The middle of starting over.
The song title for the lyrics I wrote down on Ed's hand and the melody I had in my head at the interview and it was recorded
I spent two days in the studio. Ed did the background guitar and I did the rest of it. I went to Johnny and it is released today without dad knowing.
Johnny: it's out!
Bri: really?!?
Johnny: yep! Congrats!

He shrugged, "why not" he said grabbing his guitar
I set my phone up, and went live and waited for people to come on.
"Hey everyone"
"Is that Ed Sheeran?" I read out loud, "no it's not"
"Hi" he waved
"Where is your dad?"
"New York"
"I love your new song, aww thanks, it was my first song without my dads help and I'm really proud of it"
"Can you sing it for us?"
I sang it for the first time and ed played the melody along with me.
"Where are we?"
"My bathroom" ed chuckled

"Best place to sing in the whole apartment" he said
"The video of ed is hilarious"
I started laughing, "no it's not" he said crossing his arms

We shot the music video for the song and it was already climbing up the charts.
Dad was coming home today and I was excited.

Bri: didn't bother asking me if wanted to come pick up dad😑
Johnny: it's late Bri
Bri: it's 10!
Johnny: his flight gets in at almost midnight
I sat down on the couch in defeat, "you alright love?"
"You'll see him, trust me he will probably speed over here to see you"
I nodded, "you want food?"
"Fruit Loops"
Ed went into the kitchen and came back out with two bowls of cereal
"Thanks"
Justin's pov
"Johnny come on! I need to pick up bri!"
"Ok"
"Keys" he threw the keys to me and I threw my stuff in the back of his car
"Bri is pissed at me"
"Why"
"I didn't ask her to come pick you up"
"I doubt she is, she's too tired, she didn't probably mean it, she was responding to my texts in Spanish so"
He shook his head, "she is too much"
"Was she ok the whole time I was gone?"
"Yeah she was fine, why?"
"That therapy session she went to and her attempt to- I just worry about her"
"A little too much sometimes"
"I'm sorry I can't help it"
I drove to Ed's and knocked on his door.
Ed: you can come in
I opened the door and Bri was on top of ed fast asleep. "Thanks again man"
"Yeah no problem, she's tons of fun"
"She wasn't too much for you was she?"
"No no" he got up and handed her over to me
I walked out to the car and set Bri in the back and drove back to the house.
Johnny left after he helped me get my bags inside.
"See ya tomorrow"
"You mean today?" He joked
"Just go" I said chucking
I got Bri out of his car and he drove off. Bri shifted in my arms. "Ed" she mumbled
"Hey baby"
"Dad" she mumbled
"Yeah"
She wrapped her arms around my neck tighter. "How was your trip?"
"It was really fun"
"That's good"
I set her in her bed. "No I wanna stay up and talk to you" she mumbled with her eyes still closed
"You can barely have your eyes open, I'll talk to you in the morning"
"Cuddles?" She mumbled, I sat down next to her and ended up falling asleep.
The next morning rolls around and I wake up before Bri.
Jess was coming home today, she was with me the whole time in New York but had something to do when I was flying home.
Wifey😍💍: hey I'll be home in like 10
JT: yay!
Wifey😍💍: Starbucks?
JT: thought you would never ask
Wifey😍💍: the usual for both of you?
JT: yep! Thanks honey!
I tried getting up without waking Bri, but I had no such luck. "No don't leave"
"Mom is coming home with Starbucks"
"Really?" She mumbled into her pillow
"Yeah, come on get up"
She groaned as she stretched and got up. She pointed at me, "sweatshirt?"
"In my room"
She walks past me into my room and puts my sweatshirt from last night on. "Take all my stuff, it's fine"
"Really comfy"
"Hence why I bought it in the first place" she shook her head at me
"Not in the mood for the attitude dude" she said sarcastically grabbing her guitar
"What are you doing?"
"I have a song stuck in my head" she said jumping up on the counter in the kitchen
"What song" I said jumping on the counter across from her
"Take it from here" she mumbled
"That's a good one"
"Eh"
"That's my favorite on that album"
"Really?"
I strummed the melody and dad started singing we went back and forth not noticing when mom walked in.
