat." Kookie quickly took the spoon from Taehyung's hand and tried to eat.
But his back and shoulder were injured so every time he lifted the spoon to his mouth, a sharp pain ran through his torso. Although Kookie tried to ignore it and didn't let any sound, his face must have shown the response to the pain, cause Taehyung stopped his hand mid air after few bites.
"Here, l-let me help." Taehyung gently removed the spoon from Kookie's hand and started to feed him
Kookie felt the heat rushing to his face as he let the man feed him. He was so focused on not looking at Taehyung for more than the absolute necessity and he didn't realise that he was swallowing pretty fast.
"Hey, eat slowly." Taehyung said with a small laugh. "Or else you'll choke."
Kookie suddenly felt a severe pain in his head. He grabbed his head from both sides with his hands and let out a muffled whimper.
"Hey!! Are you ok? What's wrong??" Kookie could barely hear the concerned voice of Taehyung as another voice rang through his head.
This voice was kind of on a higher pitch, with a sweet melodic tone and felt very familiar to Kookie.
'Slow down when you are eating, Kookie. Or else you'll choke.'
