In this world we flit from one thing to another like crazy, and everyday there's a new 'in' thing that everyone flocks to. One day it's neon coloured eyebrows, the next it's a new phone case, and we never actually stop to think what the hell we are doing. We're throwing away our money and individuality to do what? Follow a trend that will last a day or two?
How many things do you own that was made as an impulsive buy to fit in with the latest trend? I know I've got many things in my wardrobe and makeup bag that were the result of following something I saw online. If we took a step back to actually see what we were doing, maybe we wouldn't move so quickly from one trend to another.
It's so difficult to keep up, and for the people that can't keep up financially it can be hard. People can become isolated because they can't afford the new brand everyone's buying because they spent all their money on the newest gadget that was 'in' yesterday.
It's a never ending cycle of spending, of following trends that will die out within hours.
