"This weekend I saw this super cool movie with my sister and oh my god Baek, it was so mind-blowning. Okay, so it was about this guy and at first he-"
Baekhyun smiles as he listens to Chanyeol excitedly explaining the movie he recently saw.
"And the the main guy was like- wait are you going to watch this movie? Am I spoiling it for you?" Chanyeol asks suddenly concerned. His eyebrows were knitted as he pouted apologetically.
Baekhyun giggles,"It's okay. You can continue." He could tell that Chanyeol was too excited to stop talking about it.
Chanyeol grins,"Yay. Okay great. Oh right! The guy was-"
Chanyeol's eyes sparkled joyously. He was doing gestures as he explained. And his eyes widens as he explains the important parts. Baekhyun laughs at him. He didn't mind listening to Chanyeol, in fact he was enjoying it.
Chanyeol stops in mid-sentence with a giant grin. "What?" He asks after catching Baekhyun laughing. Baekhyun laughs again with crescent eyes.
Chanyeol turns his head slightly and shoots Baekhyun a cheeky look with a giddy smile. Baekhyun bursts out laughing. "What are you doing silly?" He asks laughing. Chanyeol laughs before continuing about the movie.
Baekhyun places both of his palms on to the sides of his face and with his chin on both on the edge of his palms as if presenting his gorgeous face.
Chanyeol bursts out laughing and blushes. "Ah, hajima~ If you do that, I won't be able to properly tell the events of the movie." Baekhyun giggles and despite Chanyeol's plead, he continued to do so. "Aw, you're so cute." Chanyeol says before shyly covering his giant smile.
Baekhyun tilts his head to the side laughing shyly. He clears his throat and gestures towards Chanyeol. "Please continue."
Chanyeol has a last big laugh before collecting himself and continuing.
Mid-way into the plot, Chanyeol was interrupted by Minho.
"Hey Chanyeol, do you want to go practice soccer with me and some other guys?" Minho asks him.
Chanyeol turns to look at Baekhyun.
"You can go. We'll just talk about it later." Baekhyun says to Chanyeol, about to get up.
Chanyeol immediately grabs Baekhyun's hand and pulls him down at his attempt. "Thanks but maybe next time. Baekhyun and I are in the middle of a very important conversation." Chanyeol waves his free hand at Minho dismissively
Minho laughs,"Alright then." Baekhyun turns to look at Chanyeol as Minho leaves.
"What?" Chanyeol asks innocently. Baekhyun eyes in surprised. "You can go if you want.."
"I don't want to. I want to stay here with you."
Baekhyun knits his eyebrows. "Why?"
Chanyeol gives Baekhyun's hand a comforting squeeze. "Because like I said, we are in the middle of a very important conversation. And I am having some serious bonding-slash-quality time with my best friend. Why would I want to do anything else?"
Baekhyun laughs at his oddly absurd answer. "You sure you don't want to go?"
Chanyeol makes a face,"Is there something wrong with spending time with my best friend?"
"No." Baekhyun immediately rejects. "I'm just.. surprised..You don't have to act like I'm important.." He scratches his neck.
"What? You've always been important to me Baek. No one understands or care about me like you do. You're literally my other half." Chanyeol says sincerely.
Baekhyun laughs,"Okay..Alright. Continue then."
Chanyeol grins,"Where was I? Oh right! Then he told the other guy that-"
Again, Chanyeol was making expressive faces along with gestures. Baekhyun laughs at him. This was his first time seeing someone so enthusiastic and passionately about story-telling.

The yellow roses Baekhyun received from Chanyeol as a gift, were in a vase by his window.
They were starting to die. The petals were shriveling up and the stem was starting to dry up.
"Sorry bro, but it's time to throw them away it's dying." Jade points out to him.
Baekhyun pouts,"No. They're were so pretty. I don't have the heart to do such acts of evil."
Jade rolls her eyes,"Baek, they're dying. Soon your room is going to start smelling like dead musty flowers. And the water is starting to turn mucky."
Baekhyun sighs,"But they're so beautiful!"
Jade ceased to no longer see the beauty of the dying roses but Baekhyun could. It wasn't about its physical appearance but rather who gave it to him and what it meant to him. Even if it's petals shrivels up dry and dead, it's beauty was everlasting in Baekhyun's mind and heart.
Baekhyun counted a total of 12 yellow roses. He didn't have the heart throw them all away and so he save the most beautiful yellow rose after 30 minutes of indecisiveness.
He pinned the shriveled up yellow rose onto his wall as a token of remembrance.
That night, Baekhyun slipped into bed. He smiled at the yellow rose on his wall. It was as if the rose was watching him as he slept. And it was positioned so that it was the first an last thing Baekhyun sees before he goes to sleep.

"Pick a partner then pick a topic and begin researching. You'll have this week to work on your powerpoints on which ever topic you decide. Next week, you'll all have to present in front of the class. Use your time wisely and get started." Ms. Kim announces to the class.
Immediately Chanyeol sends Baekhyun a cheeky best friend look. Baekhyun laughs and returns the favor.
"Baekhyuuuunn is miiine. Everyone back away from hiiiim~!" Chanyeol's deep voice echos lazily. Baekhyun laughs at him.
"Shut up." Chen mutters. Ms. Kim looks at Chanyeol and Baekhyun.
"Are you sure you can handle working with Baekhyun, Chanyeol?" She asks.
Chanyeol places his arm around Baekhyun's neck. "Yes. Of course! Why are you even asking? We are like the next dynamic duo or something. We're going to do so well and blow your mind away with the greatest PowerPoint presented to you, Ms. Kim. Don't worry. I got this- I mean we got this."
Ms. Kim looks at him skeptical. "I guess.. Well Baekhyun, just come tell me if you need a different partner." Baekhyun gives her a smile.
"Heeey~ I'm right here! That's very mean. How would you know I'm the loud distracting one? What if Baekhyun is actually the one who messes around and gets easily distracted?" Chanyeol tries to put up a fight.
Ms.Kim laughs,"Oh trust me, I know."
Baekhyun laughs,"C'mon lets to get started." Chanyeol smiles happily following behind him.
15 minutes into researching...
"HAHAAHA! Baekhyun look at this photo!- BAEK! Looks at this adorable ferret!" Chanyeol point at the screen laughing. Baekhyun couldn't help but laugh.
"But Chan~ We have to focus to get this done." Baekhyun whines trying to win him over.
Chanyeol smiles,"Okay. I'll get focus Byun. Did you really think I was going to let you do all the work alone? Pfft. No way." Chanyeol says.
Baekhyun grins,"Thank you."
Ms. Kim smiles at them. She silently thanks Baekhyun, the only person who can get Chanyeol to focus and actually do his work.
Next week..
It was Chanyeil and Baekhyun's turn to present to the class.
"Alright guys! This is going to be the best presentation of all day." Chanyeol says confidently causing Baekhyun to laugh.
"Really?" Kris asks bored.
"Definitely." Chanyeol replies.
Baekhyun cleared his throat. "We'll begin now.."
"Okay, everybody shut up," Chanyeol tells the class. They laughed instead.
"Chanyeol!" Ms. Kim warns him.
Chanyeol smiles at her,"My apologies. Everybody shut your mouths.." Ms. Kim was still looking at him warningly. "..please." He adds in.
"We did out researched on global warming.." Baekhyun looks down to his flashcards.
He paused, these aren't my cards. Baekhyun finally realizes it as turns to Chanyeol.
"I've got your c-cards." Baekhyun stutters nervously in front of the class.
"Ah." Chanyeol says. "I've got this." He turns to look at Baekhyun's flash adds in his hand. He clicks on to the next slid on the PowerPoint before speaking.
Chanyeol looks at the first flashcard.
"Our..topic is..global warming..- Oh wait you already say that."
Baekhyun mentally face palms himself. The others students snickers while Chen laughs loudly.
"HAHAHAHAAHA. This PowerPoint is seriously the best presentation." Chen yells. Ms. Kim gives hums a warning look while Baekhyun glared at him.
"-Oh and how we-humans contribute to it..." Chanyeol looks at the bullet points. He then turns to Baekhyun.
"Why are they in bulletpoints? And there's only one or two words..why didn't you write sentences like mine?" Chanyeol asks him.
"Oh geez." Ms. Kim mutters.
It was clear to Baekhyun that Chanyeol's "notes" were just plagiarizing facts online. There was no way he knew all these big words.
"They're keywords." Baekhyun tells him annoyed.
"Oh.." Chanyeol mumbles.
Kris laughs,"Best presentation?"
"Greenhouse gases, pollution..contribution, recycling-" Chanyeol begins to read down the bullet points.
The class roared in laughter at his nonsense. Ms. Kim laughs in disbelief. Chanyeol was bringing Baekhyun's grade down.
Chanyeol sighs exhausted. "Baekhyun, I'm hungry."
"Chanyeol!" Baekhyun yells at him annoyed.
By now, tears were rolling down their classmates' eyes. Ms. Kim rubbed her temples trying to relief this headache.
Chanyeol chuckles,"I'm just kidding." He hands Baekhyun back his flashcards.
Chanyeol cleared his throat after having his laugh at Baekhyun's embarrassed face.
"Okay, now on a serious note. Everybody shut up now."
Ms. Kim didn't even bother to warn him anymore. She wanted this to be quickly over.
Baekhyun begins again. He was left surprised when the serious Chanyeol came out. He was no longer joking around but rather presenting informative facts to the class.
At the end of the presentation, Ms. Kim gave them feedback.
"I have to say..I'm quite surprise. I thought this was going to be absolute disaster but luckily it turned around to be a great presentation. Nice job boys."
Baekhyun lets out a relief breath before quickly returning to his seat. Chanyeol takes the seat beside him. He turns to see a grinning Chanyeol. "Scared ya didn't I?"
"Chanyeol, I swear to god-"
Chanyeol places his arm around Baekhyun's neck. "I know. I was just joking. I thought you needed some relaxation." Baekhyun looks at him in disbelief.
"Relaxation?!-"
Chanyeol chuckles and ruffles his hair. Baekhyun stops in mid-sentence when Chanyeol rests his head onto Baekhyun's shoulder.
"I'm going to sleep now. Our presentation was the best. There is nothing to look forward to now. Cover for me please." Chanyeol says to him.
Baekhyun sighs,"You are so lucky. If you weren't my bestfriend-"
"I know. I love you Byun." Chanyeol closes his eyes with a smile.
Baekhyun rolls his eyes and sighs in defeat.
