thursday evening; mccall household

The pack is all here. We're trying to figure out a way to stop the Dread Doctors from taking more teenagers. Earlier today Liam and Mason went back to the woods to see if they could find anything that might help. What they found were holes, lots of them, like the one Liam fell in. Deaton says it might be part of the process of turning the teenagers into chimeras.

Scott, Stiles, Malia and I went back to the tunnels but couldn't find anything.

"So, where are they keeping them? The teenagers they have already turned in chimeras." Kira asks.

"What if...what if they aren't keeping them anywhere." Lydia says. "What if they experiment on them, and just, let them go home. Isn't that what they did with Josh?"

"So you're saying there are more chimeras out there? More than there are on the list of missing teenagers?" Malia asks.

"It's possible." Theo responds.

"So this whole time, we might have been going to school with chimeras?" Kira asks.

"But who?" Lydia asks.

There's silence as we all think, but I already have an answer. "Corey. Corey and Tracy." I say and everyone turns to look at me. Mason's eyes meet mine and I instantly regret saying this out loud, but I already spoke out, so I have to continue. "They are Josh's best friends. Always together. They must be chimera's as well, it might be what brought them together in the first place. And maybe they aren't, but they have to know something. When he disappeared they distanced themselves from us, I think it's because they know something."

"Why wouldn't they tell us?" Mason asks.

"Because they're being controlled, manipulated. Because they're scared." I answer.

Mason looks down, worried about Corey, and Liam puts a hand on  his shoulder. His way of letting Mason know that it's going to be ok.

"It's too late to talk to them now, but we'll do it tomorrow." Scott says. "We'll figure it out."

We all say goodbye and head home, anxiously waiting for tomorrow, anxiously waiting for answers.

friday; martin household

"They knew we were onto them." Lydia says. "That's probably why Corey and Tracy didn't show up for school today."

"Or what if they were taken?" Kira asks.

"Also a possibility." Lydia answers.

I put my phone back in my pocket. "My dad isn't answering his phone. It might be busy down at the station. Wanna head over there and ask if anyone has filled a missing persons report for Corey and Tracy?"

"What if your dad's not there?" Kira asks.

"Parrish can help us." Lydia says with a smile.

sheriff's station

On our way, we texted Malia asking her to meet us here. The three of us walk into the Sheriff's station. It's quiet, it's not busy, it even looks a bit empty. I see my dad standing by a desk. He's not in his uniform, he's all dressed up. There's a woman with him, she's fixing his tie. She's in a beautiful dress and some heels.

They don't notice us walking towards them.

"Melissa?" I ask when we reach them.

They both turn to look at us.

"What are you guys doing here?" My dad asks, clearly not expecting us.

Kira, Lydia and I exchange glances and smiles.

"Uh, we needed to ask you something, but it can wait 'til after you guys get back." I tell them.

They start stumbling over their words, trying to explain what it is we just saw. I just smile at them.

As we all stand around them, someone roughly opens the door to the Sheriff's Station, almost ripping it off it's hinges, and walks in.

"Tracy?" I say and slowly begin to approach her. She's covered in dirt and isn't wearing any shoes. "Are you ok?"

"Veronica, what's going on?" My dad asks.

"Scott. Where's Scott?" Tracy asks.

"We can get him down here." I say and turn back to Lydia and Kira. Kira pulls out her phone and begins writing a text to Scott. I reach out my hand to her Tracy. "Why don't we wait for Scott in my dad's office?"

Tracy doesn't take my hand. She doesn't answer me. She simply stares at me. I look into her eyes and see how they turn into something reptilian like, a tail extending from her back.

Before I can even take a step back, she swings her fist into my face. I lose my balance, falling back onto the wall, before landing on the floor.

"Veronica!" I hear my dad yell out. I look in his direction and see Tracy bring her hand up and claw at my dad. He falls to the ground and doesn't get up.

Kira takes out her Katana and begins to fight Tracy. Melissa and Lydia begin to back away, staying out of Kira's way.

I get up and rush over to my dad. "Dad! Are you ok? Come on, we gotta get you back on your feet."

"I can't- I can't move." he says.

"What?" A lot of things come to my mind as I try to figure out why my dad can't move, why he's paralyzed...

"Kanima." The word leaves my lips in a whisper. "She's a kanima!" I yell out towards Kira.

I grab my dad by hims arms and pull him away from Tracy and Kira, who are still fighting. Everything happens so fast, I don't even have a chance to try and stop Tracy. Lydia is backed against a wall.

Melissa is making her way towards her, when Tracy turns and stabs Lydia in her side and then turns to Melissa, clawing at her the way she did to my dad and then hits her. Melissa falls to the floor, unconscious. Lydia is on the floor too, grabbing her bloody wound.

Kira takes her Katana and cuts Tracy's tail off. The girl screams in pain before grabbing Melissa and taking her.

I don't move. I can't move as I watch Kira become engulfed in that look like flames, but they aren't flames, it's her Kitsune aura suddenly becoming visible to us.

Kira falls to her knees, her aura no longer visible to us.

"Lydia!" I yell as I rush over to her, her blood spilling onto the floor from her wound.

shit. this is bad.

Lydia is still, but she's in pain. I can feel it.

"Get her into my office." my dad says. "Just in case she comes back."

Kira and I carefully move Lydia into my dad's office. Kira puts her hands over Lydia's wound, putting pressure on it, trying to stop the bleeding. Lydia holds back a scream.

Someone else walks into the Sheriff's station and we all tense, holding our breaths.

We see her through the window in my dad's office. It's Malia.

"Careful." my dad whispers to her.

Malia's eyes lock on Tracy's tail on the floor and then on the blood. Lydia's blood. She follows the trial into my dad's office until her eye's meet ours.

"Oh my God, Lydia." she says taking a step towards us.

"I'm ok." Lydia says. "It's not- it's not that bad."

"Malia, I'm going to take her pain, but I need you to go to the basement."

"Why?" she asks.

"They're in the basement." my dad adds.

"Who?" Malia asks.

"Tracy and Melissa." Kira says.

Malia nods and rushes in the direction Tracy went. I begin to take Lydia's pain. I can see a small sense of relief on her face but she's lost too much blood. She's pale and she's beginning to shake.

"Stay with Lydia." I tell Kira. "I'm going to see if I can help Malia. The faster we help Tracy, the faster we can get Lydia to the hospital." She nods and continues to apply pressure on Lydia's wound.

I rush out of the office, towards the basement.

"Veronica, be careful!" my dad says.

"I will be." I say and rush down to the basement. I can hear Malia and Tracy as they struggle against each other. I walk into the basement and rush over to Melissa. She's slowly regaining consciousness and I help her sit up and get her out of harms way.

I hear Malia cry out as Tracy knocks her over begins to hold her down. I walk towards them slowly.

"Tracy! Tracy, stop it!" I call out to her, but she doesn't even look up at me. She just wraps her hands tighter around Malia's neck.

I have to do something. I have to do something.

I concentrate and bring my hands up in front of me and in Tracy's direction. I take all the pain around me, all the pain I just absorbed and collect it all, concentrate it in my hands and then direct it towards Tracy.

I can feel it leave my hands, and I don't hold back.

Tracy finally looks up at me and her grip on Malia's neck loosens. She begins to gasp for air, as if the pain I'm inflicting on her makes it hard to breathe. That's when Malia turns her over and holds Tracy down, Malia's eyes are glowing blue.

I let my hands fall to my side and notice they are shaking.

Melissa is fully conscious now and walks over to me, the Kanima venom having worn off now. "What the hell is happening?"

"Lydia is really hurt. You need to get up there and help her, please!" I tell her, desperation in my voice.

The memory comes back to her and she's rushes upstairs to help Lydia.

Malia is standing up, Tracy in front of her. Tracy's eyes lack the reptilian look they had earlier.

I walk over to them and stand next to Malia.

"Tracy. Tracy look at me." Malia tells the confused girl.

"What...what's happening to me?" she asks.

"It's a lot to explain but if you come with us we can tell you what we know." Malia responds.

"If you come with us, we can help you." I assure her.

Tracy looks at us. She looks confused, scared, and has tears in her eyes.

She takes a step towards us, deciding to come with us but she never gets to. With out a sound, with out a warning three people in masks appear. One of them makes their way towards Tracy and we try to rush over to her to help her. But the other two stop us. One of them puts their hand around my neck and pins me to the wall, while the other slams Malia's head into the wall next to me and they hold us down there. Malia and I struggle against them but it's no use, they are too strong.

We helplessly watch as one of them takes a needle and stabs it into Tracy's neck and a silver liquid begins to spill from Tracy's mouth.

Failure, they say as the take the needle out of Tracy's neck.

That's when I realize who they are.

Tracy then collapses onto the floor.

They finally let us go and Malia and I fall to the floor as we watch them disappear.

We rush over to Tracy, but it's too late.

"She's dead." Malia says on the verge of tears.

"The Dread Doctors. They killed her." I say as a tear rolls down my cheek.
