Chapter Nineteen: Friday Night

I am flipping through a manuscript someone had dropped off earlier. The bell chimes alerting me that someone has entered.  I turn around to see none other than Logan. I'm caught off guard for a moment then snap into Rory mode.

"Logan," I say.

"Jess," he replies.

"So um, can I help you with you?" I ask, raising my eyebrows slightly.

"Um no actually. I just want to talk and to say somethings," Logan says shrugging his shoulders.

"Alright," I say, crossing my arms.

"I know the girls are mine. And I think it's great and I'm thankful that you helped raised them. And that you were their for Rory but they are mine. Mine and Rory's. And I just wanted you to know that now that I know about them I plan to be in their lives and I plan to be a father. So yes I am thankful for your help in raising them but they are mine and Rory's so-" Logan began.

My blood boils. His? His? Who does this pompous privileged jerk think he-

"LOGAN! Stop it! What do you think you are doing! First off you are wrong the girls are just as much Jess's as mine. He raised them taught them to ride a bike, to drive, he took care of them when they were sick. And he helped/helps them study. He sat through the 3rd grade fashion shows and comforted Kenzie and Maggie when Dumbledore, Sirius, and Dobby died! He has rocked them from nightmares and kissed their sleepy foreheads in the morning as he pours coffee! Now I do not appreciate you coming in here and attacking my fiancé like this! Okay! Jess is the best man I could ask for!" Rory says, marching in through my doors and holding my hand.

Huntzburger looks shocked.

"Now, i have come to decision on you meeting the girls. One dinner. That's it. Friday night. One dinner. The girls go meet you hang out. Then they have full control on what happens next Okay?" Rory asks, gripping my hand.

"Deal," he nods after a moment.

"Great see you then," Rory nods.

He nods and leaves after seeing the look in her eyes.

Rory turns to me, "I am so so sorry I don't know what he thought he was doing. And you are their father everything he said was wrong. You are so amazing."

"I love you Rory," I smiles and kiss her.

"I love you too Jess," she smiles and hugs me.
