"Beatriz, saan ka natulog? Hindi ka tumawag samin"
I was about to enter my room when mom came out of nowhere. Lumapit ako sa kanya at bumeso.
"I'm sorry mom. My phone's dead, nakalimutan ko na i-charge" I scratch my nape and stared at the floor "And... Uhm.. Doon ako natulog kila J-Jho"
I look up to see my mom's reaction and as what I've expected, she's grinning as if I am a kid whom she caught stealing cookies on a jar.
"Jho? Jhoana? Your girlfriend?"
"Ex-girlfriend" I corrected her but she just laugh.
"And soon to be girlfriend again?"
I took a deep breath before shaking my head lightly.
"I won't argue mom. I know I won't win over you" I raise my hands as a sign of defeat. But before I even close my door may sinabi pa si mommy.
"You may not win over me, Isabel. But I know you'll definitely win her back" she even wink at me and I just close the door para di na siya mang-asar.
"How I wish mom. Pero mukhang malabo" I whisper before throwing myself on the bed.
It's just 6 am yet my mom is already up. Early bird talaga yun eh. I close my eyes trying to remember what happened.
Ok. First, nagkita kami. Second, hinatid ko yung kotse niya while letting myself get soak in the rain that's why she lend me her clothes. -which I am still wearing- third, she cried and we have a little talk about our past. And the most important part is, we slept while hugging each other.
"We slept while hugging each other" I repeated to myself. I burried my face on the pillow and started rolling over my bed.
"SHE HUGGED ME!!!"
I definitely look like an idiot rolling over her bed and shouting things while her face is burried on the pillow, but who the hell cares?? She hugged me!! I've been longing for that hug for a long time, and really feels like home when she's in my arms.
Hugging her makes me bring back home. Jhoana is my home.
I stared at the ceiling. She's still mad at me. Tama naman siya, hindi naman niya ako ganon kadaling mapapatawad.
"Gago ka kasi eh" tinawanan ko ang sarili ko.
I closed my eyes and let myself fall asleep. I was awaken when I felt someone poking my cheeks.
"Wake up! Tulog mantika naman to!" I slowly open my eyes to see who it is "Bea! Up! Up!"
She pulled my hand and I have no choice but to sit on my bed.
"What is it, boo? Ang aga aga eh" I scratch my head at nagulat ako ng bigla niya kong hinampas
"Maaga? Alas dose ng tanghali, maaga?!"
Napatingin ako sa orasan sa kwarto ko. 12 pm na nga, ganon kahaba tulog ko?
"Ano?" She raised her brow at me
"Ok. Sorry. What is it ba?"
"So, nakalimutan mo?" I tried to think whatever she's saying, but I just can't.
"Birthday mo?" Binatukan niya ko at halos maalog ang utak ko sa lakas no.
"Birthday ka diyan! Ililibre mo akong lunch today! Gutom na gutom na ko, tulog ka ng tulog!"
She stood up and napa-"O" nalang ako at napatango.
"Ok. Naalala ko na" I chuckled "Wait for me downstairs"
