ethan:
you furrowed your eyebrows as you walked over to you phone and saw that ethan was calling. "hello?" you asked as you put your phone up to your ear. you looked over at noah and mayella playing with their toys together.
"hey y/n, daisy and i were just driving in the area and we were wondering if we could pick the twins up a little earlier?" he asked.
you looked at the time and sighed, "yeah sure," you said, hanging up after he thanked you. you walked over to the twins, "alright guys we have to go and get ready," you said sitting down on the floor with them.
"no mom can we please play for five more minutes?" noah begged as mayella nodded his head.
you shook your head, "we have-" you were interrupted when you heard a knock on the door. you furrowed your eyebrows as got up and opened the door and saw ethan with daisy standing by his side. "you weren't kidding when you said you were driving in the area, you gave me like zero minutes to get them ready," you teased.
ethan scratched the back of his neck as he was unsure of what to say, "yeah we were closer than expected," he said and daisy nodded.
"well they're still playing, i was just about to get them packed up and ready myself," you said, hinting that you were still in your yoga pants and tank top. "you can come inside," you said opening the door wider.
daisy smiled, "okay," she said.
"not you, you're not welcome in my house," you said stepping in front of her.
she looked at ethan for help and he sighed, "daisy just go wait in the car. we'll be out soon," he said and she scoffed walking to the car, slamming the door as she got into it. ethan walked into your house, you had sold the one you bought together and got yourself a smaller house just for you and the twins. "it's cozy," he said walking in and you nodded.
"yeah so i'm going to see if i can get them ready," you said walking away, ethan's eyes scanned your body and you grew slightly uncomfortable with the feeling. he heard the twins whine as you talked to them, "okay but your dad is here, so we have to get ready," you said as ethan walked in.
"daddy!" noah and mayella yelled at the same time, running to hug ethan. "daddy, this is our new house!" mayella said and he nodded.
"yeah it's so nice!" ethan said smiling at the little girl that looked most like you.
"can we get ready by ourselves?" noah asked and you smiled, the twins have recently started to become independent with getting themselves ready.
you nodded your head, "but if you need help call for me," you said watching as the two of them ran up the stairs and into their rooms. "you can stop looking at me like that," you said noticing ethan looking at you out of the corner of your eye.
"you just look really pretty," he said and you shook your head. he walked closer to you, "you've always had that natural beauty," he thought out loud and you furrowed your eyebrows.
"what are you doing? you're wife is in the car," you said and he looked down. "by the end of the day, it's her who makes you happy. it's her who you love. it's her who gets to be called mrs. dolan. you divorced me ethan and that was the end of our relationship," you said and he nodded. "i'm going to check on the twins," you said walking up the stairs leaving ethan alone.
grayson:
you walked into the crowded house, your best friends were throwing a party and you were invited. you were able to get your mom to watch james so you could go, "y/n!" you heard your name being called and you saw emily standing with your other friend harry and grayson. you smiled as you walked over, pulling them into a hug. "i hope it's okay that i invited grayson. we're still friends with him," she said close to your ear so only you could hear.
you nodded your head mumbling a 'yeah, that's fine' as you hugged harry and smiled at grayson who was across from you. you could feel his eyes on you, since the dinner with dean you hadn't talked much and if you did it was just about james. harry and emily got distracted with a few other people which left you and grayson alone.
"can we talk?" he asked and you nodded your head, following him as he went up the stairs and found an empty room. "the dinner, when we kissed - what did that mean to you?" he asked and you furrowed your eyebrows.
"i don't know grayson," you mumbled and he sighed. "i just - i don't know," you said and he stepped closer to you, pulling you in for a kiss. he pulled you closer to him as he kissed you passionately.
you pulled away gasping for some air, "what did that mean to you?" he asked and you shook your head.
"grayson i don't know!" you yelled getting aggravated with that one question. "why does it matter what it meant to me?" you asked.
"it matters because i love you y/n," he said and tears stung your eyes as you blinked them away.
"yeah and i still love you grayson," you said and he nodded. "but you're the one who divorced me. what will our friends think? your fans? our families? it's not smart to get back together after you've been divorced," you said.
he pulled you in for another kiss and then pulled away, "if we love each other than it doesn't matter. i made a stupid mistake with divorcing you. i only divorced you because i was stressed and i didn't know if being married was something that i truly wanted. but i've realized that i do want to be married only if it's with you," he said and you shook your head as you began walking away. he grabbed your wrist pulling you into him, "you can't tell me you don't feel anything," he said.
you closed your eyes, "dammit," you whispered as you leaned in and kissed him.
