Court lady Noh and Jo yeong finished their investigation. After discussing with King, they decide to dismiss the current Captain and Sub Captain and their followers. Also, they decide to hire new Royal guards to fill in. But there is a risk, firing Captain of the royal guard will bring chaos to palace security. So they decide to do every change in slow but within a short time. So it won't bring them more problems.
As the first step, Jo Yeong joined the Royal Guard as a military attaché as they decide. and work as a normal royal guard until his time comes.
When Yeong's first day in work everyone surprise to find him in his Naval uniform at their captain's office. Other than Captain Ahn, no one knows about Lieutenant Jo joining Royal guards.
"Captain Ahn, LTFG Jo Yeong reporting for duty." Yeong introduces himself to others giving his hand to handshake.
"Welcome to the Royal Guard, LTFG Jo." The captain said shaking his hand. Their greeting becomes awkward. Because Lieutenant Jo holds a higher position than Captain Ahn in the military.
Sub captain Park In-young nudges Ho-pil without moving her eyes from scenes before her.
"Captain Ahn is Second Lieutenant rank in the army. but LTFG Jo's Rank is higher than his." Ho-pil explained quietly to Sub-captain Park.
"oh, then that's why Captain looks pissed. Because LTFG Jo didn't have to salute him. But he has to." In- young mutters understanding the current situation.
"yep." Ho-pil chirp beside him.
"So LTFG Jo, what brings you into Royal guard?" Captain Ahn questioned walking toward his desk with Yeong.
"Nothing special. This was my dream job when I was young." Jo Yeong replied smiling ear to ear.
"I see." Captain chuckles awkwardly turning toward other guards.
"Lieutenant Jo Yeong is here to join us as a military attaché. Let me introduce you to my team." Captain Ahn named each of his sub captains, and LTFG Jo shook their hands one after another.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all. This is my first time serving in protective detail of this magnitude. I'll have to rely on all of your help until I get my bearings. Please be patient with me." Yeong said to everyone in a large room. Of course, everyone agreed happily. They are excited to work with the famous Jo Yeong, who is best friends with their King. Little did they know, this is the beginning of a new era in Royal guards.

After meeting every chief in Royal guard divisions, Yeong heads toward their office. Captain Ahn tagged Sub-captain Park as his mentor. She gave him week schedule full with upcoming tests to check his abilities. He looks through his schedule checking it.
"LTFG Jo, today you don't have any schedule. So you can leave early. Tomorrow morning you will have your first test. Ho-pil will guide you. So, report before 0700." In-Young said to yeong.
"Okay, Sub-captain. I will go then. See you tomorrow."
Yeong leaves office taking his things. He heads to meet Court Lady Noh.
He found Lady Noh in her study with Secretary Mo.
"Yeongah. I was talking about you." Lady Noh said as soon as she saw yeong getting into the room.
"Mamaniem, can I talk with you privately?" yeong asks.
"yes yes, we can. How was your first day as a royal guard?" Lady Noh dismissed Secretary Noh and signal to yeong sit beside her.
"It's good. Today I don't have any schedules. So I was dismissed." Yeong replied sitting on the cushion before lady Noh.
"Oh, that's good. So what you have to talk with me?" she asks.
"Mamaniem, I know you are planning to recommend me as the Captain. But before that, I have a request." Yeong said getting his schedule paper out from his pocket.
"I got my weekly schedule. From tomorrow I will face some test. But I think it isn't enough. Mamaniem, I want to participate that special training. I want to fully prepare to become Captain." Yeong said.
"special training? You already got more than enough training in military yeongah." Lady Noh replied frowning.
"I know mamaniem. And I am more than capable of physical training. What I mean was I want to improve my senses and capacity. I want to be fully capable to secure king. "
"Yeongah, you don't have to go through that much training. and If King gets to know about this, I don't know what will happen." lady Noh said.
"Mamaniem, I know pyeha won't like it. so don't tell him. this is my decision. so I will responsible for it. please can you prepare it? it's better to do everything quickly." yeong said a pleading voice.
"Okay, okay. I will prepare everything. come tomorrow after work. you can sign papers tomorrow. but yeongah please think again. this isn't simple training." lady Noh said holding Yeong's hands.
"I came here after a lot of thinking. I won't change my decision. Thank you mamaniem. I will go then. " yeong stand to leave the room.
"hmm, you boys are same. huh! yeongah before you go, meet pyeha. he is in his study. he told me to tell you to come to meet him" lady Noh said scoffing.

"LTFG Jo!" captain Ahn greet him at outside the king's study when yeong went to meet King.
"oh, Captain. Is Pyeha busy?" yeong asks.
"No. his schedule is free now. should I inform pyeh-"
"No. don't bother. I will inform myself." yeong cut off the captain and knock the door.
"Come in" they heard king's voice. hearing that yeong open the door and gets in.
"Yeongah!" captain Ahn heard King's cheerful voice when door closing behind him.
"Pyeha! you have to control yourself more. now I am working as your guard." yeong glared cheery king.
"That's why I told you not to join," King replied a mocking voice. Getting death glare from younger.
"Okay okay." Lee Gon stops joking around.
"so how was your day ?" Lee gon asks.
"Good." younger muttered sitting at the couch.
"So, are you here because you missed me ?" Lee gon asks wiggling his eyebrows.
"Nope. I was told to meet you pyeha." yeong scoff.
"Oh, that!" Lee gon walks toward younger and pulls him to leave the room.
"pyeha, where are we going? And I can walk by myself." yeong muttered realising his hand from older's hold.
"Come with me. I am going to prepare something for you." lee gon said excitedly walking toward palace kitchen.
Lee gon and Yeong entered kitchen dismissing kitchen staff. and Older start to arrange everything to make Yeong's favourite dish he makes.
"Pyeha, what are you making? What's the occasion?" yeong ask sitting on kitchen stool looking at older.
"Today is your first day as Royal guard. so I making your favourite dish." King muttered cutting meat into pieces.
"This is the first time I ever heard King making meals to his guard on the first day" younger muttered jokingly.
"Yah! You know why I am doing this !" lee gon said giving younger to death glare.
"I know Hyung." yeong said with a little smile.
after some time, Lee Gon finished preparing foods and arrange it on the table. Yeong gets a wine bottle from older's favourite collection and fills two glasses.
"I am glad one of us can cook." younger said showing spoonful food into his mouth.
"yep. so don't afraid to tell me if you want to eat my cooking anytime." Gon said putting some side dishes on younger's bowl.
"Thank you, Hyung," Younger muttered smiling.
"I am happy because now I can have you beside me every day," King said with smiling.
