You walk down to the halls of SM Entertainment, smiling from ear to ear and making your steps faster at a time. You hum happily and hold the lunch box that you prepared for your boyfriend Lay. You turn to the next hallway where the studios are located. Your eyes find Luhan and you call him out.
"Luhan-ssi!" you yell and he stops walking.
"Oh! Denise, what's up? Is that for me?" he jokes with his hands in his pocket.
"Aniyo, it's for Lay. Where is he?" you ask eagerly.
"Uh, he's in the studio right now. He's practicing for a music video." he says awkwardly.
"Ah, jinja?"
"Ne. He's with Nelly." he says as your heart seems to frop from your chest as you hear her name.
"Oh, uh- ara-sseo." you stutter.
"Gwaenchanha?" he asks putting a hand on your shoulder looking at you in concern.
"Ne, gwaenchanha." you fake a smile adn he buys it.
"Ara, go now. He's probably starving." he says tapping you lightly on the shoulder.
"Ah, yeah. I'll catch you later." you say and he waves as he walks away.
You quickly and nervously walk to the studio and find it open. You see Nelly and Lay talking while holding up their scripts. You decided to eavesdrop for a litle while.
"Kunde, Saranghae." she says.
"Mian, I am in love with somebody else. Look, you are a nice lady, you are pretty, you are kind, and you are really sweet. But, I don't think I am for you." Lay says doing his actions.
"I don't care if you don't love me, just marry me please." she cries holding onto him.
He turns around. "Jeongmal Mianhae-yeo, I-" he is cut off by a kiss.
Your hands automatically drop the lunchbox, which made a loud thud on the floor and captured their attention. You felt so stupid, staring at them like that. It is all just an act, nothing means to it, probably for her something means to it, but not for Lay. You mentally scold yourself for being too emotional. You stare at them as they pull away. Lay looks at you in shock and Nelly plasters an evil smirk.
"Denise." Lay says as he lets go of Nelly's arm. Youo quickly look on the floor and crouch to grab the spilt lunch box. You hear footstesp approach you.
"Gwaenchanha?' he asks.
"Ne. Mian, you were in the middle of acting and I disrupted you and made this mess.'' you say as you grab the omo rice with your bare hands and sniff.
"You're not fine, let me call a custodian to do that yeah?" he says holding your hand to help you up.
"Ani, I'll do it. Really." you insist.
"No, ireona." he smiles sweelty and you obey.
You walk to the couch by the windows and sit there. Lay grabs a towel and cleans your hands with it. Suddenly, you hear his stomach growl and you look at him.
"That was your lunch babe." you say and frown.
"Yah, gwaenchanha." he chuckles.
"I have lunch for you." Nelly says.
"Oh, gee. Thanks." Lay says taking the lunch box.
"I made that." Nelly brags as Lay rubs his chopsticks together.
"Jinja? Let's try it then." he smiles at her turning his back at you.
"Mmm, this is so good Nel." he says and she giggles.
"Komawo." she says putting her fingers on her lips while giggling like a kid.
"You're a great cook." he smiles and you look down.
''Here try this sushi that I invented." she says as she takes one with her chopsticks and feed Lay.
"It's really good too." he says smiling.
"Here, you haven't tried this huh? You don't have it in there." he adds.
"Oh, it's okay, just eat." she says but he shakes his head and brings the food to her mouth.
"Yah." she whines playfully hitting Lay's arm, he chuckles and continue to eat.
You just sit there like the third wheel. You decided to get up and walk away.
'Yah! Den!" he calls you but you didn't respond.
You feel his hands grip your arms and you stop but try your best to pull your arm from him.
"Yah, what's wrong?" he asks worriedly.
"Nothing. Something got in my eye." you lie wiping your eyes with the back of your hand.
"Oh, really?"
"Yes! Can you just let go of me so I can go home and you can continue on flirting with Nelly!' you yell not intending to.
"What?! You know it's not real." he says throwing his arms in the air.
"I know! But what you just did Lay! Gosh!" you yell.
"We're friends Denise! For God's sake stop being so suspicious, this is pathetic!"
"Pathetic? Well you know what you just did? I hope you do, because it hurt me."
"How?" he demands crossing his arms.
"You were feeding each other, like a couple. And you forgot and acted like I am non-existent!" you cry.
"I didn't Denise."
"Then what?"
"I don't know! You always act like this whenever I am partenered with a girl, you are always jealous, you never trust me when it comes to work!"
"Wow, so now it's me?" you hoff.
"It's always been you. You are the problem, not me." he says and you roll your eyes as you try to keep the tears from scaping your eyes.
"You know what, I should go back to Nelly. She's probably ready to 'flirt'." he says gesturing his fingers in quotation marks when he said flirting.
"Fine!" you yell and he walks away.
You stand there speechless, he left you standing there uncertain about crying or holding it in. He walks towards the studio door and grab the knob, he walks in and slams the door. At the moment when you almost jumped off the spot you are standing, tears fall from your eyes and stream down you smooth cheeks. You cry, not letting any sound out. You suddenly hear guys laughing, heading towards your direction. You quickly wiped you tears off your cheeks and head towards the other exit to avoid your friends.
You run to your car and unlock it, you take the driver's seat and sat there to cry. You let everything out and lock your doors. You sit there, with you rhead on the steering wheel, as you hit it as hard as you can.
You scream at the top of your lungs and cry everything out. "How could you? I thought you're gonna tell me I am wrong, but you decided to hurt me more?! I hate you Zhang Yixing! I hate you!" you yell as you hit the steering wheel, and hit the horn. You rest your head on the window and left it in panic when you heard someone knocking. You look out the window and find Lay.
"WHAT?!" you yell.
"Open the door, jebal." he said with muffled voice.
"SHIRO! Go away!"
"Jebal." he pleas and you unlock your car.
He opens the driver's seat and you yell as soon as it opens.
"What do you want?! I thought you are busy with your girlfriend?"
"Look, Den. I was wrong, I knew you get jealous easily and instead of assuring you that everything will be fine, I went back to the studio with Nelly." he explains kneeling in front of you.
"Now you realize. How'd you knwo I am here?" you ask as you wipe your tears.
"We heard honking." he smiles an grab you hand. You flinch and he frowns.
"Lay, this always happens when you have a new love-team partner. I am trying, believe me. But you just sometimes hurt me, and it is really painful. I sound pathetic huh?''
"No, no you don't baby. Jeongmal mian." he says taking both of your hands and kisses them.
"I'm sorry too, I always do this to you. Work, is work." you say putting your hands on his neck.
"It's not work babe, Nelly set it up with her dad and she just wanted to flirt with me. She thought she can take me away from you by doing that." he laughs.
"Mo? So, there is no new drama?"
"Nope.'' he says shaking his head.
"That bitch." you say rolling your eyes and he chuckles.
"Shall we go home and you can cook me omo rice?" he smiles.
"But you like hers better." you say pouting.
"Well, she is actually a great cook." he says and you hit his head playfully.
"Ouchie, that hurt babe." he pouts and you kiss his lips lightly.
"Kaja, you drive. I am not in the mood." you say getting off the driver's seat.
"Jamkkanman.' he says taking you hand. "I have something for you." he adds.
You look at him with a questioned look in your eyes and tilt your head in confusion. He brings his hands in his pocket and takes out yarn bracelet with and L.
"We made this with the kids back in the orphan. I put an L for my name and I have one for me, with a D." he smiles and ties the pink and yellow yarn bracelet on your wrist. "There."
He lets go of your hand and shows his. "Couple bracelets." he chuckles. "Lame huh?'
"Aniyo. Kyeopta." you say cupping his face.
"Saranghae Denise." he whispers.
"Saranghae Zhang Yixing." you reply as he kisses you.
"Kaja?" he says with a sweet smile and you just nod.
