Nightmares

<~Chapter 5~>

"Justin we need you down here for shooting for  runner runner"

"I'm in the middle of a court case for the custody of my daughter"

"The movie comes out in 5 months"

"I'll be there in 2 weeks when the case is over" I could hear him sigh on the other side and dad looks over and sees me and points up the stairs

I sighed and went back up the stairs.

This was our life, dad was at court every day for the last week and I was to come in every couple days, and trust me it is not fun.

Dad is having a rough go with all of it, he never seems to be happy anymore. He just seems miserable, and he never wants to do anything anymore.

That's about to change, "dad come on let's go do something"

"Like what" I came over and wrapped my arms around him

"It's going to be alright you know"

"What if I lose you, I wouldn't forgive myself if I lose you"

"Dad come on we have to do something outside!" He put his head on my shoulder

"How bout we go golfing?" He picked his head up and he smiled

"Ha I got you to smile!" I grabbed his hand and got him up and got him to drive us to the golf course

Another day at court, another day to see those people.

It's been a long week at court, and it was getting to the end, it could even end today.

"Bri has Justin ever left you alone for more than a couple hours?"

"No" it was my turn for question for the day

"Has be ever hurt you in any way?"

"No"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes"

"Has he threatened to hurt you?"

"No"

"Would you ever want to live with your real parents?"

"No"

"Why is that?"

"They haven't been there for my whole life, and have just decided to show up in my life now, when I am starting a career, when I have somewhat of a family"

"They are you're real parents and have right to have you live with them, you do understand that don't you?"

"Yeah i do" I said with attitude, dad looked at me and slightly shook his head

"Well would you like that?"

"No they would be given the longest silent treatment in the history of silent treatments" dad stifled a laugh and my actual parents looked at him and I shook my head at him

"How long has Justin been there?"

"I mean 2 years, actually today is the day 2 years ago"dad smiled at me when I said that

"We are done with question for the day" I sat back down and I sat next to dad, "you ok?"

"Nervous" I whispered

"Longest silent treatment, that was funny"

"I mean it's the truth, I mean they would get the full on sarcasm and attitude until they got tired of me" he laughed

"I'm the only one that can deal with you" he kissed my forehead and turned his attention back to the stands

"Justin could you please" he got up and sat down getting ready to answer questions

"Is it true you have been caught on camera drunk?"

"Yes"

"And that you don't exactly have a normal life to be raising a daughter?"

"I mean she handles it well"

"Well but from being adopted to being Justin Timberlakes new daughter"

"Well I wanted to give her a new life"

"And it's true that you have gone through many girls?"

"I don't deny it, no"

"Is Bri your seconds priority behind the girlfriend when you are dating?"

"No of course not" dad looked nervous

"That is all for today, Justin you will need to be back tomorrow, Brianna you are done for now" as soon as he finished talking dad put his arm around my shoulders and he led us out of the building

We had dinner plans with Jessica and dad could not be late. He sped through downtown la and ran about 2 red lights. "Dad slow down!"

"We are already late, that god damn court case"

I went on my phone and posted the picture of me and dad from the other day. We were both laying down and both of my arms were around his neck and his face was buried on my shoulder

Two years with this dude. Have no clue what I would do without you dad, you're my best friend. Thanks for being my go to, and my partner in crime😏we have so many great memories and tons more memories, nerf wars, and arguments in the future😂🙃I love you to the moon and back💕❤️😍😘@jtimberlake

When we got there jess was waiting for us to have dinner. "Happy two years guys!"

"You make it sound like we are married" dad laughed

"Why would I marry him" I said with disgust

Dad laughed and put his head on Jess's shoulder. " fine then be that way" he replied

The rest of the night was one to remember

So these chapters, the court case are based on the new movie gifted. I saw the movie and was inspired by it so if you haven't seen the movie I recommend seeing it!!
