Caroline felt guilty for the werewolves being now no longer on Klaus's side, she knew she hadn't done anything wrong but she kept wondering that maybe it was her fault and if she had been more careful, she would have not been kidnapped and this city would still be in harmony. She needed to do something. She never was one of crossing arms and waiting to the results appear, she always did her best to get the results she wanted and so she sneak out of the Quarter and went to the Bayou to try to talk with Jackson, the alpha of the Crescent Moon pack.
Once Caroline arrived to the Bayou, the small group of werewolves who were seating in a circle looked at her and quickly got up, walking over to her with a look that made her fear her stubbornness but she didn't ran away, she couldn't do that, she would feel like she had failed.
"What do you want?" Jackson asked angry.
"I want for us to talk."
"That's probably just a trap. Klaus and the others might be somewhere near to attack us when we least expect." One of the werewolves said to Jackson.
"I came alone and in peace. I just wanted to talk. No one knows that I'm here. I mean, do you really believe Klaus would let me be here after what happened? No!" Caroline said and noticed how the group started to ease a bit.
"Fine. Why are you here?" Jackson asked, showing no emotion.
"I'm here to ask you to give a chance to Klaus and the city. Was there a better way to handle what happened? I'm sure there was. But none of us can think coldly and rationally when someone we care about is in danger and there is no leads. They were concerned about me and the lack of clues made them act without thinking about the consequences. Of course they could have find another way to stop the people who were involved in my kidnapping but they just went with their guts. If one of you was kidnapped and there was no clues, then you find out that was a vampire who kidnapped your friend or loved one, you'll probably during a fight kill the vampire with a simple bite. Look, you can't expect us to always do the right thing, we try but everyone makes their mistakes. Please give Klaus a chance. New Orleans is an important place to him and all he wants is to protect it and to have everyone living in harmony. If you start a war, then you won't just destroy what Klaus and everyone has built to be able to give people harmony but also you will make kids and innocent people get hurt in the process. I know that's not what you want. So, what I ask of you is that you please reconsider your decision." Caroline said and the group looked at each other, communicating without using actual words.
"I'm sorry, Caroline, but we can't do what you ask of us. We understand that the Mikaelsons were concerned about you but this event simply shows that when there's a time of crisis, the Mikaelsons won't think in who they hurt to get what they want. We are already few, we can't afford to lose more people."
"You can think about it. You don't need to give me an answer now."
"Our answer won't change." Jackson said and so Caroline walked over to her car, as the figures started to disappear.
Caroline was opening the door of the car when she feels an arrow flying to where she was, making her quickly turn and grabbed it, quickly throwing it to the ground and looking around, then she felt someone grabbing her by the neck, pushing her against her car.
"W-Wh...?" Caroline tried but the woman was choking her.
"That little speech might be nice and everything but I won't let anyone forget that you are the reason Tyler and Hayley are dead." The woman said. "If you come back here again to try changing everyone's minds and give a chance for your precious Klaus to hurt more people, I won't be so gentle on you." Then she smiled and bite Caroline. "So you can have something to remember me by."
The woman left and Caroline quickly got in the car and drove to the Quarter. Once Caroline arrive to the Quarter she saw her friends and Klaus with concerned looks and in a circle with a map while Klaus gave them instructions.
"If we divide, we can find her sooner and I'll get to kill the person who's hurting her, then putting his head in the wall to show everyone what happens when they try to hurt people close to me." Klaus growled.
"No need for that. I'm here." Caroline said, making everyone look at her.
"We thought something had happened to you." Bonnie said.
"We were gonna go look for you now." Elena said.
"Where the bloody hell were you?!" Klaus yelled trying to only show anger but his eyes were filled with worry.
"I'm sorry. I had to sneak out because I knew you wouldn't let me leave the Quarter alone. Much less go talk with... someone."
"Who is that someone?" Klaus asked upset.
"Jackson..." Caroline said almost in a whisper.
Niklaus looked at Caroline angry but quickly changed to worried and scared, then back to angry.
"Was he who hurt you?" Klaus asked trying to be angry but his tone showed that he was clearly now more concerned than angry.
"No! No. He listen to me and when I was about to leave someone I don't know that is part of the Crescent Moon pack appeared and told me to never go there and try to change Jackson's mind and this was something for me to remember her by." Caroline said with a forced smile because she was trying not to show how the poison of the werewolf bite was now starting to hit on her really hard.
"Come here, Love!" Klaus said and picked Caroline in bridal style, taking her to their bedroom.
Once he closed the door and lay her on their bed, he sat next to her, knowing no one would be able to listen to their conversation.
"What the bloody hell were you thinking, love? Do you have any idea how worried I was? I should make you beg for my blood for the way you made me feel. But we both know I can't watch you stay in pain." Klaus said and bite his wrist giving it to Caroline, making her taste his amazing blood and making her feel better.
"I'm so sorry." Caroline whispered when finished drinking Klaus's blood. "I'm sorry I'm such a disappointment and a big fat failure."
"What are you talking about? Why are you talking so badly about yourself?" Klaus asked not knowing why Caroline would think so low about herself.
"Because I am. I can't protect myself to avoid getting kidnapped, I can't make anyone see what you and everyone did was because of you being worried and thanks to me now no one wants to live by the rules nor be in harmony. It's all my fault!" Caroline said in tears and Klaus hugged her.
"None Of it was your fault. If someone's to blame, it's me. If it wasn't for me, Tyler wouldn't have met Hayley and betrayed you, meaning you'd still be with Tyler, so Tyler and Hayley would have not kidnapped you and hurt you and they wouldn't have died nor would Bonnie need to practice black magic. Alaric is right. Everywhere Mikaelsons go, darkness and destruction finds us. I knew being with you could make you be in danger but I always believed I would always be able to protect you from it but I couldn't do that. I'm sorry, love." Klaus whispered and Caroline kissed him.
"If it wasn't for you I also wouldn't know what it was to be madly in love, I wouldn't know how to admit that I enjoyed being vampire, I wouldn't be able to be myself. I'm glad you got in my life and put everything upside down." Caroline said and Klaus kissed her with everything he had.
