Chapter 13
"Please, just for once, Lorietta. Listen to me." He said. I groaned again and stomps my feet like a kid.
"I know! You don't have to remind me for twenty times!." I yelled at him
I heard Ulysses chuckled while combing his burned hair using his finger. Well, atleast he is optimistic. Still, he can see Zeus as nis brother. Despite that burning slahs lightning accident that occurred minutes ago.
"That's twenty two, mind my correction." Ulysses commented in a strong accent.
"Lorie--." I cut Zeus off.
"Yeah, yeah! Do not go out from this room. Listen to my five hundred year old master and be a prison hpinside this huge mansion. I can follow." I even show hand gestures.
I saw Remus smirked at me as they are still waiting for Zeus to come with them but Zeus can't just leave me here alone. He said he might want me to put on a chain just for me to stay in one place and listen to him.
"I promise." I calmly said.
"There is no promise here. We do act." He said with so much conviction.
I raised an eyebrow. Well???
"Times up." Connor stand between us and grabbed Zeus's wrist.
"Thank you, sis for being so so understanding." He told me and smiled timidly. "But we need to borrow your beloved master for now. Gonna bring him back safe and sound, but we'll gonna try to take away those damn lightning and thunders."
Zeus glared at Connor, but he just ignored it. Umismid ako at pumamewang. I really don't understand why everything that Zeus is concerned, is my concern as well.
"I'm gonna sleep." I said. Tumalikod na ako at nag inat inat. I can feel their eyes watching my every move. Like a typical hunters eyes.
I heard Zeus mumbled something. "Oh come on, don't fool me! You've been asleep for 84 hours!."
Hell yeah, he won't just stop. Umirap akong muli ng tumalon padapa sa kama. I've been asleep for 84 hours but why does it feels like I am still groggy and tired? I turned my head to them?
"Thanks a lot!." Connor shouted before dragging Zeus who's having a tantrums outside.
"Sleepwell, our lady." Ulysses winked again at me before closing the door.
Finally, peace.
Nang sila ay makalabas. I headed to the window saktong pagkabukas ko ay nakita ko sa baba na sinusuklay ni Abel ang buhok ni Abaraxas. He then, sensed my stares, he looked at me. He waved at me and smiled.
"Wanna go horse back riding with Abel's guidance?." He asked. I chuckled and nodded.
He whispered something to Abraxas and then the horse neighed before flying up to my windom. I gulped. I mean, are we both good now? Is he gonna throw me away or drop me to death? Damn.
Nang siya ay nasa kay bintana ko ay dahan dahan akong umakyat rito. Both were worrying me, it's either malalaglag ako o sususwagin ako ng kabayong ito. But he let me off calmly. I touched his mane and I can feel a warm feeling.
Nang makababa ay tinapik ni Abel ang likod ni Abraxas.
Abel's on his usual thing. Half naked, smirking. Well, if he's a human, he'll he a total fuckboy. No offence meant. That's the reality of his kind of human up in Earth.
"You going now, brother?." A voice asked from behind, turned out it was Cain. He was half naked. Of course, they're twins. The bulkiness of their body was screaming clubs, girls, nightouts, etc. I jsut hate my guts.
"I'm just going to give the lady a ride." He casually said.
Cain nodded and smiled at me. "Well, then, enjoy the ride, milady." He formally said before walking away.
"What does he do for living? I mean, you.." He pulled Abaraxas rope forward. "You're like the happy go lucky brother."
He creased his forehead before glancing at me and to the road. Some royal guards greets me and some maids bowed politely at me and Abel.
"We do herbal and different services." He shrugged. "You know, saving life services??."
Kasabay ng paglalakad ng marahan ni Abraxas ay ang pag ihip ng hangin sa aking buhok. Maingat ko itong sinalikop at ipinatong sa iisang gilid lamang ng aking balikat. I saw how wind brushed Abel's hair and he didn't even bother to take care of it.
"Oh, that's all?." I asked him.
"I guess so. Aside from being a referee tp the successors? Not so much work." We both chuckled at the thought.
"Do they really fight often?."
"Before you arrived, it was almost always. Like a simple missing shirt will lead them to shoot arrows at each other. Leaving the door open makes them go war and ruckus around the mansion." He then shrugged again.
Hindi ko maimagine kung ganoon nga ang nangyayari. That's weird. Ang lalaki na nila! Matatawa siguro ako kung nasasaksihan ko iyon.
"Have you met their parents?." I was suddenly curious. Hindi nila ako naku kwentuhan tungkol sa kanilang mga magulang. Ang tanging alam ko lang ay nasa central agartha sila at nagta trabaho.
That's justifiable though.
"Who's parents?." He looked at me.
I tilted my head and looked at him confused. He stopped maneuvering Abraxas.
"Who's who's parents?." Taka kong tanong.
His mouth opened lightly. Like he wasn't expecting the questions. Mali ba ang naitanong ko? Wala naman akong maalalang may nasabi akong hindi ka aya aya?
"You don't know, do you?." He asked.
"I---what is it?."
He closed his eyes firmly and i was confused for minutes.
"They have three mothers. They are only related because of Gregori." He stated.
Before I could express my shock towards his revelation a loud thunder echoed through the lawn. That's my cue. Zeus's is probably looking for me! My instinct let me pull Abraxas rope to fly and immediately opened my mind link.
"I'll borrow Abraxas for now, Abel!." I shouted before storming up.
Abraxas neighed and stopped exactly on my window where he got me earlier. I saw how Zeus eyes bore on me. He glared at me first but it was changed because I smiled at him. I have no idea if that's really the reason.
He draught towards the window and held his hand. Cautiously, I grabbed his hand and with his force he carried me inside my room.
"Abraxas, you can go now." He said. Abraxas just neighed, as usual and walk away.
I turned to face him only to saw his face dark and grim. I just grunted. Hindi na ako ngumiti dahil alam kong hindi naman na siya tatablan nun. Hindi ko nanaman siya sinunod, I'm giving him the right to get mad at me, okay!
"Fine, I'm sorry. I just got tempted." I gave in.
He's face was still expressionless.
"I would really like if one day I can maneuver a horse, professionally." I hesistated. He sighed before pinching his nose like he's really gave up on me.
Oh my.
"I'll teach you tonight. No need to get help from Abel." He whispered.
I think my face got lighter. Bumungisngis ako dahil bukod sa makakasakay ulit ako sa kabayo ay siya mismo ang magtuturo sa akin. I don't know if he'll be gentle to me but I just want to saw his gentleness.
Nah, I think I'm lost.
"Promise me you would be gentle." I said.
I saw how his lips turned into grin but he immediately covered it up with a cough. A loud gasp made us looked at the front door and there was Ulysses. With his wide eyes, he was leaning on the door.
We both eyed him confused.
"Are you finally gonna do it??." He said and he gasped again.
damn, that was cute but he look idiot
"Do what, Ulysses?." A baritone voice from Zeus.
"The gentle thing! Brother, I am so proud of you!." Ulysses clapped like a seal and jumped twice. He then, pointed his finger on me and grinned.
"Shall I get you some sexy lingerie?."
Zeus grunted. "You pervert dude! We are not talking about THAT!."
I think my face is as red as tomato. I looked away as I felt my cheeks flushed. I bit my lip and surrendered. His dirty mind and those wicked plans! Did he think that we are going to do that? Damn him, I am just sixteen!
"Oh come on, our dear Maximilian. It's not like you'll not gonna do that huh?? You are bounded to each other. I can't wait to tell the others!!." He was about to sprint off but Zeus yelled at him.
"Lorietta's just sixteen! And shut your dirty mouth, Dante! I'm gonna rip off your collections!." Zeus said.
Ulysses just laughed like a maniac and run away. The defeaning silence make the atmosphere awkward. He massaged his temples before facing me. His face was red as well and I won't blame him if he's also thinking about that right now.
That damn Ulysses invaded our mind!
"I'm sorry about that. He's just pervert..like that.." He then scratched his nape. I just nodded.
I can't even be with him for a long time due to his atmosphere what more if we have to do 'that'. I'm not really the innocent type, hello? I was born with technologies and such. Of course, I would know everything about humans. I'm a human after all.
He looked at my neck, and I thought he was checking something, his eyes became red all of a sudden but he suddenly shrugged it off. Now, I am curious about those glowing eyes. I'm gonna ask Abel next time.
"Do not take off that necklace." He said. I just nodded and pulled it out from my shirt.
I looked at it and it was dim, sometimes it was bright as the sun and then next time it was dim as dark. I don't know jow it changes.
"Why does it shines like...when...i'm in danger?." I asked him.
His piercing looks made its way towards my bone. Deep inside I was trembling but I have to look tough and strong on the outside. I mustn't let him see that.
"Exactly. It's light helps you to push away those who have bad intentions. That necklace can sense it." He stated.
Now things,p rapidly flashed through my mind. Memories came back because it was just recently! Why does when I'm almost attacked by an uninvited soul, this necklace didn't help me?? But when Grams was about to go near me, it turned into it's light-defense-mechanism??
"You mean, all the time?." I asked eyeing the necklace.
"All the time. Why? Is there something unusual?." He tilted his head.
I quickly shook my head as response. He just nodded before going to the window and closing it. I put the necklace's pendant inside my shirt again and looked at him.
"So, tonight?."
He smiled a bit. "Tonight."
