Xyder Zephyr - POV;
"A free table? Yes, I can get a table for all.... fourteen... of you," the petite waitress girl said as she looked at the already packed store in dismay.
"Um-" I began.
"I-I-I-I'm very sorry Master Zephyr, I'll do my best to find you a space," she squealed, trembling as she scurried off.
"Ooooooookay, then," I muttered.
"Woah, you scared the panties off of her. Did you try to attack her at night or something... Oh, you must have made her call you Master while doing all kinds of sleazy and lewd-"
"Evelynn, please. You're traumatising Cheryl," I cut off my sister and pointed to the clearly distraught girl.
"Y-yeah, those jokes aren't funny!" Cheryl chimed in.
"Ooh, double teamed by everyone's favourite couple," Evie shivered, "You two are into quite the kinky-"
"Whack!"
"Oww!" Evie moaned as she crouched in the corner, holding her head after having been... made to desist by my hand chop to the noggin.
"I-I-I-I-I-I-I'm terribly sorry but we don't have any open spots," the waitress practically whispered.
"Huh? What was that?" I questioned.
"Kyah! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" she shrieked, haunching over and trembling violently.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhh," was all that could eacape my lips as I viewed the bizarre scene.
"Come on! Get out! Get out!" the manager shouted at patrons to the back of the establishment.
"But we're not finished," they protested.
"Out! We need space for our guests!" he screamed.
"Wait, that's really not necessary!" I called out.
"Oh, Master Xyder!" the manager rushed over, suddenly a thousand times more polite while security practically flung some of the patrons out the rear entrance, "Please, come this way. We have more than our fair share of accomodation for you. Can we just have one minute to clean the tables for you?"
"Sure," I answered, more than a bit confused.
"That was... weird," Storm remarked.
"Thanks for the newsflash, Captain Obvious," Sorine sighed.
"Okay, but seriously, what's going on here?" I inquired from my friends.
"It's quite clear, is it not?" a woman said as she entered the restaurant behind us.
"Aurora?!" Evie and I cried out.
"Hello, Xyder," she smiled.
****
"Look around at the people in here," Aurora instructed once all fifteen of us were sat around our table. I allowed my eyes to wander, immediately noticing that the entire room seemed to be occasionally glancing at us. They were quick to pull away and shudder when our eyes met however.
"They're nervous... afraid. You must have noticed it all over the Fenix City for the last week," she added.
"Now that I think about it, people have been acting sort of strange," Evie pondered aloud.
"But, afraid? Of us?" I looked to Aurora.
"Yes," my adoptive sister answered, "You all put on quite the show in your battle against Blaze. Your power was bountiful... and terrifying. The world saw you show no remorse and word travels quickly. Add onto that the fact that Zephyr has catalysed the eradication of all semblence of status or power held by Blaze and the story being spun is an intriguing one. As it goes, Xyder Zephyr is a brutal and unforgiving demon who, having been merely in disapproval of a peoples, single handedly ensured the elimination of the entirety of the Blaze Clan from public and legal affairs. If he could do this to one of the elemental clans, imagine what he could do to anyone else who dares displease him. Imagine what he can do to them when he finally becomes Regulus himself."
"..............Huh?!" I exclaimed.
"We're so sorry, Master!"
"We apologise for your order taking so long!"
"We will be sure to have whoever is causing this fired!"
Three waiters appeared abruptly, foreheads sweating and breaths raspy as soon as I shouted.
"N-no! It's fine really! Our order was only put in fove minutes ago," I assured them.
"Thank you for your leniency, Master Zephyr!"
"You are truly magnanimous!"
The three hurried off into the kitchen, probably to hasten our order.
"It looks like the story has really gotten out of control. Xyder has become the tyrannical leader ruling all in fear," Winter noted.
"Um, Winter," Alva spoke up.
"Yes?"
"I understand that you and Storm have grown closer and all that, but is it really necessary for you to be sitting on his lap in public?" Alva asked.
"I didn't have a choice. Aurora joined out of nowhere," Winter defended herself.
"Right... I'm sure that's why," Alva sighed, "And you too Xyder. Do you really need to be in that position?"
She had been referring to the fact that I had been seated at the middle of the table with Aurora and Evelynn on either side. Both had pulled their chairs close to mine and Aurora leaned herself against my left while Evelynn hugged my arm tightly on the right. I swore that I could hear the occasional growl and hiss from Evelynn being aimed towards Aurora as well. Cheryl looked on from the end of the table, biting her nails in frustration as this went on.
"There are some things I've just come to accept Aunty Alva. You just don't fight these losing battles," I told her.
"Right... What happened while I was gone?" she groaned laying her head on the table, "Everyone is going to look at me like the bad one when you all return as a bunch of delinquents since I'm the adult here."
"Y-your orders, Master Zephyr!" the workers announced as they brought trays upon trays of items to us.
"Is it to your liking?! Should we change anything?!" the waitress girl asked, clearly anxious.
"No, it's... it's great. Really," I told her.
"Thank you. You are benevolent, Master Xyder," she bowed and hurried away.
I banged my head on the desk and murmered, "This is going to get so annoying."
"Is something the matter, Master Zephyr?!" one of the men rushed to us immediately, much to my continued dismay.
Aurora took charge and, with a frightening expression, she instructed, "Leave."
I've never seen someone go as pale as that waiter did as he sped away.
"Well, we can't exactly blame them for exaggerating. Xyder was quite the rough, selfish brute on that field. We were being beaten by Blaze and then, without warning, Xyder filled all four of us girls up with his strength and then poured his warmth into all of us at once. I couldn't believe he'd go so far, even with his own sister," Evie swooned.
"Oi," was all I could say in a monotone.
"Oh my God, Cheryl is turning into a dried husk! Her soul is leaving! Stay with us!" Disas squeaked, shaking the girl whose empty eyes displayed her horror at Evelynn's statement.
"You're truly a disgrace to sisters everywhere, you know," Aurora shook her head.
"What? What do you mean by that?!" Evie growled, having been riled up by Aurora's statement.
"To be implying such vulgar things about your younger brother when we all know that what he really did was protect and heal all of you. Really your entire existence is like that of a common prostitute. It seems those absurdly bouncy breasts of yours have sucked everything away from your brain. Now your mind automatically jumps to sex at every chance it can get. You're a shame to sisters everywhere," Aurora continued.
"And who are you exactly to tell me about how good of a sister I am?" Evie hissed.
Aurora reached out and pulled me closer to her. As she laid me against her, she looked at Evelynn and smiled, "I'm Xyder's best older sister."
Evelynn's face grew blank and darkness seemed to wash over it. Abruptly, she shot up, grabbing the fork on her plate as she did.
"Evelynn!"
Satella, Disas, Alva, Rydia and Jacqueline all pounced on her at once and struggled to hold her back as she glared at Aurora using bloodthirsty eyes.
"Oh ho ho ho ho ho," Aurora laughed mockingly as she hugged me closely. She was cleary too pleased and enjoying herself too much in this situation.
"Ugh... why do I surround myself with nutty whack jobs?" I moaned.
