Something bright was hitting my eyes, and I rolled over in bed to avoid it. The mattress was so soft, who could blame me for not wanting to get up.
My husband could though. "Maria, wake up! Breakfast is ready!" Arthur appeared over me, and despite how early it was, he was smiling.
"Breakfast can wait," I murmured. He started giving me soft kisses on the neck. Annoyance towards him flared up, but it was drowned out by love.
"Okay okay, I'll get up,"
"Great!"
"Why do you want to get up so much anyways," I said between yawning. "I know you planned something for our anniversary, but are you sure it couldn't have waited? I need my beauty sleep after all,"
"You always look beautiful to me," He said, before cupping my chin with his hand. "And I've been planning our anniversary for three months! I can't wait any longer!"
I smiled. "I can't either,"
