Information: The children are all vampires with Mama and Sister Krone as their guardians and vampires and humans can't have any romantic relations with each other. Vampires age, but stop at around twenty (20).
3rd Person's POV
"Come on, Ray! It's so fun to fly with the moonlight on your wings!" Emma urged but the boy kept reading his book while hanging upside down a branch.
"No thanks, I'm good here," he flatly replied.
Emma pouted but she continued to play with her other siblings. Norman flew to his brother and sat on the branch.
"Some exercise will do you good Ray. Besides, you can practice shape-shifting with us," Norman smiled but Ray wouldn't give in.
"Maybe some other time," Norman could only sigh as he went back to playing with Emma and the others.
Ray continued to read his book until a car loudly stopped in front of their mansion.
"I told you to slow down! We're not late for the party," the adults argued as they took out a neatly wrapped box out of the trunk.
'Visitors?' he thought as he shape-shifted into a bat to get a closer look.
He looked inside the car and saw a sleeping child around the age as him inside holding a/n (F/A) toy.
"Hmm..." they squirmed in their sleep and sat up. They looked around and their eyes met with Ray's.
"Cute bat~" they groggily said as they reached out their hand to the window.
Ray blushed at the gesture and accidentally transformed back into a boy. He quickly ducked and looked around.
There were cars driving around and he couldn't transform back into a bat.
"Are you okay?" the child asked as they rolled down the window.
"Y-Yeah... I'm fine... I just need to calm down..." Ray covered his face with his bangs as the child looked at him curiously.
"Well, if you want, you can have my (F/A)," they smiled as they gave me the toy,
"It always helps me to calm down," Ray looked down at the toy and gave it a soft squeeze.
"Thanks... I guess..." he muttered as the child grinned.
"(Y/N)! Are you up? There's (F/F)!"
"I'm coming!" the child looked back at Ray and patted his head.
"Keep 'em safe for me, okay?"
(Y/N)'s POV
I woke up and hear my alarm blaring. I groaned as I slowly got up.
"That was... weird a dream..." I muttered as I recalled the events.
Why is this coming back now after all these years?'
"That's weird..." (F/N) commented as we watched (F/S) on the couch,
"Is it because we watched "Twilight" the other day?"
"Maybe... But it's still kind of weird that it came back after years,"
"True... Maybe you miss him?"
"Or I miss the food there,"
"Yeah... Maybe we should visit again,"
"I didn't mean right away, (Y/N)," (F/N) clarified as I took a spoonful of (F/F).
"There's no time like the present. Besides, it's half an hour's drive and we don't have classes tomorrow," I shrugged as I looked outside.
The dark mansion still loomed over the whole neighborhood just like I remembered.
"Oh no, don't," (F/N) warned, knowing what I was thinking.
"Maybe it's not haunted?"
"I'm not going to let you become a protagonist in a horror movie,"
"(Y/N)... You can't be serious..." (F/N) whispered as they pulled on my arm.
"It's fine! It's not like we're going to go inside," I insisted as I pulled (F/N) along with me.
"D-Don't you think it was just a normal dream? Maybe you were just really sleepy and made it all up and doing this for nothing?" (F/N) gripped on my arm as they tried to pull me away.
"Well, then let's just greet the neighbors!" I rang the doorbell despite (F/N)'s resistance.
Seconds later, a dark woman with black curly hair opened the door.
"May I help you?" she raised a brow as she looked down at us.
"Hello!" I cheerfully greeted,
"I'm (Y/N), and this is (F/N)!" I pulled (F/N) closer as they waved meekly at the woman.
"We were just visiting and we wanted to meet some of the neighbors!"
"I'm sorry, but the family is out right now and I'm just a helper," she apologized,
"Ah, too bad. Maybe next time," I waved goodbye as she closed the door.
"I told you, it's not that bad-"
"-What are you doing at our house?"
"AAAHHH!" (F/N) gripped onto my arm as they hid behind me.
The boy looked at them curiously as they looked at me.
"S-Sorry, we were just going around the neighborhood..." I explained.
I noticed he had the same hairstyle and eyes as the boy in my dream. His eyes widened and leaned closer to me.
"U-Umm..." I mumbled, a bit uncomfortable with having a boy examining my face. He put his hand in his pocket and took out a worn-out (F/A) toy.
"M-My-"
"-(Y/N), was it?" he asked as he gave me back the toy.
"So... you were the boy from all those years ago?" he nodded in response.
"It took you long enough to visit..." he grumbled. I blushed in embarrassment as I looked down at the toy.
"Well, it looks like I'm not needed here," (F/N) commented as they let go of my arm.
'I'll be in the house while you two catch up,' they whispered as they left.
"U-Um... I just wanted to make sure-"
"-Ray! Where are you?" a girl shouted.
The boy quickly grabbed my wrist and I felt a strong gust of wind against me.
I opened my eyes and I saw that he was holding onto me and we were standing on top of the roof.
"How did you-"
"-Shh!" he looked back and I saw a girl with curly orange hair and a boy with short white hair looking around.
"Geez... Why did he run off?" the girl muttered as the boy sighed.
"Just let him go, maybe he finally found that mortal he's been talking about," the boy suggested, making us blush.
They went back inside the mansion and we sighed in relief.
"So your name is Ray?" I muttered as we slowly descended back to the ground and let go of me.
"Yeah... Are you... afraid?" he asked as he played with his hair. I smiled at his behavior and patted his head.
"Nope. I wasn't afraid before, I'm not afraid now. But is it okay for us to be talking with each other?"
"Not really. Mortals and vampires shouldn't even know each other," he looked at me hesitantly, waiting for a reaction.
I grinned mischievously as I looked back at the mansion.
"Well then, we better make sure nobody finds out because I've finally met you again and I'm not going to let you go," I smiled at him as he looked away with a red face.
