He was starting to get a little restless as he sat in the waiting room, as it was starting to get really long; but that feeling of impatience was soon replaced with a feeling of relief, as he finally got a text. Going to grab his phone, Will Halstead really hope that it was a text message from his brother. "Alex is awake." And that phrase that he just said was definitely something that got everybody's attention. "She's awake?" Turning his head, Will smiled as they looked at everybody. "Yes. However, they just asked me and Natalie to come. Not everybody, because Jay doesn't want to leave her unattended." Natalie agreed with Will when he said that, as that makes sense. After which, she smiled at everybody. Getting up, Natalie walked over to Matt this evening. "I'm probably not going to be back after I visit them." Getting up, Matt agreed with Natalie when she said that; after all, that was most definitely something he understood. "Of course. By the way, take all the time you need." Natalie agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling at him.
"Thanks Matt." Matt agreed with Natalie as she said that, before looking at Will; getting close to him, he proceeded to shake his hand. "Congratulations uncle Will." Will laughed as he heard Matt say that, before agreeing with him. "Thanks Matt." Matt agreed with his friend as he said that, before watching as Will and Natalie walked away; after which, he sat back down and smiled at his beautiful wife. Grabbing her hand, Matt proceeded to intertwine their fingers. Smiling at his girl, Matt brought her hand up to his lips so that he can kiss her hand. "Hi you." Turning her head, Gabby smiled as she looked at the man she loves. After which, she laid her head down on his shoulder before taking a breath. "Listen, can we talk while we're sitting here?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Yeah, what is it?" Gabby took a breath and just ran her hand up and down his arm. "Uhm..." Matt then looked at his wife. "You want to go be at home." Turning her head, Gabby was shocked that Matt just said that. "How did you know?" Matt smiled at his beautiful wife.
"Because I know you better than anybody in the entire world, and I know that you need to rest." Gabby sighed as she heard Matt say that. "I think that it'll help me with my pregnancy." Matt was confused as he heard Gabby say that, before looking at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "What do you mean?" Gabby sighed. "I hate to say this, but that hotel bed is not that comfortable; and I would rather not have to sleep in that, when I'm having bad dreams. Remember when I fell asleep on your shoulder for a bit?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware of what she was talking about; she was talking about when she laid her head down on his shoulder, and then took a quick nap here at the hospital. "I had a bad dream, and it was about this happening to us...again." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that it's one of her worst fears for this pregnancy; that she ends up having to give birth early. And the truth was, that was the last thing that he wanted too. He didn't want that either.
"Yeah, I get what you're saying; after all, that's the last thing that I want right now." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, taking a breath as she just held the love of her life close to him; she then went ahead and laid her head down on his shoulder. Stroking her hand with his thumb, Matt smiled as they both held each other close right now. Turning his head shortly afterwards, Matt smiled as he kissed her forehead softly. "You can always talk to me, you know that; right Gabby?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he reminded her that she can always talk to him. "I know that baby, and I promise that I will. But when we're home. And no sex today." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, understanding why that would be the case. "Maybe we can even ask your mom to keep watching the boys for the weekend? We just stay in our room?" Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, as she really likes that idea. "Yeah, I like that idea. I think it's what we both need. I still don't want you to work though." Matt agreed with his wife, smiling at his wife.
"I promise, I'm not going to work." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that he was most definitely going to be listening to her; and that was due to the fact that he wants the lingerie that she's (still) wearing for him. "Good, because that's the only way that you're going to be getting the lingerie that I'm wearing." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was going to be the case. After which, Matt smiled when he heard Jay come out to the waiting room. "Hey." Going to get up, Matt smiled as he looked at their friend. "Hey, how's Alex?" Jay sighed. "Overwhelmed, this is a lot." Matt agreed with Jay when he said that, well aware that was the case. "Yeah, I get that's the case." Walking over to Jay, Gabby proceeded to hug him. "I'm so sorry that this happened to you guys." Jay agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Thanks Gabby." Gabby smiled as she heard Jay say that. "Congratulations though, because I'm happy that you're finally a dad though." Jay smiled. "To a boy and a girl."
Matt was shocked. "Sorry, but did you say a boy and a girl? I thought you were having two girls?" Jay nodded. "Yeah, we had a son; not that I'm complaining." Matt agreed with him as he went to shake his hand, before hugging him. "Are you happy about that?" Jay agreed with Matt when he asked her whether he was happy. "Oh, I most definitely am. But I'm also overwhelmed." Matt agreed with Jay when he said that, well aware of what he's talking about. "But, that doesn't mean that I can't work; I brought my..." Matt shook his head when he heard Jay say that, stopping him right away. "Hey, stop Jay." Jay agreed with Matt when he said that. "Jay, you need to take care of your wife right now. And that's all you're going to do; please, take it easy and relax." Jay agreed with Matt when he said that, well aware that was the case. "Thanks Matt." Matt agreed with Jay when he said that. "So, a son and a daughter." Jay agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling at him. "Yeah." Gabby then smiled at her. "Well, I can't wait to hear tips on having a girl."
Jay smiled. "Oh, I just remembered. Michael James and Olivia Marie." Gabby laughed as she heard Jay say that. "I love the names Jay, they're adorable." Jay agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Thanks Gabby, I'll send those compliments to Alex." Matt agreed with Jay when he said that, before getting close to Gabby; after which, he wrapped his arm around her and just smiled. "You make sure to take care of your wife as she rests, I know that's what I did when we had Matteo and Noah prematurely." Jay agreed with Matt when he said that. "And if you guys ever need to talk to us, then you can always talk to us; I hope you guys know that." Jay agreed with the couple when they said that, well aware that was the case. "I know that. And we both appreciate that." Matt smiled. "Call me any time, okay Jay? I mean that. I want you to remember that you can always talk to me." Jay agreed with Matt when he said that, well aware of what he was talking about. "God, I really hope that I don't get PTSD from this." Matt sighed as he heard Jay say that, a bit nervous.
"Jay, I'm not sure what's going to happen. But I'm not going to give you any promises." Jay agreed with Matt when he said that, well aware that was the case. After which, Gabby proceeded to rub Matt's back; after which, they both heard Andy bark. Turning his head, Matt looked down at his dog. "Hey, calm down Andy. Everything's okay." Jay laughed as he heard Matt say that, well aware that the dogs are not the most comfortable with them not staying quiet. "Hopefully, he relaxes with you tonight." Matt agreed with his friend when he said that, before smiling at him. "Listen, I don't want to keep you here too long. You need to take it easy, and you need to relax with your family. I'll talk to Antonio for you, and make sure that he only comes tomorrow." Jay agreed with Matt when he said that. "He already sent me a text." Gabby then turned to look at Matt. "I already texted him." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife. "Yeah, that makes sense." Jay smiled, agreeing with his friends. "Thanks so much for your help today Matt." Matt agreed with him.
"Of course, Jay. It's what we need to do. We need to support each other, and we just need to relax." Jay agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling at his wonderful boss and friend. "I swear, I am not worthy to have you as my friend." Matt agreed with Jay when he said that, before smiling at him. "Have a nice time with Alex, and just take it easy." Jay agreed with Matt when he said that, before smiling. "Thanks Matt and have a nice night." Matt agreed with Jay when he said that, before watching him walk away. "Oh, you want us to tell Kelly and Stella?" Turning around, Jay smiled. "I love that idea. They're right over there." Gabby laughed. "Oh, I know." Jay agreed with Gabby when she said that, before watching as she let go of Matt's hand; after which, he proceeded to walk away so that she can make her way to Kelly and Stella's room (where she'll give them an update on Jay and Alex). At the same time, Matt smiled at Andy. "C'mon Andy, let's go say hi to your uncle Kelly before we leave to go home." Andy barked, agreeing with his patient.

6:10 PM - Severide Hospital Room, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center NICU
She just made her way to her best friend's hospital room, where she was going to visit her one last time before she leaves to go home; go home and be with her boys instead of being at the hotel that she and Matt were supposed to be staying at this weekend. And there was a reason for that, and it was because she wanted to be with her boys. She wanted to cuddle up to her boys, and just relax with him right now; but first, she had to say goodbye to her best friend. Making her way over to the hospital room door, Gabby smiled as she saw Stella sitting in bed while Kelly was sleeping in the recliner. "I can see who's getting more sleep out of the two of you." Turning her head as she heard Gabby's voice, Stella was a bit surprised. "Hey, what are you doing here?" Gabby smiled as she walked in. "Jay and Alex just had their twins." Stella was shocked. "I thought that wasn't supposed to be happen until November?" Gabby sighed. "Long story." Stella agreed with Gabby when she said that, before watching as he best friend walked over to her.
She then went ahead and hugged her. "How are you feeling?" Stella smiled at her. "I feel good, and I'm just taking it easy while doing some stuff on my iPad." Gabby just looked at her best friend when she said that, well aware of what she was talking about. "Stella, I thought we agreed that you were on maternity leave." Stella then proceeded to open her iPad, going to show her the design that she was working on. "Are you really going to complain about this one?" Going to look at it, Gabby was shocked. "Damn girl, that's great." Stella smiled at her best friend. "Plus, I get out of here tomorrow." That's when Kelly went to correct his wife. "Stella, it's Monday. Then you're on bedrest at home until Friday." Turning her head, Stella looked at her husband. "I know. That doesn't mean that I can't design from the comfort of my bed. If I can do it here at the hospital, then I can do it at our home. By the way, I'm so glad that you're here; means that I can ask your husband some favors." That's when Matt walked in, having just heard Stella say that.
"What did he do?" Turning her head, Stella laughed as he heard Matt say that. "Let me guess, you think that Kelly's in trouble?" Matt agreed. "What'd he do Stella?" Stella smiled. "Nothing. I just wanted you to do something for me." Gabby then turned to look at her husband. "Just say it, and I promise that we're going to do it for you Stella." Stella agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Do you mind stripping our bed? Put new sheets on? I want fresh, clean sheets for when we bring Kyle and Stephen home." Matt smiled as he heard Stella say that, before going to walk over to the sink; after which, he went ahead and proceeded to wash his hands so that he can see his nephews. "I can do that." Matt then smiled as he went to grab a cloth to dry off his hands. Throwing it into the garbage afterwards, Matt smiled as he made his way over to the boys. "Hi Kyle, hi Stephen. It's your uncle Matt." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before putting her hands on her stomach. "You're going to be such best friends with my baby boys Matteo and Noah."
Stella laughed. "Yeah, that's until we move out." Gabby shook her head. "You aren't moving out until our daughter is at least 3 months old." Matt was shocked when her head Gabby say that. "Excuse me?" Gabby turned her head and looked at Matt. "I'm going to be resting in bed, and not going to the office; I need my business partner at home, so you shut up because I'm already giving up my hotel stay." Matt looked at his wife as she said that. "Let me remind you that I'm doing the same thing Ms. Casey." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, before shaking her head. "Okay, calm down and relax. We don't want to fight in front of Kelly and Stella after she just gave birth." Kelly agreed with Gabby when she said that, as that most definitely was not what he wanted. "Thank you Gabby." Gabby agreed with Kelly when he said that, before smiling as she looked at her best friend. "By the way, spa day when you get out of here. The boys can watch the kids." Stella laughed as she heard Gabby say that, as she most definitely loves the idea of that.
Stella agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Oh, hell yes." Gabby smiled as she looked at her best friend. After which, she walked over to Kelly. "Come here Kelly." Kelly agreed with Gabby when she said that, before getting up so that he can hug Gabby. "Thanks for coming." Gabby agreed with Kelly as he said that, glad that she came. "I'm glad I came." Kelly agreed with Gabby as she said that, before proceeding to hug her. After which, he smiled as he turned his head and looked at Matt. "Thanks for coming too Matt." Matt agreed with Kelly when he said that, smiling as that was definitely something that he was going to do anyways. "Of course man." Kelly then smiled as he hugged his friend again. "Listen, can we talk about..." Stella then looked at her husband. "Kelly, at home." Kelly agreed with his wife when she said that, agreeing with her. "Of course." Matt just laughed as he looked at his best friend. "Of course. Listen, I'm going to get out of here before I get you int rouble with your wife." Kelly agreed with Matt, smiling at his friend.
After which, Matt smiled as he made his way over to Gabby. "You ready to get out of here?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she was ready to get out of here. "I most definitely am ready to get out of here." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, before smirking as he wrapped his arm around her; after which, he looked down at Andy. "C'mon Andy, let's get out of here so that we can go home." Andy agreed with his boss when he said that, before walking out with the couple. "Still hate that you used Andy's name for your dog!" Matt laughed as he looked at his friend. "Shut up." Kelly agreed with Matt when he said that, before watching as he walked away; after the same time, Kelly turned his head and smiled at his wife. "That was nice of them to visit." Stella agreed. "They came to visit Jay and Alex first." Kelly agreed with Stella when she said that, well aware that was the case. "I know." Stella just smiled at her husband as she continued to relax in bed, watching some TV while working on her designs. "Need anything?"
Looking at her husband, Stella smiled. "I could go for a tea." Kelly agreed with Stella as she said that, before going to get up; after which, he made his way over to her. Leaning over her, Kelly smiled as he bent down and proceeded to kiss her softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves. "I love you." Stella agreed with Kelly when he said that, well aware that was the case. "I love you too." Kissing her forehead, Kelly smiled as he got up and looked at the woman he loves; after which, he grabbed her hand and just smiled due to the fact that he's really happy. "See you soon." Stella agreed with Kelly when he said that, before watching as he made his way over to their sons Kyle and Stephen. Going to rub their cheeks, Kelly smiled. "You guys be good for mommy, and daddy will be right back." Smiling as she heard her husband say that, Stella couldn't help but be really happy that he just did that; after all, it was so adorable. And even better, it made her love Kelly even more; and that's due to the fact that he's already a great dad to their sons.

Walking out of the hospital shortly after leaving the room, Matt and Gabby both took a breath as it was a drama-filled day; a day that also brought back a lot of memories. Holding Gabby's hand with their fingers intertwined as they held each other close, Matt stroked her hand as they just concentrated on each other; after which, Gabby wrapped her arms around his bicep and lay her head down on her shoulder. Smiling, Matt turned his head and kissed the top of Gabby's head. "How are you?" Gabby sighed as she looked up at Matt. "It brought back a lot of memories." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Yeah, I can understand that." Gabby took a breath as she heard Matt say that, before rubbing her arm. "You don't think that it's going to happen again, do you?" Looking at his wife when she said that, well aware of what she was talking about. "You talking about..." Gabby sighed, nodding as that was exactly what she was thinking about. "It's why I want to go home, because I want to talk about it."
Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that they need to talk to each other about that right now. "And I promise that we will talk about it, okay?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, which is everything that she wants. "Do we need to pick something up to eat?" Gabby sighed. "Maybe we can just have a quick supper at McDonald's or something. I don't know." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, clearly able to see that she just wants to get home right now; after which, he turned to face his wife. "Hey, come here." Moving close to Matt, Gabby put her hands on Matt's chest. After which, Matt bent down and proceeded to kiss the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "Baby, I'm here for you; and I'm always going to be here for you. Our weekend plans aren't going to change, but we're just going to rest in bed." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most definitely is exactly what she wants; getting close to him, Gabby then wrapped her arms around Matt this evening.
At the same time, Matt wrapped his arm around her back as they held each other close; after which, he kissed the top of her head again. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "I love you too." Matt smiled as they both held each other close, ahead of them going home so that they can relax in bed with each other (and just hold each other close).
