Hello Readers: And welcome to another day of chapters. I hope that you guys enjoyed yesterday's chapters and are ready for a bunch more. However, we all know what this chapter is going to be about; and that's putting the finishing touches on the previous day. I hope you guys are ready for that, and a bunch more today. He just finished in the bathroom this evening, which meant that he was finally ready; ready to join the woman he loves in bed, as she slept in their hospital bed. And that's actually something that she's been doing for the past hour, as she ended up falling asleep in his arms; something that he hopes doesn't need to happen once again, as he would much rather she just stay asleep. That she stays fast asleep in their bed, as he climbs in with her. And that was why Jay was currently looking at Max, making sure that he was quiet; and it was also why he also just took him out to the washroom, so that he doesn't need to go out for the rest of the night. In fact, he thinks that Max is even asleep as he laid down on his dog bed right next to his side of the bed; so, that's exactly where he had to stay every night. And Jay was glad that was the case, because he really does help him every night, and not just with his PTSD. Rather, he also helps him with his stress, and that truly is something that he enjoys; and he has a feeling that Max knows and takes advantage of.
And that was due to the fact that he always did some adorable things, that led to him getting to the attention that he always wants; he wants to get attention from him, as he rubbed his head. And right now, that most definitely was exactly what Jay was going to do, as he walked past him on his way to bed. Just smiling at his service dog, Jay smiled as he made his way over to him; after which, he bent down and looked at Max. Putting his hand on his head, Jay smiled as he rubbed it and just held him close. Smiling at Jay as he rubbed his head, Max looked up at his veteran; the dog well aware of what time it is, and what that means when it comes to the volume that he can do. And that was due to the fact that he's already been trained to change his behaviour, and how he's going to wake him up; and so far, things have gone really good due to the fact that Max has stopped doing what he normally does. He's stopped jumping on his chest (for the time being), and that was so that Alex didn't have to risk getting hurt; especially not while she's recovering right now.
But now, she was already starting to get better; and he was glad that was the case. But that didn't mean that Jay was ready to go to the status quo, because he was being cautious when it came to how they do things; and that was because he didn't want Alex to get hurt, not when her stitches are really just starting to heal. And he would much rather not have her need another surgery, like the one she needed to have when she gave birth to Michael and Olivia; but like he just said, that was in the past due to the fact that she recovered. Now, it's just time for him to relax and take it easy. Rubbing Max's head again, Jay smiled as he looked at him; after which, he got up so that he could get in bed with the woman he loves. Because that was where he needs to be right now, so that he can sleep in bed with the woman he loves, which is exactly where they both want him to be right now. They both want him to be in bed, and they want him to just relax and take it easy with each other. After all, that was exactly what both he and Alex wanted right now.
So, he decided that he was just going to get in bed with Alex; but he was going to try and do it quietly, as he didn't want to wake Alex up. He wants to make sure that she just take sit easy, and that she relaxes; with the hopes of her just slipping into his arms once again and falling asleep. Because that's all she really needs to do right now, sleep in his arms; she needs to get a lot of rest, and Jay was just happy that they were going to be doing this with each other. So, that was exactly what Jay was ready to do with the woman he loves. He was ready to get in bed with Alex, so that she can get in his arms and fall asleep once more. Now, that was going to be perfect; and it was going to be extremely comfortable. But like he just said, he really does hope that Alex doesn't wake up as they held each other close. Going to walk up to the side of his and Alex's bed, Jay smiled as he proceeded to open the covers; doing so very quietly so that he can get in without waking Alex up, but that most definitely was not what happened. Rather, she ended up waking up tonight.
She woke up in bed, and then rolled over in bed so that she could look at Jay. "Jay?" Looking up at his wife, Jay took a breath and shook his head. "Hey, sorry about this." Alex shook her head as she heard Jay say that, not wanting her husband to feel bad for waking her up. "Let me guess, you just took Max out to the washroom?" Jay agreed with Alex. "And I went to the washroom too." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, smiling at the man of her dreams; after all, he did look pretty sexy when he was clad in nothing but those nice boxers of his. "When did I fall asleep?" Taking a breath, Jay smiled. "Maybe an hour ago." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, glad that was the case. "Hey, that's okay; but thanks for letting me sleep." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, as that was something that he was always going to do. "Hey, you have no need to worry about that; I'm always going to let you sleep if you need to sleep babe." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Right, of course." Jay smiled as he heard the woman he loves.
After which, she sat up a bit so that she could get her husband to get in bed with her; but that most definitely was not something that Jay wanted, especially since she needs to relax right now. She needs to take it easy, and she doesn't need to put everything at risk. "Hey, just stay down baby and just relax. You need to take it easy, remember?" Alex sighed as she heard Jay say that, but she also knew that he was telling her the truth; she needed to relax, and she just needed to take it easy while they're here at the hospital. "I know, and I promise that I will once you do something for me." Jay was a bit confused as he heard Alex say that. "And what would that be?" Alex smirked as she heard Jay ask her that. "What do you think?" Jay laughed a bit as he heard Alex say that, well aware of what she was talking about; she was talking about him getting bed with her, so that he can hold her in his arms tonight. And then, she'd be able to fall asleep in his arms; because that's something that she always does, whenever they're in the same bed together.
There's just something about the way that he holds her, that makes her sleep so easily; and she loves the fact that they get a chance to just sleep in each other's arms. "Let me guess, you hate that you don't like it when you're alone in bed?" Alex snickered as she heard Jay ask her that, because he already knew that was the answer; he knew that she hated it when she was alone in bed, because that was always the case. She hates it when she's not holding the man she loves in her arms, because that was the least comfortable thing in the entire world; and the only way that she would ever be comfortable, was if Jay was in her arms. "So, are you coming to get in bed with me? Or are you going to keep teasing me, simply by standing there in those nice boxers of yours?" Jay smiled as Alex asked him whether he was on his way to bed, because he most definitely was. But first, he had to do something else; he had to go check on their little ones. "I just need to do something first." Alex smiled as she heard Jay say that, well aware of what he had to do.

Making his way over to Michael and Olivia's cribs this evening, Jay smiled due to the fact that they are both so damn adorable; even when they are in the hospital, he's just glad that they're currently (basically) touch and go to this day. Even though he knows that they're in a much better state than when they were in California (as they are not in warming beds), that didn't mean that Jay wasn't still a bit worried when it came to how they are doing. He really wants to take Michael and Olivia home, and he wants to be home with his beautiful children; but he also knows that he only has one more month in the hospital, a month which he's already counting down the days. "Only twenty-nine more nights." Turning his head as Alex say that, Jay couldn't help but smile as that most definitely was exactly what he was thinking about; he was thinking about the fact that there are only twenty-nine more nights until they can bring Michael and Olivia home. "I think that we both know that I'm counting down the days." Alex agreed with Jay, smiling at her husband.
After which, she put her hand out because she wanted to have him in bed with her. "Are you going to come join me in bed now? Because I would most definitely love to have you hold me in bed, so that we can take it easy and just relax with each other." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, well aware that was the case. After all, what's better than the fact that he and Alex are going to be in bed with each other; especially when that's what they both want. They both want to be home with each other, and they just want to hold each other close, as they make sure that they take it easy with each other. "So, how are you feeling tonight? Do you need any more pain meds before we fall asleep?" Alex shook her head as Jay asked her whether she needs pain meds. "All I need is my loving husband in bed with me." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, snickering a bit as he proceeded to make his way over to their bed; that way, he could get in bed with his beautiful wife. After all, that was exactly what his beautiful wife wanted. He wanted to hold her close.
"Let me guess, you're ready to fall asleep in my arms again?" Alex sighed as Jay mentioned that, feeling bad that she did that. "Sorry about that." Jay shook his head as he heard Alex apologize for having fell asleep in his arms, as that most definitely wasn't something that she needed to do; so much so, that he needed to make sure that Alex knew that. Sitting on the edge of their hospital bed, Jay smiled as he looked at the woman he loves. After which, he got close to her and went to grab her hand; intertwining their fingers shortly afterwards, Jay smiled. "Alex, you have nothing to apologize for. You're allowed to be tired. You're allowed to sleep in my arms when you need to sleep in my arms. And that's exactly what you're going to do right now, as you make sure that you just take it easy and sleep in my arms." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, glad that was the case. After which, she smiled at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "I'm ready to sleep in your arms again." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, feeling the same way.
After which, he got close to the woman he loves and leaned in so that he could kiss her softly; taking things slow with her dreamy husband as he did that, Alex smirked due to the fact that this is everything that she wants to do with Jay right now. She wants to take things nice and slow with him, and she wants to make sure that they hold each other close; just as soon as Jay is in bed with her once again. "Okay, stop kissing me before we get in bed with each other. We need to relax, and we just need to take it easy with each other." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, well aware that was the case; after which, he got up and smiled at his beautiful wife. At the same time, Alex slipped over in bed so that she could let Jay get in bed with him; and that was exactly what Jay just did, he got in bed with her so that they could just hold each other close and relax. Smiling as he got nice and close to his beautiful wife as soon as they were in bed, Jay smirked as he watched as Alex got nice and close to him; after which, she cuddled up to him and held him close to her.
Grabbing the blankets that are on their bed, Jay smiled as tugged the covers up on top of the both of them; that way, he and Alex can be nice and comfortable as they fall asleep in each other's arms. Moving his hand to Alex's back as soon as they both cuddled up to each other, Jay smiled as he turned his head and then kissed the top of her head while stroking her back. "You comfortable?" Alex agreed with Jay as he asked her whether she was comfortable (in his arms), because she most certainly was and she'll always be comfortable whenever she's in his arms, for the simple fact that she loves him more than anything in the entire world. "I'm just glad that we're holding each other close right now, because this is everything that I want to do right now." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, and I know that. Alex laughed as she heard Jay say that, before cuddling up to the man she loves once again. "So, how are you feeling when it comes our hospital stay here in Hawaii so far?" Jay was a bit confused.
Looking down at his wife, Jay then proceeded to ask her what she was talking about. "What are you talking about Alex?" Alex took a breath as she looked up at Jay. "I'm talking about your mental health. I know that your mental health was hard in Los Angeles, but how are things here in Hawaii? I know that you're more concentrated on me right now, but you know that you can still talk to me about this; right Jay?" Jay agreed with Alex as she asked him whether he knows that he can talk to her, because he does know that; he knows that he can talk about anything with her, because she's the love of his life. "I know that we can talk Alex, and I know that we can be here for each other; and it's something that I'm going to do for the rest of my life, I promise." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, smiling as she proceeded to kiss his chest. After which, he kissed the top of her head and ran his hand up and down her back. "I can only assume that you're quite comfortable in my arms right now?" Alex agreed with Jay as he asked her that, smiling as she agreed.
"Oh, I am very comfortable with you in my arms, and that will always be the case." Alex smiled as she heard Jay say that, before feeling him kiss the top of her head again; running his hand up and down her back, Jay smirked due to the fact that this is something that he really wants to do. He wants to hold the woman of his dreams close to him, as they just relaxed with each other. After which, he smiled at the woman of his dreams. "God, I am so happy that you're in my arms right now." Alex agreed with Jay as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I am sure that's the case." Jay laughed and smiled as he ran his hand up and down her back. "And the truth is, there's nowhere I would rather be. I know that we're both worried about the twins, and I know this is not where we want to be with them; but I know in my heart that this is where we need to be right now, and I can't explain why that's the case." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I think we can just say that it's because we're happy as a family right now."
Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, well aware that was the case. And the truth is, he was really happy as a father too. "I hope you know that, at the end of the day; my favorite job in life, is being your husband." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, before smiling due to the fact that this is something that she most definitely loves. "And my favorite job is being your wife, because I am so glad that you're my husband; and that's really because you're the love of my life Jay, and this is all I want to do for the rest of my life. I want to hold you close to me until the day I die." Jay took a breath as he heard Alex say that, as he would really appreciate it if she doesn't say that word right now. Looking down at the woman he loves, Jay took a breath due to the fact that it's not something that's really interested in hearing. "Alex, can you do me a favor?" Alex agreed with Jay as he asked her that. "What's that baby?" Jay took a breath as he looked down at the woman he loves. "Can you maybe not say that right now, because there's something you don't know."
Alex was confused when Jay said that. "What is it Jay?" Jay took a breath as he looked at her. "They had to restart your heart once while you were giving birth."
