Maggie~~~~~~~~
Mom is acting so weird lately. What's going on? I sigh. Today I have decided to take a break from studying and do something I love but haven't done it far to long. Write. I flick open my laptop and sit against a tree. I begin to type out a plot line, characters, and just ideas. Someone sits next to me, I assume it's Kenzie.
I turn to see Lucas.
"Oh hey," I smile.
"Hey," he grins.
"What are you doing here?" I ask.
"I was just walking home from work and saw you, thought I'd stop by, is that okay?" He asks, flashing his adorable smile.
"Hey that's okay, I mean it's a public tree," I laugh.
He laughs too, "whatcha writing?"
"A book," I say, sheepishly.
"A book?" He asks intrigued.
"Yeah," I nod.
"Are you like an author?" He asks.
"Yeah well kinda, I mean my mom is a journalist and my dad- well my Jess- is a published author so I guess it's just kinda who I am," I say.
"That's neat, so what's the book about?" He smiles.
"Um well it's about a girl and her just life in a town experiences and I don't know just life I guess," I shrug.
"May I read it?" He asks, grinning.
"Um, I've never let anyone besides Kenzie even read through it. I mean my mom has edited it and Jess has seen it but..." I hesitate.
He flashes his warm eyes at me.
"Okay, only till chapter... four okay?" I say.
"Okay deal," he smiles.
I hand him my laptop.
