"Busy?" bulong ko sa sarili kasi hindi sumasagot sa tawag ko si Jho.
Kanina may 2 missed calls siya. I am not able to pick it up kasi we were fixing our foods. The last time we talk, kaninang umaga pa. She wake me up with her call, maaga daw class niya today.
Hays, miss ko na siya..
"Missing someone?" i look at dad and smiled.
"Si Jho po kasi, di sumasagot sa tawag ko"
"Hmm still in class maybe?" he sat on my side and I automatically lean on his shoulder "Bilis mo naman mamiss si bunso" i chuckle with what he said. Bunso ang tawag niya kay Jho.
"Eh kasi po tumawag siya kanina, I didn't had a chance to pick it up" he nod and put his hand on my shoulder
"Swerte naman ni bunso, siya iniisip ng prinsesa ko kahit ako kasama niya" i look at dad at tinusok pisngi niya
"suuus! dad naman, namimiss ko lang kasi wala siya dito. Im here naman oh, solo mo ko ngayon. yiiie" i hug him and kiss his cheeks. "love you dad"
ginulo niya ang buhok ko and hugged me back "love you more, princess" tumayo siya at nilahad kamay niya sakin, inabot ko naman para makatayo ako. We head back to the cottage at nakipagkwentuhan kay mommy.
I took my phone and compose a message

Beh, lunch time na. Still in class? Eat ka na ha, don't skip! Kotong ka sakin. Missed you na, wish you were here :( love you :*
I pressed the send button and put my phone back on my pocket. Sabi niya magtetext siya kung start or end na ng class. Wala naman! 3 days palang kami dito pero i feel like 1 week na, iba talaga pag walang negra na nangungulit. I check my phone kung nagreply siya pero wala kaya bumalik nalang ako sa pag-upo sa sand at nagmoment. haha
Wala pa rin! ugh! now im pissed off! Ang dami ko ng nagawa, naka-kain na ko, nakapagswimming na, and now nagliligpit na ko ng gamit namin kasi babalik na kami sa hotel room pero wala pa ring text si Jho! What happen to 'mamimiss kita ng sobra' niya? eh parang di nga ko naalala! tss.
I shake my thoughts off and get back on what Im doing. After fixing everything i took a quick bath and throw myself on the bed.
"Tired?" dad asked and i smiled "sleep ka na muna. I'll just wake you up when dinner is ready" i just answer him with a weak smile and nod. Lumabas naman na siya ng kwarto and I sigh.
Feeling ko pagod na pagod ako. Wala naman akong masyadong ginawa. I shifted my gaze to the wall clock and unconciously rolled my eyes.
"i'ts almost 6 pm Jho! What in the world are you doing?!" i whisper and it seems that she heard it. My phone light up and flash her name. "ewan" i murmured before picking up the phone
"Beeeeeeeh" wow ha? after hours of waiting for her text ayan lang sasabihin niya?
"Oh" sagot ko para naman alam niyang di ako natutuwa!
"Eeeh galit ka ba? sorry na" why does her voice sound so happy? Naiirita ako eh. "Bati na tayo please! Sorry di ako nakapagtext. Kumain ako ng lunch promise! sorry na" I had a feeling that she's pouting. ugh! i miss her
"Where are you?" i asked not minding what she said. Galit pa ko, suyuin niya muna ko
"Dorm na po. Ikaw?"
"Sa likod mo"
"What?!" I stop myself from laughing. Lumingon yun for sure! "Sige pagtripan mo ko! miss na nga kita eh" my smile fade away with what she said
"Miss mo na ko? really? You didn't even text me. I guess you're lying" i bitterly said. What? cant help it. Im hurt! "I was waiting for your text, hindi na nga tawag eh, kasi I know you're busy. Pero wala eh, kahit text wala"
I didn't hear anything from her kaya i decided to hang up. But when im about to, she suddenly speak
"Im sorry" hindi ako sumagot. Alam niya na yun "Im sorry di ako nakapagtext though promise ko yun sayo. Natapos yung class ko ng 1:30, kumain agad ako kasi bilin mo yun. Di ko na nabasa yung text mo kasi may next class pa ko. Pero kahit di ko nabasa beh, naglunch ako, pinilit ko maglunch kahit may sunod akong class na 1:45. pinilit ko kasi ayokong magalit ka"
I remain silent, i just wanna hear her explainations. I just want her to tell me how her day goes.
"3:00 natapos class ko. Tatawag na sana ako kaso wala na, patay na phone ko. Yung 2 missed calls ko sayo, ayun sana sasabihin ko. Na baka malowbatt na phone ko at di kita macontact"
"You can just text me then"
"I miss your voice... Ayoko sa text kasi gusto kita marinig. Miss na kita beh"
And just like that, my mood changes from 'tampo' to 'natatawa' real quick!
"Okay" i said while smiling. Di niya naman makikita eh
"Okay? ayun lang?" i wanna laugh but nah. Mamaya na. "Galit ka pa rin? Okay lang? walang i miss you too? walang kilig?" and with that I burst out laughing. Walang kilig pa siyang nalalaman! hahaha
"Nababaliw na ang beh ko! Kanina galit ngayon tumatawa" natatawa-tawa ring sabi niya "So bati na tayo?"
Napailing nalang ako. This girl is really cute! i wanna pinch her cheeks right now, i miss my babybubu ..
"Sabihin mo muna na you missed me" i said and i heard her laugh
"I miss you baby damulaaaaaag! uwi ka na, miss ko na yakap mo" i had the feeling that she's pouting. She always do that pag naglalambing
"I miss you too.. Kung pwede lang lumipad na ko papunta diyan eh"
"Hahaha sira. So bati na tayo ha? wag ka na magtampo, may kwento pa naman ako!" i reach for my pillow and hug it. I close my eyes as I talk to her, imagining that this is her. Lol clingy ko.
"Ano? Bagsak ka sa exams no?"
"Hoy kapal mo! walang exam ngayon!"
"Hahaha joke. so whats your kwento ba?"
"Aww why so conyo beh? hahaha" she tease and laugh. I can see her braces kahit nakapikit ako. I just laugh too and she continue. "eto na. eto na! seryoso na!" i waited for her to talk pero wala. Chineck ko nga kung connected pa, ok naman.
"Hoy Jhoana!" I shouted
"Aray naman beh, makasigaw! May nagchat kasi binasa ko lang. Sorry na" ah ganon? inuna pa yung nagchat?
"So ano na nga?" ang tagal eh, gusto ko na marinig sasabihin niya
"Ay oo nga! Beh, remember 'Mr. torpe'?" she started and i raised my eyebrow. Note, still eyes are closed
"Yung stalker mo"
"Ay grabe siya. Secret admirer nga!" sus. secret admirer are for good looking guys. Kung hindi naman, stalker lang dapat ang tawag! lol ang bad ko. peace
"Oh what about him? may sulat na naman?"
"No! Nagpakita na siya sakin beh"
I pause and recall what she said. Nagpakita? yung manliligaw niya? Yung torpe? Yung corny? Yung stalker niya? I open my eyes and listen to her
"Beh, hindi siya stalker kasi cute siya! Papasa na siyang secret admirer! gaaad, dapat talaga andun ka kanina Bei!"
The way she talks, ang saya saya niya. Nakakatuwa naman, kahit wala ako dun atleast masaya siya.
"Sayang nga. Nakwento ko sana sa kanya yung baril ng papa mo" i laugh with my own joke. tagal ko na kasing plano yun! Yung tatakutin ko manliligaw niya para umatras at di na magpakita! hahaha
"Bad mo! Naalala mo pa yung plano mo na yun?" tumawa rin siya. Alam niya naman yung plano ko na yun. And usually mahahampas na ko sa braso, but then dahil wala ako. safe ang muscles ko ngayon. hahaha
"Oo naman. haha So what happened? kayo na?" tanong ko at napairap nalang ako. okay im weird, i know.
"Hindi no! Baliw ka" hindi ako sumagot, naiirita ko eh. Dont know why "Inaya niya ko mag-coffee after my class"
So kaya pala hindi siya nagtetext?
"Ow. That explains why" gets ko na. kaya pala di ako naalala, may kasama palang iba
"tampo na naman siya. Nahiya naman kasi akong tumanggi. Tagal niya daw inipon yung lakas ng loob niya" pakialam ko sa lakas ng loob niya? tss
"Yeah . yeah, go on. Di naman ako nagtatampo" umayos ako ng higa and face the ceiling
"Hindi daw. beh naman eh! Pag balik mo dito, papakilala kita sa kanya. Kwento mo yung baril ni papa ha?" i smiled. Pasaway ka Maraguinot. you really do know how to make me smile.
"So, what happened? What's his name?" i asked
"Marci"
"Baduy" what? totoo naman.
"Bad mo! haha anyway, ayun nga nag-coffee lang kami. Kwentuhan tapos nagpaalam siya kung pwede daw ba niya kong sunduin bukas, after class" ah ganon? sundo agad? wow.
"Pero sabi ko, magpapaalam muna ko sa baby damulag ko"
I bit my lower lip to stop myself from smiling.
"So ano po? Payag ba ang beh ko? Okay lang ba kung susunduin niya ko?" sus. bumabawi ..
"If I say no? susundin mo ba ko?" sige nga, tignan natin kung anong isasagot niya.
"Ok. Wait tetext ko lang siya na hindi pwede" what?? Ganon lang? Baliw ka talaga Jhoana!
"H-hey wait! Jho ano ka ba?!"
"What? Sabi mo wag. Tetext ko na ngayon para di na siya umasa" this girl is insane! i was just joking!
"Ugh! It was a joke! Ok? Who am I to say no? Manliligaw mo yun. Im just your bestfriend, sira ka talaga" irereject niya agad yung tao dahil lang sa ayaw ko? Im not her mom.
"You're MY BESTFRIEND, and NOT just a bestfriend! Malaki ang agwat nun sa MANLILIGAW LANG Beatriz" uh-oh. she's mad. Wrong move Bei, very wrong.
"I know but im just---"
"Comparing yourself? God Bea! Sinabi ko naman sayo kahit sino pa yan walang wala sila pagdating sayo! Bakit ba? Kasi ikaw bestfriend mo lang ako? Na kapag may manliligaw ka na, wala na ko? ganon ba?"
"What? NO! Hell no! Teka nga Jho. Calm down! Wag kang sumigaw" ano bang problema niya? Ako nga tong dapat magtampo! "Hindi ganon beh. I was just saying, na if you really want him to pick you up. A minute of silence and I heard her sob. sht! she's crying!

"Nakakainis ka-- namimiss na nga-- namimiss na nga kita eh!" she said between her sobs. sht. Jho naman!
"I know .. i know .. and I missed you too. So please stop crying, kasi kapag di ka pa tumigil. I might end up going home tonight" I heard her laugh and I sigh. I really can't let her cry, it seems like im feeling a total heart break whenever she's crying. I just can't bear with it.
"I miss you beh"
I smile and get back on hugging my pillow.
"I miss you too. So much .. So stop crying na ha? It's ok with me if he wants to pick you up after class. Just make sure to text me this time. I don't know him yet! I still have to make sure that your safe" i can't wait to go home. I have to meet that Marci guy!
"Opo. Sorry. Di na mauulit, bati na tayo ha?"

"Ikaw lang babae ko" she did not respond. Haha nagblush to "Speechless ka na naman. Pisngi mo beh, kapal ng blush on mo. hahaha"

"Hahaha i miss you na talaga beh. Pakurot nga! wala kong babae dito, mas maganda pa ko sa kanila eh" she laugh, yung tawang pang-walang bukas
"True! Bakit kasi ang hot mo beh? Pakiss nga idol!"
Para kaming baliw na tawa ng tawa. Wala eh, bestfriend connections.
"Pagbalik ko, may kiss ka sakin tatlo"
"Hahaha baliw"
Natahimik kami bigla. She did not talk and so am I. It seems like were enjoying the silence between us. Kahit walang nagsasalita we both know that were smiling. Though we couldn't see each other, we know that were happy kasi nakapagusap na kami.
"I love you beh" she said, breaking the silence.. My smile grew wider.
"I love you too beh. Can't wait to see you"
I heard a knock on my door. Baka si dad.
"Come in" sigaw ko.
"Si tito ba yan?" Jho asked on the line
"Yup beh, wait lang" i face the door and saw dad. "Dinner?" tanong ko
He nod and smile "Kain na tayo"
I raise my left hand and mouthed the words 'wait'
"Beh, call you later, kain muna kami"
"Wait beh, si tito yun? Say hi for me" I chuckle and look at dad.
"Hi daw, sabi ng bunso mo" dad smiled and sat on my bed
"Hi bunso, miss you!" i put the phone on speaker para marinig ni dad
"Miss you too tito. Sana talaga andiyan ako" Dad and i laugh at her voice. pabebe tone alert. haha
"Next time Jho, that's ok. Goodluck sa school"
"Thanks tito" Dad signaled na lalabas na siya. i just nod and said na susunod nalang ako
"Pano beh, i have to hang up. Ikaw din kain na"
"Ok po. Kain madami, maghihilamos lang ako kakain na din ako"
"Good. Sige na, i miss you. Love you!"
"Love you too damulag, byeeee miss you, mwaa!" natawa ako dun sa mwaa. haha cute
"Hahaha ok ok. mwaa" i smiled and she hang up. alam niya kasi na hindi ko ibababa yun.
I fixed myself and about to go out when my phone beep.

I send a photo of me giving her a kiss. i look really stupid on that one but who cares. If it's for my bestfriend, if it's for Jho. I would love to look stupid everyday, just to make her smile.
