the car ride was silent and you were so close to falling asleep, "home sweet home," ethan mumbled to himself as he parked the car. he turned to look at you but noticed you were asleep. in reality, you were pretending be asleep because you didn't want to walk.
he smiled to himself as he got out the car and went to your side, opening the door and gently unbuckling your seat belt as he picked you up bridal style. you soon felt yourself being laid on the bed, gently as blankets covered you making your skin warm.
the bed dipped as ethan laid down next to you, not bothering to change you nor himself. "you're so beautiful," he mumbled to himself as he admired you. "i feel like i don't say it often, but i love you and i genuinely mean that. i'm just so lucky to have you in my life," he said and you forced yourself not to smile, so you didn't hear him. "one day i'm going to marry you and we will have a family, and you'll continue to make me happy every day. i promise you, no matter what, i will never stop loving you," he said, kissing your forehead as he held you tightly ready to go to sleep.
